The scene opened backstage at the Barclays Center. Kevin Owens was watching footage of his match from last week's match, when he beat Matt Sydal in the first round of King of the Ring. Owens was talking, although it wasn't clear if he was talking to himself or someone else.

Kevin Owens: Did you see that? I did exactly what I said I was going to do, and beat Matt Sydal. I didn't just beat him... I destroyed him. And tonight, I'm going to do the same to Dean Ambrose. Dean calls himself the lunatic fringe, but tonight, he's in my asylum.

Owens continued watching footage of his victory over Sydal as the scene faded.
