Renee Young stood backstage, her camera crew relaxed as they had a moment between filming, or so they thought. Just then from around the corner, PJ Black emerged. He bum rushed Renee who was caught completely off guard.
PJ Black: Do you have a mic? Good.
Without waiting for her to respond, Black reached down and grabbed the microphone from Renee's grasp. He then looked to the camera crew.
PJ Black: Pick up that camera, you're not going to want to miss this.
Black waited a few seconds as the cameraman picked up the camera that sat on a nearby table. He propped it on his shoulder and begun to aim as PJ got set. As soon as the crew was ready, Black begun to speak towards the camera.
PJ Black: I know what you're all going to say, and you're all completely wrong. Styles, he beat a man that was dog tired from carrying his partner the entire match a week before. Yes, you heard me right. I was tired. I was worn out. Honestly, I was so fatigued that I shouldn't have even been competing. That's how injuries happen. But, I didn't want to disappoint, so I came out and competed, like the champion I am.
Black displayed a prideful smile as he took a pause.
PJ Black: So yes, AJ, you beat me, how exciting for you. Too bad it took the worthlessness of my "partner" to help you.
PJ lifted his free hand and quoted as he spoke the word partner.
PJ Black: I use that term loosely because, Eli Drake, you suck. If I hadn't already proved it when I beat you, two weeks ago you proved it by being completely and utterly useless in our first round match. Don't get me wrong, I called it from the beginning. Honestly, I told you that I wanted and could handle it all by myself, and I proved that. I carried my team to victory without Eli Drake even lifting a finger. I didn't need him, and I don't need him. But, since this is a tag team tournament, I need to have a partner. A partner that can handle things and not be a waste of space on the apron.
Black shook his head slowly.
PJ Black: So this is what needs to happen, listen closely Havoc. Tonight, I'm going to go out to that ring, with or without Eli Drake, he'll be just as worthless either way. I'm going to beat Ambrose and Ciampa, again by myself. I'm going to advance to the finals of this tournament all on my own, but in that final match, since to be tag team champions I need to have a partner, I demand a new partner. I don't give a damn who they are as long as they step up to the plate and can prove themselves worthy of wrestling with the EBWF World Champion. Eli Drake proved he wasn't man enough for this business yet again, so if I'm going to be EBWF Tag-Team Champion with somebody, I want somebody that is worth a damn.
He took another pause as he let that all set in.
PJ Black: Now like I said, I'll go out there and I'll get the job done by myself again tonight, but for the finals, I demand a new partner. I demand you pair me with someone that can lace up their own boots. Honestly, anyone would be better than Eli Drake. Hell, even the Brooklyn Brawler was less worthless than Eli Drake. So Havoc, if you know what's best for this company like you say you do, then you will make sure your finals of this tournament is worth something. So make it worth something.
Black dropped the microphone and as quickly as he showed up on the scene, he turned and walked away. Renee bent down and picked up the microphone as she still looked shocked by PJ's sudden arrival and departure.
