Backstage at the Scottrade Center, Kevin Owens was making his way to the locker room. Cathy Kelley approached him. He sighed audibly.

Kevin Owens: You again? What do you want?

Cathy Kelley: I just wanted to ask you about Sami Zayn...

Kevin Owens: Do I look like Sami Zayn? I'm pretty sure we don't look alike. But let me guess, you want to know why we're on the same page? If we'll still be on the same page tonight against Miz, when the Gateway Title is on the line?

Cathy nodded sheepishly.

Kevin Owens: I can't speak for Sami, but I will say this – Sami and I have known each other a long time, and after a lot of bad blood, we realised that instead of destroying each other, we could work together and destroy everyone else. That's what tonight is about, Cathy. Destroying The Miz. So honestly, I don't care which one of us walks out as champion. As long as Miz can barely stand at the end of the match, I'll be happy.

Owens walked away before Cathy could ask any more questions.
