The scene opened backstage at Warfare. Mike and Maria Kanellis were walking arm in arm. Renee Young stopped them for an interview.

Renee Young: Excuse me, Mike?

Mike looked at her, seemingly a little irritated.

Mike Kanellis: Excuse you, Renee.

Renee seemed confused.

Renee Young: Yeah?

Mike Kanellis: Aren't you going to greet my wife? It seems a little rude not to, don't you think? I mean it's not like you can miss her. Maria's very presence brightens up this whole place.

Renee rolled her eyes.

Renee Young: Sorry. Hi, Maria.

Maria smiled.

Maria Kanellis: Hi Renee! Did you want to ask Mikey about his match?

Renee Young: Yes, I wondered if I could ask a few questions?

Maria nodded. Mike smiled.

Mike Kanellis: Go right ahead, Renee.

Renee Young: Mike, you're in action tonight against the new Breakout Champion, the Velveteen Dream, who eliminated you from the Royal Rumble this past Sunday.

Mike Kanellis: I eliminated him. Also, that wasn't a question.

Maria Kanellis: Silly Renee!

Now it was Renee's turn to look irritated. She maintained her professionalism though.

Renee Young: The question I was about to ask is, will you be seeking retribution against the Velveteen Dream tonight?

Mike Kanellis: Retribution?

Mike seemed puzzled by the question.

Mike Kanellis: Renee, retribution makes it sound like I'm angry about what happened at the Royal Rumble. I'm not. I went to eliminate Velveteen Dream, unfortunately as I did so, he managed to eliminate me at the same time. Was I disappointed? Absolutely. But I'm not seeking retribution or anything like that. After all, it's every man for himself in the Rumble. Dream was just doing what he had to do.

Maria Kanellis: You're so pragmatic, babe!

Mike Kanellis: Thank you, sweetie.

Mike kissed Maria as Renee tried not to barf.

Mike Kanellis: The thing is, Renee, Dream and I are a lot a like. He's passionate. I'm passionate.

Maria Kanellis: So passionate!

Maria's eyes lit up and she let out a small giggle.

Mike Kanellis: He is a champion, and I respect that. If I win tonight, I will be next in line for a shot at the Breakout Championship, which would be wonderful. But the thing about Velveteen Dream is, I don't need to think about dreaming. Because my dreams came true the moment I met Maria.

Maria Kanellis: Awwww, babe! I love you SO much.

As Mike and Maria embraced, Renee decided enough was enough.

Renee Young: Okay I think that's all we've got time for...

Renee made an abrupt exit as Mike and Maria began to kiss.
