EBWF's Facebook Page began to broadcast a Live video and the Rated R Superstar's smiling face took up the frame. He held a phone out at arm's length, and welcomed the EBWF Universe.
Edge: They're making an old man use technology for a Facebook Live takeover as the first matches in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament come at you live from Nashville, Tennessee. Tis the season for Edge to come this close, and then whiff! Edge to lose in the semi-finals of King of the Ring just like EVERY YEAR! The King of the Ring tournament is the one thing that has eluded me in my career and this year just might be my year. I mean look at this bracket! I win tonight on Warfare and next up I get to go through Michael Dante or EC3... whoever that is.
Edge grinned.
Edge: But first up, tonight, I get to go up against a man better suited to be called "little guy" rather than king of anything. I mean, I was honored that Michael Cole became the ultimate frat bro and called me a "stud opponent". I mean, where is the lie?
Edge's smile faded.
Edge: The lie was when you called me overrated, Rey! Overrated? Are you kidding me? And you're tired of being LOOKED DOWN ON? Rey, you're five foot six! I'm six foot five. I can't help it. I mean, I could get down on my knees while we have the match if you want, but it's been explained to me that that's rude. And to be honest, I REALLY don't want to have to take another round of sensitivity training.
He narrowed his eyes.
Edge: Speaking of sensitivity training, did you call me horsefaced? On the weekend that Justify won the Preakness? On the weekend that beautiful stallions trotted the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex all around Windsor. The only thing horselike about me is this majestic mane that Twitter has noticed I'm regrowing. I could comment, Rey, about how I'm a better worker than you, and there's no question that I'm going to beat you in this match, but I can't even speak to your talent because you've done nothing but suck since you stepped into EBWF so I'm pretty sure it's going to take me no time get through you and onto the next round of the tournament.
He grinned.
Edge: So, if you don't mind, I will be showing up to this match and the next one, and the next one, and the way the bracket shakes out I won't even have to face Randy until at least the semi-finals and then I'll finally....
It seemed to dawn on him as he always seemed to lose King of the Ring in the semi-finals.
Edge: God damnit!
