Four in One

Post by Ben M »

OOC: Trust me to get the flu the week I’ve booked four of my characters lol... apologies for the poor showing(s), good luck to my opponents!

Nikki Cross

It was the usual setting for Nikki. A dark room. Nikki had her usual crazed demeanour as she began to speak.

Nikki Cross: Liv Morgan... didn’t I already beat you? I’ve beaten so many women since signing for EBWF, I lose track. Here’s what I do know though, Liv. I’m going to hurt you, and I’m going to beat you again. Tonight Liv, you’ll get caught in the Crossfire!

Nikki lit a match and watched it flicker in front of her, then put it out with her hand. She laughed maniacally as the scene faded.

Chris Jericho

The scene opened backstage in Chris Jericho’s locker room. Jericho was lacing up his boots ahead of his match in the Tag Team Classic. He heard a knock at the door, and a minute later his Tag Team partner, the Brooklyn Brawler, entered. Jericho didn’t look pleased to see him, and although his tone was polite, there was a coldness in it.

Chris Jericho: Steve.

Steve Lombardi: Hey Chris! I’m so stoked to be teaming with you tonight!

Chris Jericho: Yeah. It will be... interesting.

Brawler smiled. He seemed oblivious to Jericho’s lack of warmth.

Steve Lombardi: Listen, I know you only invited me to take part in this tournament as a way of messing with Jimmy Havoc, but we’ve known each other a long time and I’m so much happier to be teaming with you. I promise, I won’t let you down!

Jericho shrugged.

Chris Jericho: We’ll see. I’m confident I can beat Dar and Breeze on my own, but I might let you get in on the action. I’ll see how I feel.

Steve Lombardi: You better! I don’t want to just be a spare part, Chris. I want to be involved. I’ve been wrestling for 34 years... that’s even longer than you! I can still cut it in the ring.

Chris Jericho: ...right. Listen Steve, I’ve got a few things I need to sort out before our match. I’ll catch you later, alright?

Steve Lombardi: Sure. I can’t wait!

Brawler left the locker room and Jericho sighed, shaking his head.

The Gorgeous Guys

15 days had passed since Fanniversary, the night when Noam Dar had won the first championship of his EBWF career. The new Breakout Champion had not let the title out of his sight since. He was sat in his locker room admiring the Championship when Tyler Breeze walked in.

Noam Dar: You are so beautiful. I love you!

Tyler coughed, alerting Noam to his presence. Noam turned to face him, looking a little embarrassed.

Tyler Breeze: I could hear you swooning from outside... I thought you had a girl in here with you!

Noam shrugged.

Noam Dar: Tyler mate, I’ve got t’be honest wit’ ye... I’ve hardly thought about women the last couple o’weeks! Well, obviously I’ve still been scouting the talent - I’ve got needs, y’know? But this title, it means a lot to me. Not t’mention it’s a total chick magnet!

Tyler nodded, understanding.

Tyler Breeze: Well Noam, you need to focus because we could get more gold if we win tonight! And beating Chris Jericho is not going to be easy. He’s a ten-time EBWF World Champion you know! And we saw his match with Havoc at Fanniversary. He’s going to be a tough opponent, maybe the toughest we’ve faced in our EBWF careers thus far!

Noam Dar: Aye, but have you seen his partner? Brooklyn bloody Brawler mate! He’s probably the worst wrestler of all time.

Tyler Breeze: Maybe the ugliest too.

Noam Dar: Deffo. He can’t hang with the Gorgeous Guys... such an uggo!

Tyler Breeze: Hey, that’s my word! You’re right though - 100% uggo. The thing is, Noam, Jericho knows Brawler isn’t in our league. He’s going to try and keep Brawler out of the ring, but if we can get him in the ring, we stand a better chance of winning. I’ve got an idea.

Breeze walked up to Noam and whisper something in his ear. Noam grinned.

Noam Dar: I like it! If you were at Hogwarts, Tyler, you’d definitely be a Slytherin! Sly and cunning.

Tyler looked disgusted.

Tyler Breeze: Did you just make a Harry Potter reference? Not cool, Noam. Besides, green isn’t my colour.

Tyler walked out of the locker room. Noam laughed to himself, then turned his attention back to the Breakout Title.

Noam Dar: Keep it a whole one hund, don’t got you I got nothin...

Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens was seen walking through the backstage area. He looked angry. Renee stopped him for an interview, which seemed to make him angrier.

Renee Young: Excuse me, Kevin? I wanted to ask you about last...

Kevin Owens: About last week? Samoa Joe let me down! I should have known he would. And the next time I see him, I’m going to make him pay. There’s nothing more to be said about last week.

Renee Young: Okay, well tonight you’re going one on one with Eli Drake...

Owens cut her off again.

Kevin Owens: Eli Drake? Are you serious. When he signed for EBWF, I literally had to google him. That’s how irrelevant he is, Renee. He’s not in my league. I should be competing for the World Title, or at least the Gateway Championship. I shouldn’t be wasting my time with curtain jerkers like Eli Drake. And I’m done wasting my time with you. I prefer to let my actions do the talking, and tonight I’m going to make an example out of Eli Drake.

Owens pushed past Renee, bringing another interview to an abrupt end. Renee muttered to herself as she walked down the hallway.

Renee Young: I don’t know why I bother with some people...
