False Prophets

Tomasso Ciampa is seen backstage in his wrestling gear. He is alone and pacing back and forth, clearly agitated

Ciampa: The Royal Rumble is upon us. What an opportunity for the High One to spread His message to the masses, the unenlightened. Many temptations, many opponents, many false prophets, hypocrites, a few who are perhaps, beyond redemption, at least in my humble opinion but that is not my decision. I am humble, I have been humbled, I have submitted to High One's will alone. Among all of this uncertainty lies hope. Hope for anyone! Hope for everyone. A person could be on the biggest losing streak or walk into this match undefeated or with all the momentum in the world it means nothing. Does this seem right though? I ask you? High One teaches that sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. I ask you, does this work in reverse. If everything was easy and simple where would the challenge be? Without struggle are we really worthy? High One is the only true path to glory. So now I find myself asking, reflecting. Struggling. Is this the right path? I have my number and it's a low one. Not great you might say, but, perhaps the High One has provided. I am conflicted. Something doesn't sit right with me. I have reflected on the matter but there is no clarity.

Ciampa stands still, looked up and shouts

Ciampa: What do you want from me?

Ciampa suddenly drops to his knees, after a moment he nods his head.

Ciampa: My purpose is to spread the word of High One. I do not feel like it is my destiny to walk the easy path to the top. But be aware false prophets and heathens. I am watching, more importantly High One is watching. I see much, He sees all. Judgement will be handed out. The glory will go to High One. The path to destiny is not the path that is easiest to tread. 29 will stumble on the road, 1 will succeed. There's not much glory though is there?

Ciampa stands up.

Ciampa: Winning the Rumble does not honor High One. Nope. I stand alone as the only man in the match who is enlightened. False prophets, the worst offenders, they must fall. That's the most important part.

Ciampa nods and begins pacing again. This time less frantically. After a few moments the scene fades

OOC: Wanted to get something out but lost the battle with some sinus / vertigo monster. So, this is the gaga that fell out of my brain (see what I did there?)
