What Year Is This?

Post by David »

Survivor Series was upon us, considered by many to be one of the bigger pay-per-views of the year, EBWF Survivor Series has been a staple of the company's year for ages, but this was Chris Hero's first ever showing at it. Coming off of a big debut win over “The Destroyer” Samoa Joe, Hero's morale was high, the knockout artist was all smiles after Warfare, but he knew he had to start focusing on his next opponent, in what is probably the weirdest match on the card for Survivor Series.

The cameras were placed accordingly for Corey Graves to film an interview with Chris Hero himself, EBWF's latest debut. Two chairs were placed facing each other about three feet away. Hero sat on the one on the left side of the shot, wearing a red and black basketball jersey with his name branded on it, over blue jeans, whereas Corey Graves sat on the other chair, opposite to Hero. The interview began as production signaled Corey to start things off.

Corey Graves: Welcome back, everybody, to EBWF.net, and today I have an exclusive for you. Just this week on Warfare we witnessed the highly-anticipated debut of this man, he's travelled the world collecting championships and wins all around. Now he joins the star studded roster of EBWF, and what a way to start, by defeating Samoa Joe, what was your thought process debuting against such a dangerous opponent?

Hero chuckled, almost as if he was devaluing his past accomplishments.

Chris Hero: My thought process? Win. I knew that if I were to come in with such a list of achievements and accolades, that I had to impress. I knew that Samoa Joe is one of the toughest wrestlers to ever set foot in the squared circle and I knew that beating him meant taking the first step in cementing my legacy here in EBWF. In my debut match I beat a Royal Rumble winner, a former champion, a guy who's been on top of his game for years, and he still is. Sadly for him, it looks like being on top of his game isn't enough to be better than me.

Graves nodded, acknowledging the answer before moving on.

Corey Graves: Now, on your second match in EBWF, you're facing off against WCW alumnus Buff Bagwell at Survivor Series. Do you have a strategy or a gameplan?

Chris Hero: Yeah, get a DeLorean and come back to 2017. No offense to those who paved the way for modern wrestlers, all offense to Buff Bagwell. I'm not one to bash my opponents, just last week I commended Samoa Joe for his unique in-ring abilities, and his lethal strikes... But Buff Bagwell... Buff fucking Bagwell?

Hero looks confused and almost insulted by the mere name of his opponent.

Chris Hero: Get the fuck outta here, Buff Bagwell. Buff Bagwell is what would have happened if Scott Steiner wasn't talented to begin with, and was just insane. He reminds me of a wannabe stripper whose pole is better at wrestling than he is at anything in life.

Corey Graves: You seem offended to be facing Buff Bagwell. Is this accurate?

Chris Hero: Seem? Literally the entire rest of the roster, I'd be happy to face even if I didn't win. But Buff Bagwell? A guy whose claim to fame is shaming people for their look, when he looks like a Chippendale's reject who went in too deep on PED's has no business in this ring. Especially when the last time Buff drew a dime, EBWF probably didn't even exist. Also, that was probably the only dime Buff ever drew throughout his entire career. EBWF put me in the ring with someone who calls women “broads” in this day and age. A man for whom I have no respect, a guy who I will have no issues knocking out in the middle of that ring, and making him swallow his words and his stupid hat. So, if you want a gameplan, there you have it.

Hero leaned back on his chair, as Corey made sure it was okay to ask another question.

Corey Graves: On Twitter, a very interesting interaction took place between yourself, Jimmy Havoc and Buff Bagwell, but other than that your opponent has been rather silent, perhaps opting to speak up closer to the match, do you think these mind games from Buff Bagwell will harm your mindset going into Survivor Series?

Chris Hero: No. Buff Bagwell can't do mind games. He'd need a mind to do those. Buff Bagwell wants to have fun calling my international work, my renowned career, the minor leagues, go for it. He can even knock himself out trying to guess how much I'm getting paid for beating him. What I will say though, and this might lower my cache, I'd knock Buff Bagwell out for free, I'd beat him up any day of the week. However, if somehow he's found a functioning brain, and decided he'd speak up for himself before the match, I already know what he's going to say. He will say he's the stuff, he will criticize me for not looking like a roided up douche, like he does, and then proceed to strut his backwards ass to Dallas, Texas, where Survivor Series will be taking place this Sunday, november 26. Then he'll get ready for the match, strut down that ramp, and meet me eye to eye in that ring. Then, and only then will I make him regret ever signing the dotted line on that EBWF contract. This Sunday at Survivor Series, it won't just be a win. It won't just be a Survivor Series feel good moment when the Hero defeats the Stuff. It will be a complete domination, I will beat Buff Bagwell within an inch of his life, make him beg for mercy, and then put him out of his misery with my very own Cyclone Kill, because I am the one, true Hero.

Corey signed off, as a very determined Chris Hero finished his passionate speech on his Survivor Series opponent, a man who he's never faced before.
