Renee Young stood backstage awaiting for Chris Hero to leave his locker room, clearly with some questions in mind.
Renee:
Chris, if I could get your attention quickly, last week your freestyle caught many off guard, should we expect more in the future?
Chris:
I've tried answering my own question "What does the future hold?"
Been out in the cold, with my story yet untold, aiming for championship gold,
Not knowing how this'll all unfold.
But I gotta be bolder,
There's a chip on my shoulder, about the weight of a boulder.
This pressure's increasing until I no longer can hold her.
So now I either become a championship holder,
Or an opportunity thrower, a choke artist.
And I don't know which one's the hardest,
If I win the title, am I going the farthest?
And if I lose, is my legacy permanently tarnished?
At CEOD, I'm facing Noam, must have escaped from garden,
Kid's fresh out of kindergarten, his title's so heavy, to him, it's a burden.
Gotta admit, he's headed for stardom, but I'm knocking him out, calling the curtain.
Step up to my jargon, I'm more than a wordsmith, I'm a gladiator, I'm spartan
Guard any attacks, but to me Dar gets a target.
Already finished you, haven't started to sweat.
This ain't even tennis, but I'm game, match and set.
Don't be upset I crushed you in a single vignette.
I know already, your knees are weak, palms are sweaty.
