Austin Aries once again came up short in a big match. At SummerSlam, Ted DiBiase picked up the victory. He is still close to being longest reigning Path to Glory Champion. Aries gave a good fight, but Ted was just a little better. ADouble, now faces the former Breakout Champion, Evan Bourne. Bourne, who also lost his match at SummerSlam, and we will be looking to redeem himself, it should be a good match, but it should be a little physical due to the fact that both man will be trying their hardest to avenage their losses.
Flashback to Sunday. Dibiase has won the match. Austin Aries is laid out in the middle of the ring after tapping out to the Million Dollar Dream. He is favoring his arm, and is really pissed at himself for once again not winning the big match. He feels like he let he and his entire family down, he finally slides out of the ring and heads backstage, he doesn't listen to any of the boos, he just wants to get back to his locker room and regroup. But not to long before Matt Striker approaches him for an interview.
|Matt Striker| Austin, you must be sooo frustrated at the fact that you were so close to winning your first title in EBWF, but Ted Dibiase some how pulled out the victory.
|Austin Aries|Yeah, obviously. I mean think about it, I had alot of opportunities to beat him, but I blew it. I will get another chance, I know that for sure.
Aries is still breathing heavily from the very competitive title match.
|Matt Striker| Well, next Monday on Warfare you face off with Evan "Air" Bourne, a man who also lost his match tonight? Do you think a win against Bourne, will put you back on track?
|Austin Aries| I guess. Especially him being a former champion. So to answer your question Matt, yeah it will get me back on track, and when I get back on track, I will get another title opportunity and it won't end the same as it did tonight!
Aries flashed a quick smirk, truly believing that he will become a champion here in EBWF.
|Matt Striker| You attacked, Ted DiBiase's dad tonight, and we all know he is some sort of legend around here, so what were your intentions on that attack? I mean no offense but it obviously didn't work.
Aries lightly smacks Striker after his witty remark.
|Austin Aries| Your an idiot Matt Striker, you know that? But anyways I had no intentions, the man had entered the ring and disrespected me, so look what happened to that washed up piece of junk, he will be celebrating his son's victory on life support.
|Matt Striker| Actually he won't, the attack wasn't that severe.
Double A acts as he is about to punch Striker, making him flinch, he laughs and pats Striker on the back to calm him down.
|Austin Aries: Haha! He is lucky the attack wasn't severe, because it very easily could of been. I decided to let the old man be. I mean, I kind of felt sorry for him, besides the fact that his son ate his Lucky Charms, and actually beat me, the man really has nothing good going for him in his life.
|Matt Striker| Ok, Aries, well that's all I had to ask, goodluck on Warfare, against Evan Bourne! I know he is some tough competition.
|Austin Aries| Whatever.
The Greatest Man to Ever Live walks off still favoring his arm a little bit, but the only thing on Aries' mind is to get home and regroup for his match against the high flying, former Breakout Champion, Evan Bourne. Because a win could like Striker said, get A Double back on track, and he this time he wants to stay on track, he wants to prove to all EBWF management that he can be a World Champion, that he can compete in the big leagues, and that he shouldn't have to settle for the lower cards. And Monday is going to be the start of that little campaign.
It's Monday, time for Warfare and all Aries can think about is his loss against the Path to Glory Champion, Ted Dibiase, but now that it is in the past, he has to focus on the high-flying Evan Bourne, he doesn't want to lose to matches in a row, which will seriously damage his chances at winning titles here. So the only thing Austin is trying to do is get an impressive victory, and get another impressive victory next week, and so on, and so on. Before Warfare starts, The self pro-claimed Greatest Man to Ever Live is backstage in a office talking to Director of Global Expansion, Shane McMahon.
|Austin Aries| Look let me cut to the chase. I think I deserve another shot at Ted DiBiase's title, and I don't really think I have to do all the hardwork once again to get that priviledge.
|Shane McMahon| Well, you have to understand, that you aren't the only one who wants a shot at the belt. There a several other worthy contenders, and I mean, you had your shot man, and you blew it.
Aries rolls his eyes as if he were expecting Shane to say that, but he won't give up there he will beg if it has to come to that.
|Austin Aries| Yeah, I know. I messed up, but I just need one more shot, and I needed you to please ask the Board of the Directors if that was possible. I mean, cause whoever is running this show ain't doing so great, so I think it is necessary to take it to the big dogs.
|Shane McMahon| Well, I don't think it is. I think you should prove it in the ring, maybe you might get another shot if you wouldn't be such an asshole. Maybe you should try being...eh.... nice. I mean it wouldn't hurt to try.
Austin Aries thinks about the possibly of playing to the crowd, shaking the fan's hands, looking at them wearing his merchandise, chanting his name during matches or promos, which isn't that bad of a thing.
|Austin Aries| You know what man, you might actually be right. I could be a face, the fans would love to have me as a good guy, I can see it now, soon I will be the face of this company! Next thing you know, I will be making movies, making appearances in commercial. I will take this company to the next level!
|Shane McMahon| Woah, woah, woah, come down buddy. I don't think that will happen, but it's ok to dream! But yeah, you go out there and win the fans hearts! That's sure to put you in the right direction at getting another shot at DiBiase's title!
|Austin Aries| Alright, I will. Thanks Shane, you really are a genius!
|Shane McMahon| Thanks, I don't think I get that enough! Haha, well see ya Austin!
Aries and McMahon shake hands, then Austin leaves the room actually excited about this whole "face" thing. He heads into his locker room to get ready for his match against Bourne. After about ten minutes he is in his entire, which is a silver-sparkly cape, with pink tights, and the normal black boots and black knee pads. He walks out the door and realizes that his match is up next, he walks towards the gorilla position, "Greatest Man to Ever Live" by Weezer blasts out the speakers as Austin Aries slowly walks to the top of the ramp. Of course, he gets some heat from the crowd here in Houston, Texas, but hopefully tonight is the night he changes all that. He walks down the ramp with a microphone in head, he climbs into the ring, and stands in the middle of it, eyeing the crowd. He finally begins his promo once his music cuts.
|Austin Aries| What's up Houston!!*no reaction* How 'bout them Texans! Yeah!*still no reaction* Come on, I'm just saying, I have changed. I'm not that jerk anymore, it's kind of unfair that you people pay good money to come to see us in action, and I just disrespect you guys. It's unfair, that I call you people nasty names, you people are the reason I get up in the morning and do what I do! I mean think about it, what's the point of doing something if nobody is supporting you? I asked myself that, and realized, that there is no point, and if your doing something there should always be a point in doing it, or you might as well just give up. And I will never give up! That is a goddamn promise! Now I already now that I can just earn you guys respect, so I would like to prove it to you guys, and I would like to prove it starting tonight and every week after that. Everytime I win a match, I dedicate the win to you guys!
|Austin Aries| Well, speaking of tonight, I face Evan Bourne shortly. The man that lost to Michael McGullisucky, excuse me, McGullicutty. He is no longer champion, which takes his confidence down a couple notches. And if you haven't noticed, I do not have the Path to Glory Championship around my waist. But it will just be a matter of time before it ends up there. Well back to Bourne, he isn't ready for this match, he still has to get used to life without that championship, so he won't be fully-focused on this match. But trust me, I am, and I will not lose, and Houston, we have a problem, Austin MOTHER F^^^KIN ARIES! Has decided to upgrade to BEAST MODE and kick some ass tonight, and Bourne, you won't be flying tonight, because I have decided I will be delaying your flight! And I may be changing, but I still am the best damn MAN ON THIS EARTH!
Aries drops the microphone, and heads into the corner to warm up for his first match after his disappointing loss to Ted Dibiase Jr. Double A is now awaiting the arrival of Evan Bourne, so he can wrestle his first match under his new "transformation". The fans haven't really bought it, but they should eventually, since their ages range around 4-65. It's just a matter of time.
