"Retaliation" by CFO$ hit and the crowd cheered as Dean Ambrose made his way to the ring. After Ambrose had entered the ring, "I Came To Play" hit and the crowd booed as The Miz headed to the ring.
As Miz entered the ring, he glared at Ambrose. The referee called for the bell and the two men locked up. Ambrose applied a headlock, but Miz broke free and pushed Ambrose into the ropes, then took him down with an arm drag. Ambrose got to his feet and Miz hit him with a series of punches, before whipping him into the corner. Corey Graves: Miz almost stole one!
Both men got to their feet and began exchanging right hands back and forth. Again Ambrose gained the upper hand, and after whipping Miz against the ropes, Ambrose hit him with a knee strike to the midsection. Ambrose then set Miz up for the Dirty Deeds, but Miz broke free, then hit an inverted facelock backbreaker, followed by a neckbreaker slam. Ambrose staggered to his feet, and Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Joey Styles: It's over! Miz wins!
Corey Graves: Can he beat The Destroyer though and win the title? We'll find out on Sunday!
Miz celebrated as Warfare went to a commercial break.
Joey Styles: Still to come, we've got the contract signing between PJ Black and Jimmy Havoc for their World Title match on Sunday. But first, we've got the Women's Champion Natalya in tag team action as she teams up with Nikki Cross to take on Summer Rae and the 2017 Queen of the Ring, Sasha Banks.
Corey Graves: Given the volatile nature of Nikki Cross, it will be interesting to see how her and Natalya fare as a team...
"Sky's the Limit" by CFO$ hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Sasha Banks and Summer Rae headed to the ring. When the Mean Girls were in the ring, "Glasgow Cross" by CFO$ hit and Nikki Cross headed to the ring. Upon entering the ring, she snarled at Sasha and Summer. "Missile" by Dorothy hit and Natalya made her way out onto the stage. Natalya walked down the ramp and as she entered the ring, Nikki pointed at herself, indicating that she wanted to start the match. Natalya agreed to let her, moving onto the apron. Nikki then pointed across the ring at Summer, challenging her to start the match with her. Summer nodded, and Sasha moved onto the apron as the referee called for the bell. Nikki charged at Summer, taking her down with a spear and punching her against the mat several times.
Joey Styles: Last week on Warfare, Summer beat Nikki Cross, ending her undefeated streak. It looks like Nikki is out for revenge here tonight!
Nikki got to her feet and stomped on Summer repeatedly, then pulled her to her feet and hit a straitjacket hangman neckbreaker. She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Nikki pulled Summer to her feet and hit a forearm smash, then went to whip her against the ropes. Summer reversed the Irish whip, sending Nikki against the ropes, then hit a single leg dropkick. Summer got to her feet and tagged in Sasha, and upon entering the ring Sasha grabbed Nikki Cross, hitting a snap suplex then hooking the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... Nikki kicked out! Sasha pulled Nikki to her feet and hit her with a series of punches, then whipped her against the ropes. As Nikki ran back towards her, Sasha went for an arm drag, but Nikki blocked it and countered with a reverse DDT. As Nikki got to her feet, Natalya tagged herself in. Nikki looked unhappy and she reluctantly moved onto the ring apron as Natalya entered the ring. Natalya hit Sasha with a backbreaker, then grabbed her by the legs, going for the sharpshooter, but Sasha kicked her away and got to her feet. The two women locked up and Sasha hit a neckbreaker, then went to the top rope, going for a frog splash. Natalya got her knees up and blocked it, then pulled Sasha to her feet, hitting a Michinoku Driver. She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Natalya pulled Sasha to her feet once more, whipping her into the corner. She ran at Sasha, going for the corner clothesline, but Sasha got her knees up and blocked it. As Natalya staggered backwards, Sasha charged out of the corner, taking Natalya down with a high knee. Sasha signalled for the Bankrupt, but as she waited for Natalya to get to her feet, Nikki Cross entered the ring and attacked her! Nikki knocked Sasha down to the mat and stomped on her several times, then pulled her to her feet and hit a swinging fisherman neckbreaker. Natalya then got to her feet, and yelled at Nikki! Natalya told Nikki to get out of the ring and shoved her... Nikki shoved Natalya back, then hit her with a headbutt! As Nikki exited the ring, Natalya staggered backwards and Sasha hit the Bankrupt, transitioning it into the Bank Statement! Natalya was unhappy to get to the ropes, and she tapped out!
Corey Graves: I don't believe it, Joey! Sasha just made the Women's Champion tap out!
Joey Styles: If she does that on Sunday, she'll win the Women's Title for the third time!
As Sasha and Summer celebrated, the camera cut to Nikki Cross, who smirked before making her way up the ramp.
As Warfare returned from a commercial break, the ring was set up for the contract signing between Jimmy Havoc and PJ Black. The red carpet had been rolled out, three leather chairs had been set up, and there were three microphones on the table. “Break the Walls Down” hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as the General Manager, Chris Jericho, made his way to the ring, accompanied by a team of security guards. Jericho carried a copy of the contract with him and upon entering the ring, he put the contract down on the table. His music was cut, and the General Manager picked up a microphone, then began to speak.
Chris Jericho: In just six days, the hottest event of the summer, Summerslam, will be taking place live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The Summerslam main event will see two of the hottest superstars in EBWF, PJ Black and Jimmy Havoc, go one on one for the EBWF World Title. Tonight, Black and Havoc will sign the contract to make that match official. First up, the 2017 King of the Ring winner… Jimmy Havoc.
Jericho sounded unenthusiastic as he announced Havoc. “I Hope You Suffer” by AFI hit, and the crowd cheered as Havoc made his way to the ring. Havoc was wearing ripped jeans and his “King of the Goths” t-shirt. Jericho, who was of course wearing an expensive suit, looked at Havoc with disdain as he entered the ring. Havoc picked up one of the microphones, and as his music was cut he was about to speak, but before he could, Jericho cut him off.
Chris Jericho: Nice of you to dress for the occasion, Havoc.
Havoc smirked.
Jimmy Havoc: I don’t need to wear a suit, Chris. You said it yourself, I’m one of the hottest superstars on the roster. I look good.
Jericho frowned.
Chris Jericho: That’s not… whatever. You’re not going to get into my head, Havoc. And I should warn you, if you lay a finger on me or PJ Black, not only will these security guards…
He gestured to the security guards stood around the ring.
Chris Jericho: ...restrain you, but you won’t get your match at Summerslam.
Havoc shrugged, still smirking.
Jimmy Havoc: I’ll play nice, boss.
Chris Jericho: You better. Okay, now it’s time for the longest reigning PTG Champion in EBWF history and current World Champion, PJ Black!
With the introduction complete, “Sick of It” by Skillet sounded throughout the arena. The Universe showed their disdain for the EBWF World Champion as he walked out onto the stage. The championship, which was strapped tightly to his waist, was hidden slightly under something out of the ordinary for PJ Black, a suit jacket. Dressed to impress, Black walked down the ramp and quickly entered the ring. He looked at Havoc dead in the eye before he walked over to the table and picked up a microphone. Black then dropped down into the leather office chair on one side of the table. He leaned back and smiled.
Chris Jericho: Thank you for joining us, PJ. It’s good to see that at least one of you knows how to dress like a champion. Havoc, take a seat.
Havoc seemed to find the whole thing amusing, and he chuckled to himself as he sat down at the table. When Havoc was seated, Jericho sat down also. He picked up the contract and passed it to Jimmy Havoc.
Chris Jericho: As the challenger, you get to sign the contract first.
As Jericho was about to give Havoc a pen, PJ Black spoke into his microphone.
PJ Black: Whoa, hold on there Chris. Look, I didn’t agree to that contract there.
Black pointed at the contract in front of Havoc. He then reached across the table and pulled it away. He pretended to look at it once again before tossing it to the side.
PJ Black: Now Chris, you, and everyone else in this ring has seen just how dominate I’ve been lately and well, I’m bored. So I had my lawyers write up a special contract for this match.
Black reached into his suit jacket and from the hidden pocket, Black pulled out his own version of the contract.
PJ Black: Here is the contract that I agreed to come out here and sign. Don’t worry Havoc, this isn’t to benefit myself. Instead, this contract here. It says that I agree to wrestle at SummerSlam and defend my championship against you in any match of your choosing. Think of it as a gift from me to you.
He leaned back once again with a cocky smirk on his face after he laid the contract out in front of Havoc. Havoc grinned.
Jimmy Havoc: Be careful what you wish for, PJ.
Havoc picked up the contract and read it to make sure he wasn’t being tricked, then signed it. He passed it back to Black, but as Black went to grab the contract, Havoc kept hold of it.
Jimmy Havoc: Now before you sign that contract, I’m to tell you what match I’ve chosen. Think of it as a gift from me to you.
Havoc smirked as he used Black’s own words against him.
Jimmy Havoc: Ever since I won King of the Ring, I’ve been thinking about Summerslam and how I could make it special. And I had an idea… but I didn’t think I’d get a chance to even talk about it, since this fucker loves to hold me down.
Havoc pointed at Jericho, who shook his head in denial. Havoc got out of his chair, then pointed at PJ Black.
Jimmy Havoc: But you, PJ, I guess you’re braver than I thought. So if you’re really willing to face me in a match of my choosing, how do you feel about a match of my design? I call it the House of Havoc.
PJ Black: House of Havoc? What are you taking me home to meet your mum?
Havoc laughed.
Jimmy Havoc: Not a chance! She’d hate you. No, it’s a simple concept really, but I think it’s… beautiful. A cage surrounds the ring, but not just any cage. This is Jimmy Havoc’s cage. A cage covered in weapons, the sort of weapons that made me famous on the indies but aren’t considered “appropriate” for a traditional wrestling company like EBWF. Light tubes, a hammer, a staple gun, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire - my favourite. If you’re letting me choose the match, you’re letting me choose the weapons too. So what do you think, champ? Are you man enough to enter the House of Havoc?
Black leaned up and yanked the contract out of Havoc’s hand. He laid it down on the table and looked at it for a second.
PJ Black: Man enough?
He stood up out of the chair and looked at Havoc. The crowd cheered as they thought they were going to see the contract signing erupt in chaos.
PJ Black: House of Havoc. Sounds like you’re going to have all the help you’re going to need. Let’s just hope you have what it takes. You’re on.
Black leaned down and signed the contract. He slid it over to Jericho as he looked up and stared at Havoc. He reached behind him under the suit jacket and unstrapped the title. He held it up in Havoc’s face. Havoc looked at the title, then grinned.
Jimmy Havoc: Keep that title close, PJ. Because come Sunday, it’s going to be mine.
Havoc dropped his microphone on the table, then excited the ring as his music hit. Just as he was about to head back up the ramp, he was attacked by one of the security guards! Havoc began to fight back, but another security guard joined the attack, and the two guards double-teamed Havoc before tossing him into the ring. Jericho nodded to Black.
Chris Jericho: He’s all yours, champ.
Jericho then exited the ring as Black picked Havoc up, hitting the Black Diamond! “Sick of It” by Skillet it and Black stood over Havoc as Warfare went off the air.
