The scene opened backstage, where Nikki Cross was making her way through the arena. It was obvious from her facial expressions, and the way she moved her head, that she was looking for someone. As she turned a corner, she wasn’t paying attention, and she walked straight into a crew member. The crew member was carrying a coffee, and he cried out in pain as the coffee spilled, scolding him. Startled, Nikki looked up. She glared at the crew member and yelled at him.

Nikki Cross: Watch where you’re going in future!

The crew member was too afraid to offer a retort, and as Nikki brushed past him, she was stopped by Cathy Kelley.

Cathy Kelley: Nikki, I...

Nikki cut her off.

Nikki Cross: Cathy, have you seen Finn and Braun? I can’t find them.

Cathy shook her head.

Cathy Kelley: No Nikki, sorry. I don’t think they’re here yet.

Nikki sighed and began muttering.

Nikki Cross: They better show up...

Cathy Kelley: Anyway Nikki, you have a match tonight against Summer Rae, and I...

Nikki cut her off again.

Nikki Cross: Summer Rae?

Cathy nodded. Nikki burst out laughing.

Nikki Cross: Well this should be fun. Did you see her on Warfare last week? Complaining about conspiracies, that was great.

Cathy Kelley: So Nikki, I...

Once again, Nikki cut her off.

Nikki Cross: You want to know what I think? Sure, sure. I’d like to tell Summer what I think. Here goes.

Nikki looked into the camera and spoke directly to Summer Rae.

Nikki Cross: Oh Summer, how times have changed. When I first joined EBWF, I thought you were nothing more than a blonde bimbo. Now I know you’re crazier than me! Let me set a few things straight, girl. First of all, there is no conspiracy against you. People would have to care about you to conspire against you, and they don’t. Why do you think Sasha and Eva left? They were tired of having to work with you. So you can do your detective work, spout off about how everyone is out to get you, but that doesn’t change the fact that the main reason you’re still employed here is because Wes Ikeda forgot you were on the payroll. Last week you reminded him, and he put you in a match with me. Someone who is impossible to forget. You have been in the ring with me before, back when you were focused. How can you possibly focus now? You’ve gone cuckoo! Maybe you need a bit of cognitive recalibration, so I’ll do you a favour and kick your fucking head in!

Nikki laughed, and turned her attention back to Cathy.

Nikki Cross: How was that?

This time, Nikki cut her off before she could even answer.

Nikki Cross: You’re welcome. Bye!

With that, Nikki walked away, leaving Cathy bewildered.
