OOC: Good luck Brian!
Finally…
For the first time since King of the Ring, Braun Strowman was competing in a match. At King of the Ring, Strowman had lost to Tommaso Ciampa in a street fight, after Ciampa had choked him out with a chain. Strowman suffered a fractured larynx as a result, and doctors had told him not to wrestle for 4-6 weeks. Determined to get revenge on Ciampa, Braun had shown up to the July 9th Warfare and gone after Ciampa, but Ciampa had fled the scene… so Braun took his frustrations out on poor Mike Kanellis instead.
Doctors and road agents had insisted that Braun stay away from future shows until he was medically cleared to compete. And now he had his clearance, Braun was up against “The Glorious” Bobby Roode. With cameras filming his warmup backstage, Braun turned to the nearest camera and made his feelings about Roode perfectly clear.
Braun Strowman: Bobby Roode, the only worthwhile thing about you is your catchy entrance theme… and even that is getting old! You’re not the person I want to fight tonight, Bobby. I want Tomasso Ciampa. But Ciampa is afraid of me, whereas you can’t run from me and you can’t hide. So I’m going to unleash my anger on you.
Despite the stern look on his face, Strowman began to laugh.
Braun Strowman: You poor bastard, you must have pissed someone off. Why else would they put you in a match with me - a monster who has been raring to go for six weeks? There will eh no glory for you tonight, Bobby. Only pain.
Strowman then shoved the cameraman away, bringing the scene to an abrupt end.
