EVA MARIE: “Aftermath. Noun. The consequences or aftereffects of a significant unpleasant event.”
The newly raven-haired beauty stepped into frame. Her lips were just as read as her hair used to be, but she sported her signature grin as always.
EVA MARIE: “Such a fitting name for the occasion, right? Because let's be real right now, plenty of people would call me becoming number one contender for the EBWF Women's Championship an unpleasant event. In fact, I think plenty of people would call the fact that I'm simply standing here an unpleasant event. Do I care though?”
Eva pretended to take a second to think, but instead chuckled and shook her head.
EVA MARIE: “Not at all. Why would I? This is exactly what I've always wanted.”
At that moment, she lit up. Like she had a twinkle in her eye.
EVA MARIE: “Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted all eyes on me at all times. And now, I'm getting all of that and more!”
Then she cut herself off, smirking and focusing her attention directly at the camera.
EVA MARIE: “Oh, wait...did you think I was going to say something about how ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a professional wrestler? Please. I'll save that load for the generic wannabes who wish they were in my spot, but will never get anywhere near. No, I haven't wanted to be a wrestler since before I could even talk, and I know that according to all of you, that means I don't deserve to be here. Because we all are required to pick one path in life and stick to it. That's just the way it is.”
She rolled her eyes and let out an exaggerated groan.
EVA MARIE: “You know, it's people like Natalya that have drilled that nonsensical bullshit into your heads. And yeah, I swore. I'll do it again too. Bullshit. Let's get one thing straight, right now in this moment, this is where I want to be. This is what I am passionate about. I. Love. What. I. Do. In. This. Company. Did I always in my heart know I wanted to do it for a living? No. At first, I simply took an opportunity and ran with it. But now, that opportunity turned into a passion that has kept me around longer than any of you ever thought I would. And I know that stings so bad. But you know what's going to sting even worse? When I walk out of Aftermath as the new EBWF Women's Champion.”
Pointing to herself, she pictured the moment in her head, already relishing in the thought.
EVA MARIE: “So call it unpleasant all you want. Do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel better about yourself. And yes, I'm talking to your insecure, washing machine built self, Nattie. You can consider this pay per view, this match, this moment the most unpleasant thing to ever happen to you. But do you want to know what I call it? I call it the inevitable. I call it reality. Whether you like it or not, this is Eva Marie's world now. You're just living in it.”
It seemed as though she was finished as she began to walk away, but she popped right back in frame for another moment.
EVA MARIE: “Oh, and by the way, your cat is ugly.”
Just for good measure, Eva had to go there with 2Pawz. And in typical Eva Marie fashion, she blew a kiss and flipped her hair, thus bringing an end to this scene.
