The camera opened backstage at the Rogers Arena. Kevin Owens was stood in his locker room. The Vancouver crowd cheered at the sight of a Canadian, but there cheers were muted when the camera zoomed in to reveal Owens rewatching the end of his match at Summerslam. As Sami Zayn collapsed outside the ring, Owens laughed. Owens continued watching as the referee ended the match, declaring KO the winner. As Owens smiled rewatching his victory on the monitor, Renee Young approached him.

Renee Young: Excuse me, Kevin, I wanted to ask you a couple of questions about your match.

Owens greeted Renee with more warmth than usual. Maybe it was because he was in a good mood.

Kevin Owens: Sure thing Renee. Ask away.

Renee Young: First of all, I have to ask... does it feel good to be main eventing a show in Canada?

Of course, the crowd popped for the mention of the country Robin Sparkles made famous.

Kevin Owens: Renee, allow me to answer your question with a question. You're Canadian too right?

Renee nodded.

Renee Young: I'm from Toronto.

Kevin Owens: People always ask me if I'm proud to be Canadian. My response is that I'm proud to be from Quebec. La meilleure partie du Canada.

The crowd booed as Owens spoke French.

Kevin Owens: I mean Toronto is better than Vancouver, but then most places are. The only thing Vancouver is good for is if you want to make a TV show but you can't afford the rent in Hollywood. In answer to the second part of your question though, it does feel good to be in the main event. It's where I belong, wrestling the EBWF World Champion.

Renee Young: You've actually wrestled PJ Black before, and you were beaten in that match. Is that something that will affect your frame of mind going into this rematch?

Kevin Owens: You know Renee, I heard an interesting debate the other day. Someone asked me, if Conor McGregor boxed Floyd Mayweather in 100 different universes, how many times would he win?

Renee Young: What did you say?

Renee's curiosity got the better of her. Owens smirked.

Kevin Owens: I slapped the Starbucks out of that Punk's hand and told him I don't care about boxing or MMA. But it does raise an interesting point. If two people fight each other 100 times, the better fighter doesn't always win. The same goes for wrestlers. I am better than PJ Black, and if we wrestled each other 100 times, I'd win more matches than I'd lose. But in the squared circle, the better wrestler doesn't always win. I lost last time I faced PJ, you're right, and I've been waiting for an opportunity to set the record straight. Now I've taken care of Sami Zayn and put him firmly in my past, I'm going to beat PJ Black. And when I do, I better get given a World Title shot.

Renee Young: You mentioned Sami Zayn there, and I noticed when I walked in you were rewatching your match from Summerslam where you beat Sami Zayn after he collapsed during the match. The match was supposed to be an I Quit match, and although Zayn didn't quit you were declared the winner because he was unable to continue. I know there's a lot of history between the two of you, how do you feel about what happened at Summerslam?

Owens' smirk faded.

Kevin Owens: Is this the part where I'm expected to show remorse? Because let me make one thing clear Renee... I feel no remorse for what happened at Summerslam. Sami Zayn agreed to the I Quit match, and he might not have said those two words, but he still quit. His body quit. His body gave up, he couldn't continue, and I was rightfully declared the winner. And now, I'm finally done with him. Don't talk to me about Sami Zayn, Renee, talk to me about PJ Black. Talk to me about how I'm going to be the next EBWF World Champion. PJ Black calls himself the Darewolf... well I'm the silver bullet. And tonight is my shot to prove to everyone who still doubts me what I am capable of. This interview is over.

Owens pushed the camera away, bringing the interview to a close.
