Second Chance

The scene opened backstage in the women's locker room. Nikki Cross was warming up for her match, jumping up and down on the spot and practising her punches. She looked like she was hitting a punching bag, but in fact, she was punching the air. The only punching bag was the one in Nikki's mind, and she was going to town on it. EBWF trainer and road agent Sara Amato entered the locker room, and approached Nikki. She looked nervous.
Sara Amato: Nikki?
Nikki turned around and feinted a punch. Sara flinched, which made Nikki laugh.
Nikki Cross: Don't worry Sara Del Rey bae, I wouldn't hit you. You're one of the ones I like.
Nikki laughed some more, then turned back to her imaginary punching bag. Sara walked around to face Nikki, but Nikki didn't make eye contact and continued punching the air.
Sara Amato: Nikki, I don't think you realise how lucky you are to even be here after what you did to Christy Hemme. You were supposed to be suspended for 30 days. There was even talk of you being fired. It's only because of our new General Manager for the Women's Division that you've been given a second chance. Please, don't mess it up by going rogue again tonight.
Nikki stopped punching the air and glared at Sara.
Nikki Cross: I was promised a fight, Sara. Alexa didn't show up, so I grabbed the first person I laid eyes upon. Christy shouldn't have come so close, she knows I don't like people getting in my personal space. So do you.
Sara took the warning, and stepped back. Nikki grinned.
Sara Amato: Well the good news is, Charlotte is here tonight. I just saw her arrive in the parking lot. So as long as nothing happens to her before your match, you'll definitely be competing.
Nikki's smile faded.
Nikki Cross: As long as nothing happens to her? You better pray that nothing happens to her, or someone is going to pay. I belong in that ring, so if you don't want any trouble Rey Rey, I suggest you make sure I get my match. The only person who will be hurting Charlotte tonight is ME!
Nikki went back to her warm up.
Nikki Cross: You can go now. Bye!
Nikki waved at Sara Amato, who quickly left the locker room as the scene faded.
Sara Amato: Nikki?
