OOC: Good luck Jayme!

As a general rule, EBWF superstars were expected to make their own travel arrangements to and from shows. Nikki Cross, however, was an exception to the rule. The reason for her special treatment was the same reason Nikki still had mandated therapy sessions every week... although the powers that be in EBWF were impressed with her in ring ability, they were concerned about her mental wellbeing. Arthur Millhouse understood this, but that didn't make driving Nikki around any less uncomfortable for him. As Arthur picked Nikki up from Sky Harbor International Airport, she looked thoroughly displeased.

Nikki Cross: This is awful, Millhouse! It's 38 degrees Celsius out there. I'm from Scotland, I don't think it's ever been 38 degrees in Scotland! How do you cope? Do us a favour and put the air con on, would you?

No matter how many times he asked Nikki to call him Arthur, she still insisted on calling him by his surname. It was as if she was keeping a barrier between them.

Arthur Woodhouse: The air con is already on. As for the weather, I used to be in the military, so I can adapt to most temperatures. Phoenix does get pretty humid though... I'm glad I don't live here.

Nikki Cross: I didn't ask for your life story, Millhouse. How far is the arena?

Arthur Woodhouse: Not far, thankfully...

Nikki laughed as Arthur drove away from the airport. 15 minutes later, he pulled up at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, where Warfare was being held.

Arthur Woodhouse: Do you need a hand with your bag, Ms Cross?

Nikki rolled her eyes as she got out of the car.

Nikki Cross: I'm not a princess, Woodhouse. Don't try and treat me like one. Thanks for the ride. See you after the show, I guess...

Arthur Woodhouse: I can hardly wait.

Nikki laughed again as Arthur drove away. As she entered the arena, Renee Young was waiting to greet her with a cameraman. Nikki grinned at Renee when she saw her.

Nikki Cross: So not only do I get a chauffeur, I get my own personal welcoming committee too? I'd feel really important if I didn't know it's just because everyone is scared of what I'll do next. Did you think I was going to beat up a car park attendant or something? Don't worry love, I'm not Cheryl Cole.

Renee didn't know who Cheryl Cole was, but she smiled politely.

Renee Young: I just wanted to get an interview with the superstar who is now 3 and 0.

There was a reason Renee was the best liked interviewer in EBWF. She knew how to charm people... even deranged superstars like Nikki. Nikki grinned and nodded.

Nikki Cross: It will be 4 and 0 after tonight, Renee.

Renee Young: Well we'll see if that's the case later on tonight when you go one on one with Summer...

Nikki cut her off before she could finish.

Nikki Cross: I hate summer.

Renee Young: Are there any women on the roster you don't hate, Nikki?

Nikki Cross: I like you...

Nikki winked at Renee, then continued speaking.

Nikki Cross: But I didn't mean Summer Rae, I meant the season. It is too hot and too humid. I'm Scottish, Renee... I can’t handle this heat. But I can handle Summer Rae. Everyone thought Alexa Bliss would be the one who stopped my winning streak, but I didn't just beat her, I made her tap. I should be wrestling Sasha Banks or Natalya, but no, they're putting me against Summer Rae. Maybe Chris Jericho heard what I said about going through every woman on the roster and took it literally.

Renee Young: Are you frustrated about facing Summer Rae?

Nikki shook her head.

Nikki Cross: I meant it when I said I'd go through everyone if I had to. I see all these other superstars, men and women, who have this sense of entitlement, but I'm not like that. I came here because I love wrestling. So would I rather be facing Natalya for the Women's Championship? Of course. But until I get that chance, I will fight anyone you put in front of me. I'm not frustrated about facing Summer Rae... I'm looking forward to beating her.

Nikki smirked.

Renee Young: You say you'll find anyone – does that include the men on the EBWF roster? I noticed a couple of tweets about you versus Braun Strowman...

Nikki started laughing maniacally.

Nikki Cross: I told Alexa Bliss a few things about myself last week, let me tell you something else about me Renee. I mean everything that I say. So when I tweeted that I would make Braun Strowman bleed, I meant it. I don't think it's going to happen, but if I'm in a match with him then hell yeah, I'll bust him open.

Nikki continued grinning. It made Renee a little nervous but she maintained her composure.

Renee Young: Okay, so what are you going to do to Summer Rae tonight? You're not planning to make her bleed are you?

There was a glint in Nikki's eye as she thought about Renee's question.

Nikki Cross: I probably shouldn't... I'll get in trouble. But you know what? It felt good making Alexa submit last week. So that's my plan for tonight. I won't make Summer bleed, but I will make her tap. I'm going to break her, Renee.

Renee Young: Okay... good luck tonight, Nikki.

Nikki Cross: I don't need luck, but Summer might.

Nikki laughed, patted Renee on the shoulder, then headed to the locker room.
