We Are Everywhere

Every screen in the entire building suddenly went black. Computer monitors stopped working. Televisions would not turn on or off. Cell phone would not dial out. All of the technology was seemingly gone. Everyone shook their phones in attempt to get them working. They smacked their palms against the televisions and computer monitors. Every attempt failed. Moments seemed to drag as no one could check their Facebook. They couldn’t watch their cute cat videos. Binge watching that new hit television show on Netflix, not anymore. Everything stopped, and in their places was only, the blackness.
W
WE
WE A
WE AR
WE ARE
The letters slowly appeared on every screen. Frantic clicking at the keyboard did nothing. Attempting to change the channel on the televisions, did nothing. All anyone could do was sit there and watch. Their eyes glued to the screens.
The two simple words slowly pixelated as they faded off the screen. The blackness remained once the last of the words disappeared. The assumptions had started. There was more to the words, but what would come next? That question would soon be answered as similar to the words “WE ARE”, more letters slowly appeared from the blackness. After a few seconds, the letters spelt out what they were meant to say.
LEGION
This time, instead of the letters fading away, every screen drifted away into the static. The loud rumble of the static rung out through all the devices. Everyone grabbed at their ears as the static noise deafened them. As quickly as the static come, it abruptly ended.
Tommy End stood in the center of the video. Flanked at his sides were Michael Dante on the right, and Zahra Schreiber on the left. Tommy and Dante shared the same sense of style as they both were dressed in a suit and tie. Zahra however, dressed a little more casual as she wore tight black leggings and a black and gold corset. She had her EBWF Women’s Championship strapped around her shoulder. Dante, with his half of the EBWF Tag-Team Championship the same way. Tommy however, he held his championship belt tucked up under his left arm. Tommy looked to his right and then slowly to his left. After a few moments in silence, the leader of the trio spoke up.
Tommy End
”The King of the Ring Tournament is nearing its end, and just like at the beginning of the tournament, each man that remains believes that at the end of this tournament, their hand will be raised in the air and they will be, King.
They believe that they will reign over this company. Dominate this company.
Each and every man believes that this is their destiny...”
Tommy shook his head before he continued.
Tommy End
”They believe it, but their beliefs are misguided. From the very start of this tournament, they were told that they could become the ruler of this company. A man with power. A man with pull around here. They were told that if they made it all the way through this tournament, they would be considered one of, if not the best this business has to offer.
But just like everything else that was told throughout the length of this tournament, all of that, was a lie.
There was no truth behind everything that was told. There’s no truth behind anything that was said in the belief that they were going to amount to something.”
He paused for a moment and looked at his comrades one more time.
Tommy End
”If you want to know the real truth, look no further than the three of us standing before you.
Dante, Zahra, and I…
This right here.. This is the truth. The three of us, we are the best this company has to offer. You don’t hear us brag about it often because quite frankly, all of our bragging, we do it in the ring.”
He paused and turned towards Zahra. He raised his free hand and he tucked her raven black hair behind her ear.
Tommy End
”Take my darling Zahra here. Shortly after she was reborn alongside us, she made her mark…
By signing the WrestleMania XVII contract in her own blood, Zahra made a statement. She continued to show her dominance when she went into WrestleMania destroyed the two women that held her down since she started in EBWF. When she left one laying in a pile of broken wood and then left the other one decapitated in the middle of the ring. She proved that she would stop at nothing to dominated in the EBWF.
Her two best friends since she began in EBWF, and she treated them with soulless aggression. She showed them no remorse, and my dear… She walked out of WrestleMania with the EBWF Women’s Championship and changed the landscape of the Women’s Division forever.”
Zahra smiled devilishly as Tommy turned around and he walked over to Dante. He placed his hand on Dante’s shoulder and took a deep breath.
Tommy End
”Also at WrestleMania, my brother and I, we stuck our claim over the EBWF Tag-Team Division. Just like we’ve done with every company we’ve ever stepped one foot into. Sure, we were up against a couple of joke tag-teams, but take a look at the landscape. The EBWF Tag-Team Division is a joke in it’s own right. But not anymore..
Now, with Dante and I in charge, the Tag-Team Division will actually mean something again. It will prove to be one of the hardest, and best divisions this company will have.”
Tommy turned forward again as he continue.
Tommy End
”You might be asking yourselves what this little history lesson has to do with the King of the Ring Tournament...”
He nodded his head as he continued.
Tommy End
”Jericho, Balor, English…
The three of you believe that being in this tournament means that you will take control. You believe that control of this company actually depends on this tournament, when in reality, control of this company has already been shifted.
This King of the Ring Tournament doesn’t mean you will gain supremacy over anything. No..
Standing in front of you right now is the supremacy of this company. Since we entered this company, the three of us has done nothing but take control. And there’s not a man...”
Tommy looked over at Zahra.
Tommy End
”Or woman, in this company that has been able to stop us. There’s no one who can stop us. We are Legion.
We are the most dominant force to have stepped into the EBWF in recent years, and it’s not because we’re the most powerful. It’s not because we’re the fast. We’re not the most energetic. We’re not popular.
No, we are the most dominant force in EBWF because there is no one who can stand up to us. Not Jericho. Not Balor. Not English…
The three of you may believe you can, and after seeing what each of you have gone through to get to this point, I know that belief has grown exponentially, am I right? Do you all feel more confident going into these semi-final matches. Do you feel that after all your previous victories make you more ready. More prepared. More.. Dominate.”
His eyes narrowed inquizically.
Tommy End
”Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, and we’ll start with you Aiden. Since day one of this tournament, you seemed to have had the biggest ego. Which has only grown with your added victories as of late. What did they say on Warfare? Seven in a row? Impressive…
You’ve seem to have racked up a lot of wins, and no losses. There’s not many men in this company that can say that. Heck, even I can’t claim to have zero losses.
I’ll admit, statically, going into this match Aiden, you seem to be the prime victor. You seem like you’ve been groomed to make it all the way. Continue on this undefeated streak and who knows, maybe even go on to SummerSlam and actually win the EBWF World Championship before you’ve even suffered a single loss. I can see the headlines now, and I bet you can do.
Hell, from the way you’ve been tweeting, I’m sure you’ve already went out and got all the party supplies that you’ll need for your World Championship victory party.”
Tommy chuckled to himself.
Tommy End
”I saw that you’ve already invited the EBWF Universe to your coronation at King of the Ring… That’s very, vain of you to do, you realize that, don’t you? Of course you do. I mean, after all, you are Aiden English. You’ve got the Jimmy Havoc seal of approvement. You’ve got the record. You’ve got everything you need to make all your procomations come true, don’t you?”
Dante shook his head, which caught Tommy’s attention. Tommy turned to Dante and asked him a question.
Tommy End
”He doesn’t have everything?”
Dante stood there with Tommy’s attention.
Tommy End
”Then my brother, tell me what Aiden doesn’t have to make all his statements come true. Tell me what Aiden doesn’t have that will make him King of the Ring.”
Tommy waited while Dante turned his head.
Michael Dante
”He doesn’t have a chance at advancing any further.”
Tommy shrugged his shoulders as he turned back around to face forward.
Tommy End
”Big words from a big fella, but he’s right.
Aiden, your next match is against me. Now, I’ll give you some credit. You’ve managed to get through some big competition, and I’m sure after beating men like Orton and Strowman, that ego you had going into this tournament has doubled, tripled even. Beating those men to advance is nothing less than impressive. I’m sure you’re going to mention beating all those men. Regardless of the methods you took to get the victory, a win is a win and you were the one that advanced.
My tenure in the King of the Ring Tournament might not be as impressive. A couple of former World Champions and a man who should have held the championship numerous times already. I could list them off, but I’m sure we’ll have some other people do that for me.”
Tommy took a moment as he walked back to the center between Dante and Zahra.
Tommy End
”The past is the past, and there’s nothing that will change that. You beat you beat to get here, and I took my own path. I beat my own competition. Each path, they lead us here. They lead you to me, and me to you.
So we can continue to dwell on the past Aiden. We can talk about your undefeated streak. We could even talk about everyone you’ve beaten in that streak. But why? What is that going to accomplish? Now you might mention the past, but lately, you’ve been talking about the future.
Last week you talked about beating the snot out of me. You talked about repaying the favor to Havoc by knocking me out of the tournament. You said all this before you knew you were going to make it to the semi-finals. You said all this before you knew I was going to make it to the semi-finals. You foreshadowed something that you had no knowledge of even knowing it would come to terms.
And now, you look to the future at the crown. You invite the EBWF Universe to your coronation. The crowning of EBWF’s newest King of the Ring, and first ever undefeated King.”
Tommy smiled as he continued.
Tommy End
”You’re all about the future, right?
I don’t know if you have some magic crystal ball or if you just picked up a Magic 8-Ball, but either way, your future.. It’s not in your hands. You may continue to make the claims. You may continue talking yourself up. Saying you’re going to be King, saying you already are King. You can look past Jericho, Balor and myself.
In you mind, you may think that this tournament is already won.
However, back here in reality, this is the truth.”
Tommy pointed at Zahra, then at Dante. He finished off by pointing at himself.
Tommy End
”This is the truth. We are the truth. And that truth Aiden… That truth is the your future… It’s in our hands.”
He outstretched his arms with another smile on his face.
Tommy End
”Your future Aiden, it’s in my hands.
The crown that you say you’ve already earned, you have to get through me to get it. To get to Jericho or Balor, you have to go through me. The EBWF World Championship match at SummerSlam..
You have to go through me.”
His arms lowered.
Tommy End
”Anything and everything you want to accomplish from here on out, you have to get through me. Forget about the finals. Forget about SummerSlam. Forget about you taking over the EBWF.
I’m the one that will choose if you deserve it. I’m the one who make either all your dreams come true, or all your nightmares. I’m the one that has this whole tournament in the palm of my hand.”
He outstretched his palm and held it in front of him.
Tommy End
”From day one, this tournament has been for our amusement. Since the beginning, everything that has happened, we allowed to happen. Everything that will happen, we will allow to happen. And if we don’t want it to happen, it won’t. It’s as simple as that.
We run the show, understand that. You all believe that Wes Ikeda makes all the decision, then you’re wrong. Wes Ikeda, he’s just the front man. He’s the face. Someone that we can use when we need. Behind the scenes, we call the shots. We make the decisions on what is best for the future of this business. For this company.
Of course I’m not talking about the three of us. Yes, we have our pull, but you’re forgetting what I said last week.
I told you all that Legion was bigger than the three of us. You didn’t believe me, and I’m sure a lot of you still don’t. You don’t want to believe it. You don’t want to believe that anyone you come in contact with could be one of us. You don’t want to believe that the people who serve your food. The people that you go to when you’re sick. The people who run this world’s government. You don’t want to believe that some of them, if not all of them, are Legion.
You don’t want to believe that, but when have I ever spoken anything but the truth. When have a ever lead anyone of you astray? When have I given you a reason to doubt me?”
Tommy took another pause.
Tommy End
”Legion is anywhere, and everywhere. We are anyone, everyone, and still, we are no one.
Zahra, Dante and I… We are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Legion. Realizing that will help you all realize just how powerful Legion it. It will help you all realize that when you’re up against Legion, you’re up against more than one man. More than one woman. More than one team.
So Aiden, when you step in the ring with me, you’ll look across the ring at one man. One man who you already think you’ve beaten. One man who you think you’ve outsmarted. When you step in that ring with me, you’re going to see a man who you think you can manipulate. You think your the little games that you’ve been playing to make it this far will continue. You think that it’ll get you into the finals.
But let me ask you this Aiden…
How do you know that your little plans, they’re not already thought up? How do you know that anyone you’ve paid to get involved, they’re not one of us? How do you know that the referee in this match is a member of Legion?
That is what you’re up against when you go up against us. The unknown.”
Tommy gave a nod and smiled.
Tommy End
”When you’re up against us, you don’t know if you’re up against just one of us, or if everyone from the referee to the time keeper to even Mauro Ranallo at ringside. You don’t know who we are. You don’t know who has control. You don’t know who you can trust.”
With his free hand, Tommy reached up and rubbed his beard. He took a second before he continued.
Tommy End
”That mistrust. That is what’s going to be your downfall. You won’t know who could turn you. Tommaso Ciampa. Jimmy Havoc. Even you little wife, Raquel. Do you know if you can trust her?
You brought her in to be by yourself, just as you’re advancing in this tournament. Just as you advance into the tournament to face off against us. Right before you compete in what could be considered as the match of your life. Right before you compete against Legion. Raquel comes into the picture.
Hmm...”
Tommy stroked his beard a few more times.
Tommy End
”A coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
That’s the thing Aiden, you can’t tell. You don’t know, do you? No, you don’t know.
Sure, the two of you have been together a long time. Way before you ever even thought of joining EBWF. Way before we ever thought of joining EBWF. You’ve been through thick and thin. The ups and the downs. You were there for her, and she was there for you. Over the years, you lives joined and you knew everything about each other. Am I right?
Are you sure?
Are you positive that everything that’s happened in your life, has been by your choosing? Are you positive that Legion hasn’t been around for a lot longer than you believe?”
The question caused Tommy to pause once more.
Tommy End
”Legion is older than you think. We have been around long before we joined with EBWF. We’ve been around long before EBWF came into conception. Before EWF. Before Tony Ikeda’s Best Wrestler’s Federation. Before wrestling became sports entertainment. Legion has been here.
Legion was here before us. Legion will be here long after we’re rotting in the ground.
So the idea that you believe Legion hasn’t played a role somewhere in your life, you are mistake. It’s nieve. Ludicrous. There is no one, living or dead, that has not been touched by Legion one way or another. For you Aiden, you don’t know if you’ve encountered us before, and you may never know. Not until it kicks you right in jaw. Which it might just be coming, in your near future.”
He stopped and looked at Dante and Zahra. The two had smirks on their faces. Tommy’s smirk grew short after.
Tommy End
”But that’s up to Legion to decide, isn’t it?”
He chuckled again as the screen faded into static for a few moments. The static sudden cut to black for a second before all the screens went back to normal.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Renee Young walked through the dark hallway slowly. She kept close to remain in the light of the camera. You could see the scared, nervous look on her face as she wandered the empty halls.
In the distance, a crash was heard which made Renee jump in reaction. There was nothing around, or so it seemed until the soft laughter of a female could be heard. Renee looked around for the source of the laughter, but found nothing. She looked back at the camera in fear, but continued on down the hallway. As she neared a crossroads in the hallway, she turned back towards the camera. With her head turned and her back towards the crossroads, a shadow quickly ran by. Renee’s head turned back around abruptly, but she did not get a glimpse of what has ran by.
Reluctant to continue, she did. She reached the crossroads and looked down the other hallways. First she turned her head to the left. The camera followed her line of sight, but saw nothing. She turned to the right along with the camera. Again, there was nothing. As Renee turned forward again, she jumped backwards and fell into the camera. The video spun around as the camera fell to the ground along with Renee. Once all the commotion was settled, Renee returned to her feet. The camera followed and then looked straight ahead at what startled Renee.
Zahra Schreiber stood there with a smile on her face.
Zahra Schreiber
”Boo...”
Renee did not look amused as she looked at the raven haired beauty.
Renee Young
”What the...”
Zahra Schreiber
”Calm down, Renee. Who knew you were so easy to scare.”
Renee Young
”What are you doing?”
Zahra Schreiber
”What am I doing? Look around Renee, you are on my turf. You are in my domain. You wandered into the darkness, and yet you want to ask what I am doing? Why are you here?”
Renee took a moment as she collected her thoughts. She looked around at the darkness, but the only thing that was visible was Zahra.
Zahra Schreiber
”Earth to Renee.. What are you doing here?”
Renee Young
”I’m looking for Tommy.”
Zahra Schreiber
”I didn’t know you fancied the dark and tattooed. Good tastes.”
Renee Young
”Not like that...”
Zahra Schreiber
”That’s to bad.. Tommy could’ve shown you the world.”
Zahra smiled with pleasure in her eyes.
Renee Young
”Is he around? I would like to interview him about the King of the Ring.”
Zahra Schreiber
”Tommy’s always around, Renee.”
Zahra spun around in the darkness.
Zahra Schreiber
”Tommy is everywhere!!”
She laughed as the spinning slowed. She stopped and smiled at Renee once more.
Zahra Schreiber
”You may not see him, but he see you.”
Renee Young
”Can I talk with him?”
Zahra Schreiber
”Talk. Whatever you have to say, whatever you have to ask him, you’ll get your answers. So go on, Renee, speak.”
Renee looked hesitant at first as she looked around once more.
Renee Young
”Umm.. I just wanted to get his thoughts on how far he’s advanced in the King of the Ring Tournament.”
Zahra Schreiber
”Tommy knew that he would be here. He knew that it was only a matter of time until he would be shown the promised land. Then he would be able to deliver us all from evils of this world. The false truths. The lies. Tommy knew that one day, he would get the chance. And here it is. The King of the Ring. This is his moment. This is Tommy’s time to shine.”
She spoke with such passion and devotion.
Zahra Schreiber
”The road has been long and hard. There’s been bumps and roadblocks through up the entire way, but Tommy has met them all head on, just like he always does. He took every challenge and he made light work of them all. Every former EBWF World Champion, they bowed at his feet. Even the demented Jimmy “Fucking” Havoc knelt before Tommy and fell.”
The demise of Jimmy Havoc brought a smile to her face.
Renee Young
”Tommy has faced off against a handful of tough opponents on his path to King of the Ring. AJ Styles. Edge. And yes, Jimmy Havoc. Some would say he’s had the toughest run in the King of the Ring Tournament of each of the Final Four.”
Zahra Schreiber
”Toughness doesn’t matter, not to Tommy. He’s faced monsters. He’s challenged demons. The nightmares that could only be dreamt from the the darkest, deepest reaches of your mind. Tommy’s come up against them all, and he does what he always does. He triumphs. This King of the Ring Tournament has been a cakewalk for Tommy. He hasn’t even broken a sweat, and these so called men are supposed to be the best EBWF has to offer. They’re supposed to be the cream of the crop.”
Zahra paused as she momentarily pretended to vomit in her mouth. She played it off as she choked it back and continued.
Zahra Schreiber
”Six time EBWF World Champion in AJ Styles. Two time EBWF World Champion in Edge. 2017 King of the Ring, King of the Goths, Jimmy Havoc. All of those men were supposed to be the measuring stick in this company. They are the men who rookies strive to emulate. Or at least we all thought so, until Tommy went out there and he kicked all they heads off. Now, who’s talking about any over them? No one. AJ weaseled away. Edge is catching the early bird special at IHOB. And Jimmy Havoc is lost in his own abyss.”
Renee Young
”Those are some strong words about three future EBWF Hall of Famers.”
Zahra Schreiber
”Nothing that I just said hasn’t already been floating around in everyone’s minds.
Renee Young
”These thoughts of yours, Tommy think the same?”
Zahra Schreiber
”Tommy’s thoughts are my thoughts, Renee. We are one of the same. The truths that I speak are the same truths that Tommy speaks.””
Renee looked a little confused, but she continued.
Renee Young
”What does Tommy think about the remaining men in the King of the Ring Tournament?”
Zahra Schreiber
”What do you want him to think? Would you like it if he was scared? Nervous? Frightened even?”
Zahra paused as she looked at Renee. Taken back by the pause, Renee looked at Zahra and shook her head as though the questions weren’t rhetorical.
Zahra Schreiber
”Well, sorry to disappoint, but he’s not. Tommy knows what he’s up against. He’s studied each and every man that is left. He’s prepared for whatever happens.”
Renee Young
”So he’s prepared for his next opponent, Aiden English?”
Zahra let out a loud laugh before she shook her head in disbelief.
Zahra Schreiber
”Aiden, he’s a joke. He’s high on himself worse than Cheech and Chong on the wacky tobacky.”
She continued to shake her head.
Zahra Schreiber
”Everything has gone to his head. This win streak he’s on. Jimmy Havoc giving him his blessing. His disappointing wife getting a job here. It’s all gone straight to his head and made him believe in his own hype. That’s what’s going to do him in. That’s what already started his downfall.”
Renee Young
”How so?”
Zahra Schreiber
”When men like Aiden get it into their mind that they’re great. When they think that they’re holier than thou. They lose focus. They lose their train of thought. When men like Aiden English think that they can accomplish anything, they fail. Which is why Aiden English will fail at King of the Ring.”
She took another small pause.
Zahra Schreiber
”See Aiden, when you step into the ring against Tommy End, you need to have your head on your shoulders. That’s the only way Tommy can kick it back off. But with you… With you believing that you’re the best. Believing that there’s no one who can stop you. Believing that you are already King… That proves that you head’s not in the right spot. It proves that you’re not focus.
Sure, you have your eye on the prize, but you need to have your eyes on what is going to be standing right in front of you. When you’re standing in that ring, and you’re thinking that you’re only two matches away from becoming King. When you’re thinking on to how you’re going to manipulate SummerSlam so you walk out with the EBWF World Championship. When you’re thinking about who you’re going to have to pay off.
That’s when you need to be thinking about Tommy End. That’s when you need to open your eyes and look across that ring and see the man who has made a name for himself by dominating his opponents. Made a name for himself by kicking off people’s heads. That’s when you need to think about the shit hurricane that’s about rain down feet of shit on you.”
Renee’s eyes widened at Zahra’s profound language.
Renee Young
”Umm… Wow, that’s some visual..”
Zahra Schreiber
”The point is, Aiden, he’s already thinking past Tommy. He’s thinking past Chris Jericho and Finn Balor. Aiden English is already thinking that he’s the King. When in reality, he needs to be thinking about Tommy End.”
Renee Young
”You don’t think Aiden English has a plan?”
Zahra Schreiber
”He might. He might have a whole alphabet of plans, but that doesn’t matter, not to Tommy. See, Jimmy said it best when he tweeted, “Everyone has a plan, until they get a death kick to the mouth.” Finally, someone understands it. Finally, someone was man enough to come out and say it. It doesn’t matter if you have a plan or not, Tommy only needs one moment. One second. One chance to kick you in the face, then all your plans… They just simple, fade into static. You can try to fight it, but once you get kicked in the mouth, everyone falls.”
Zahra shot a wink in Renee’s direction. Renee looked a little uneasy as she looked at Zahra. Behind the two women however, the darkness begun to stir. Slowly the shadows morphed into a figure. Tommy End walked up quietly. Renee jumped as she let out a light scream. Tommy smiled as he looked at Renee.
Tommy End
”I’m sorry Renee, did I startle you?”
Renee gripped at her chest.
Tommy End
”Do forgive me, but my ears were burning, and that could only mean one thing. The two of you have been talking about me.”
Tommy turned his head and smiled at Zahra who stared back at him longingly.
Renee Young
”I was just asking Zahra about your thoughts on facing Aiden English at the King of the Ring pay per view.”
Tommy End
”And did you like her answers?”
Renee looked a little uneasy, but she answered.
Renee Young
”She was very vocal about not overlooking you.”
Tommy End
”I’m sure she was. My Zahra is always, very vocal.”
Tommy continued to smile as he ran his hand through Zahra’s hair. Her eyes closed as she felt his touch.
Renee Young
”But now that you’re here, maybe I can get your direct words on your opponent.”
Tommy End
”You want to know what I think about Aiden English?”
Renee Young
”Yes. Him and the rest of the Final Four.”
Tommy nodded as he released Zahra’s hair. He turned himself towards Renee.
Tommy End
”Aiden English, he’s lost. He’s lost in his own mind. Unlike the other two. Jericho and Balor.. They’re an interesting dynamic. One in which I’m looking forward to dealing with. On one side, you have Jericho. A man who has been at the top of this tournament before. He’s wore the crown on his head. On the other side, Finn is hungry. He’s looking for place in this company. He thought that he found it when he teamed with Braun Strowman and wanted to challenge myself and Mr. Dante, but what he did find, was the bottom of my boot.”
He paused suddenly. Renee didn’t know is she was supposed to speak, or if Tommy was going to continue.
Tommy End
”Now, it doesn’t matter if Finn beats Jericho or if Jericho manages to claw his way to victory. None of that matters unless I myself make it to the finals, and who is in my way of getting there? Aiden...”
Tommy’s eyes narrowed as he continued.
Tommy End
”Which is a bad place for you to be. It’s a bad place for anyone to be.”
Renee Young
”Why is that?”
Tommy End
”Why? Are you that nieve, Renee. Why? Why do you think? It’s a dangerous place because I’m a hunter. I’m hunter and the King of the Ring Tournament, it’s my hunting grounds. The crowd, that’s my prey. You Aiden… Chris and Finn… You all are in the way of my prey. The three of you are in the way of me getting what I want. I don’t like it when people get in the way of something I want.”
Renee Young
”I thought you weren’t wanting the glory of being King of the Ring?”
Tommy End
”Renee, the King of the Ring is just a title. It means nothing. If I wanted a meaningless title, I would have gone after the Breakout Championship like Aiden English. This tournament for me, it’s about prove my dominance. It’s about proving our dominance. This King of the Ring is about Legion revealing itself to the world and opening up everyone’s eyes. This King of the Ring Tournament is my moment to show everyone the truth.”
Renee Young
”You all keep talking about the truth.. What truth?”
Tommy and Zahra both chuckled and shook their heads.
Tommy End
”The truth that we are here… The truth that we are everywhere…”
Tommy looked over at Zahra.
Zahra Schreiber
”The truth that we are… Legion.”
Tommy put his arm around Zahra, and together, the two of them turned and walked back into the darkened hallway. The left Renee Young standing alone. Renee looked around one last time before the loud bang of a metal door echoed through the halls. Renee let out another scream before she took off the way she came, back to the lighted side of the hallway.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The tall trees blocked most of the moonlight from illuminating the forest floor. The woods were dark. A whispering howl blew through the lush green leaves. The branches crackled. An owl was heard in the distance. The day was over, but the night life was active and alive. The camera settled on three massive trees that stood tall and strong.
After a few moments, figures emerged from behind the three trees. The three figures were all dressed in black robes. As they broke from the tree, they walked forward. The three were none other than Legion. Tommy End centered with Zahra to his left and Dante on his right. The three walked closer to the camera before they stopped. Tommy looked left, then right. He acknowledged his stablemates before he turned his attention forward.
Tommy End
”Not all who wander these woods are lost. Few know where they are, but those who do. They come here because they want to be found.”
Tommy outstretched his arms.
Tommy End
”Here, in these woods. If you look hard enough and your heart is pure, the truth will find out. We, will find you.
But not all who come here have the pure heart, so the truth will always elude them. These are the men, and women, who wander these woods for eternity. That is why these woods have a bad omen. That is why these woods are feared. That’s why everyone believes those who enter these woods are.. Lost.”
Tommy drops his arms as he let out a sigh.
Tommy End
”We are proof that these woods are nothing to be scared of. The three of us, we walk these woods. Each and every night, we walk these wood looking for the souls that want to find the truth. And when we find those souls, we show them the truth, and then they are reborn. They are reborn in these woods.
If you still don’t believe my words, ask Mr. Dante. Ask Zahra. Both of them will tell you the same thing I am telling you now. They words may be different. They might phrase things differently, but in the end, the meaning is still the same. Their words, my words, they all lead you to the truth.”
He paused and looked again at his comrades.
Tommy End
”Now, there are still these false prophets out there who spew at the mouth, muttering their false promises. They continue claim to be the best. They claim that there is no man who can defeat them. Among these false prophets is Aiden English.
Yes, my next challenge in the King of the Ring Tournament is one of the biggest false prophets. He believes that he is bigger than everyone else. He believes he’s already King. He claims it.
“The Drama King”.
The ludicracy befounds me. I mean, to believe that you’re better, that’s one thing. To believe you are the best, that’s another. To believe that you are a King…”
Tommy shook his head.
Tommy End
”I would say that’s a new one, but the fact is, it’s not. I’ve heard it before. I’ve faced Kings before, or are you forgetting a few weeks ago.
“The King of Goths”.
The man that all of you thought was going to reclaim his crown and once again lead the EBWF for another year. Another year where he can come up short. But that was not the case, was it? No..
I cut down “The King of Goths”. I proved that the man you all believe in, would always come up a little short.”
Zahra smirked and shook her head. Tommy continued minus the disruption.
Tommy End
”I showed you all Jimmy Havoc’s failures, but still. Still you praise him. Still, men like Aiden English look to Jimmy for guidance. They listen to his words. They believe his words. They follow his words.
Men like Aiden English, they would rather Jimmy Havoc be heading into King of the Ring still in this tournament.
Isn’t that right?
Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me Aiden you would rather be fighting Jimmy Havoc instead of me. I know it’s true. Dante and Zahra know it’s true.”
Tommy stepped a few feet closer as Dante and Zahra stood still.
Tommy End
”We’ve all seen the tweets. We’ve heard the promos. We know that Aiden takes the words of Jimmy Havoc to heart. We also know that Jimmy Havoc, since losing in this tournament, now backs Aiden.
That’s right, Jimmy Havoc has put his vote forward and selected Aiden English to win the King of the Ring Tournament. Much like a lot of people, and why wouldn’t you?
Why wouldn’t you pick the save bet? Why wouldn’t you pick the man that hasn’t lost a match since coming to EBWF? Why wouldn’t you pick the man who has always found a way to beat the odds set against him and come out on top.
You’d be a fool to bet against that.”
Tommy shook his head slowly.
Tommy End
”A normal man going up against Aiden English, he wouldn’t stand a chance. But I’m not a normal man...”
Tommy paused as a sound was heard off in the distance. Legion all turned their heads in unison in the direction of the sound. Unknown to them, they were not alone in the woods. Tommy turned his body and faced the sound. Seconds past by as the three member of Legion all looked off in the distance.
Slowly their heads move together as though they’re following something. They turn to look behind them as in the breaks between the trees a shadow passed by. The large shadow passed slowly. The sound of twigs breaking under heavy feet was heard. Zahra turned her head around first and looked between Dante and Tommy. All of a sudden the loud trumpet sound of an elephant’s trunk echoed through the woods.
Zahra Schreiber
”Was that an...”
She couldn’t utter the mammel’s species before it let out another loud trumpet bellow. Slowly the large shadow faded off behind them. The three turn around and face the camera once more. They shook their heads as Tommy spoke out.
Tommy End
”That was interesting..”
He smirked and brought his hand up and rubbed his beard.
Tommy End
”The “D” of drama… Distraction.
Now that’s over with, let’s get back on track. I’m not a normal man, far from it. I’m not like the monsters and snakes you’ve defeated in this tournament. I’m not a man who doesn’t know how many kids he’s got. I’m not in this for the glory, the money, the crown. I’m not in this for any of that.
That is why I’m a dangerous man.
You believe that I’m in this thing for the material things. You think that I’m like Chris Jericho. Finn Balor. You think that I’m even like yourself. You think that I’m in this tournament to get further in this company. To make a name for myself. To get over. But I don’t need that. I don’t need, nor do I want, any of that.”
He shook his head once more.
Tommy End
”Look, the glitz and the glam. It catches the attention of a lot of people. The weak minded always fall victim to it. Don’t get me wrong Aiden, I’m not calling you weak minding. Sure, you have your flaws, but you’re cunning. You’re smart.
The ways you’ve managed to win your matches, you needed to be watched closely. We had to put a lot of eyes on you. I knew that we had to watch you like a hawk.
That’s why I know you’re smart. Smarter than most. Because you know how to get the job done. Through impossible odds, you’ve managed that. You’ve gotten the job done. Round one, you de-venom “The Viper”. Round two, you brought “The Monster” to his knees. Round three, you took on a whole inbred redneck family. Each of those times, you found a way to win.
I give you that.”
Tommy stroked at his beard as he nodded.
Tommy End
”I give it to you that you managed to weasel and crawl your way this far in this tournament. The Final Four, you can’t get much closer than this…
Seriously, I mean you can’t.”
He shrugged his shoulders and smirked.
Tommy End
”So there’s this going pun on my name. I’m sure you’ve heard it, everyone seems to like to do it. Jimmy has even done it recently. I don’t normally do it, but it kinda seems fitting here.
Aiden, you’re not going to make it any further in this tournament, not because you don’t have the talent. In any given moment, on any given day, against any given opponent, you could go all the way. However, it’s this moment. It’s going to be this years King of the Ring. You’re going up against me. That is not good, for you.
You path brought you here. It could have taken you didn’t ways, but it brought you here, against me. Why is that?
Why did fate decide to pit you against me, Aiden? Why do you think that you didn’t get to face Chris Jericho? Why couldn’t you face Finn Balor? Why did you have to go against me? Tommy End.”
Tommy looked back at Dante and Zahra once again.
Tommy End
”You may not want to believe it. Honestly, if I was you, I wouldn’t want to believe it. I would want to remain in my head where I could make the rules. Where I could make all the decision and everything I wanted would come true.
But that’s not reality. This is reality. At King of the Ring, Aiden, you will be the first to be woken up and show the reality that is in front of you.
That reality is me. That reality is your end.
Then end of your hopes and dreams. The end of your fantasies. The end of everything that you believe. That crown you want. That EBWF World Championship match that you hope for. The year long reign as King of the Ring. Everything, it comes to an end.
And your end, it will be my beginning. It will be our beginning.”
Tommy stepped backwards and lined up with the other two.
Tommy End
”At King of the Ring, the night only starts with you, Aiden. It doesn’t end with you. Your night comes to an end, but ours. It doesn’t.
After we’re done with you Aiden, we will go on to the finals. We will continue the same dominance that we’ve shown all through this tournament. We will continue to show the same dominance that we will show you. After we’re done with you Aiden, we will move onto whomever wins between Jericho and Balor.
Not that it matters, both men will fall just like everyone else. I could face off against Jericho, but let’s face it, that wouldn’t be too exciting, now would it. Sure, he’s been the King before, so it might be nice to beat yet another former King. It would definitely show my dominance over EBWF’s royalty. To beat Jericho, it would be a giant step for us to show EBWF that we’re here and we’re not going anywhere. Not now. Not at King of the Ring. Not ever. Beating Jericho will only solidify that fact.
Now where beating Chris would be something of an accomplishment. Beating Finn Balor, that would be the opposite. Beating Balor, that would prove anything.”
Tommy motioned between himself and Dante.
Tommy End
”We’ve been there, we’ve done that.
You might not remember, but a few months back, Mr. Dante and I, we took on Finn Balor and his monster. They tried to stop Legion, but they failed. Just like everyone who has tried to stop Legion.
So Finn, don’t get me wrong. You’re a spectacular wrestler. Your list of accomplishments speak for themselves, and we both know that the list will just keep on growing. Whether it’s here in EBWF or elsewhere. I know that you will go on to do great things in this business, but you’ve attempted to stop us before. You tried to make a name for yourself at our expense. But you failed. Which is why if you manage to get past Chris Jericho. If you are the one that I will square off against in the finals. Then I will fight you.
Just like last time, I will stand across the ring from you and I will beat you.
Chris Jericho, we’ve never met inside the ring, but if I stand across that ring from you… I will beat you.”
He paused.
Tommy End
”We know that I’m going to facing Aiden English, that’s a given. But we don’t know if it’s going to be Chris Jericho or Finn Balor. It literally could be either of them. But that doesn’t matter.
Aiden English. Chris Jericho. Finn Balor.
The three of you have made it this far. You’ve outlasted all the other and you made it to the King of the Ring. You’ve shown your drive and determination. For your own reasons, you’ve all fought to get to where we all are. Three of us will lose, one will win. Three of us will fail, one will succeed. Three of us will reach their end…
Wait...”
Tommy held up his hand.
Tommy End
”Let me rephrase that.
The three of you will reach your end. The end that will be brought down upon you by my hand, well more likely my foot, but that’s just a formality. The fact is.. No the truth is, at King of the Ring. The three of you will lose.”
He looked at his group once more.
Tommy End
”At King of the Ring, the three of you will end. Legion however, we will rise.
We will open up the floodgates that have been holding us back. Sure, we’ve come, we’ve taken over. Now, after King of the Ring, everyone will be made aware of our existence. Everyone will know that we’re here. No more hiding in the shadows, working behind the scenes. No more standing back and pulling the strings.
At King of the Ring, we will take our spot in the spotlight. We show the EBWF the truth. At King of the Ring, Legion will reign supreme. There will be no stopping us, not all of us.”
Slowly, from behind the trees, legions of figures emerged. Hundreds. Thousands. With each passing second, more and more figures arrived. All of the walked forward and stood behind Legion. The figures were all dressed in matching black robes of Legion, except their hoods were all up.
Dante and Zahra joined the group as they raised their hoods. The army of robed figures stood behind Tommy.
A smile grew on his face as he turned around and faced his legion. His army. Tommy outstretched his arms. The endless drove of robed figures cheered out for Tommy. He spun around with his arms still outstretched.
Tommy End
”We are here...”
Tommy bent his arms and reached behind his head. He grabbed his hood.
Tommy End
”We are everywhere...”
He brought the hood over his head and then drifted back into the sea of black robes.
”WE ARE LEGION!!”
The roar of thousands all screamed in unison. There was no telling where Dante, Zahra, or Tommy ended up. Everyone looked the same. Everyone was the same. Everyone was…
LEGION
