Bouncing Back.

Evan Bourne
This past week has been tough as I lost the Breakout championship at Summerslam and ever since that match I’ve been getting tweets, e-mails and texts asking me about what happened in the match and how I came up short. I’m not going to stand here and make excuses, Michael McGillicutty won the match-up fair and square and he deserves to have that Breakout championship around his waist, but I’m not going to let him just forget about me and move on to the next challenger because I will be persistent on winning back the Breakout title that I held heading into Summerslam and will show management that I’m worthy for a rematch for the Breakout title that I lost at Summerslam.
The fans continue to cheer as Evan nods his head agreeing with his own statement, running the palm of his hand over his t-shirt before looking back into the camera continuing his statement.

I know that Michael has a wrestling background and his father is a legend of the wrestling industry, so he must be brimming with confidence after his successful outing at Summerslam, however I hope he doesn’t get too comfortable with that title around his waist, because it isn’t going to be in his possession for very long. He may have been bred to compete in the ring with his wrestling background but I am “Bourne” to win and I will win that title back.
Evan looks over at his right shoulder where he used to drape his Breakout title when he was champion, but of course he didn’t have the title anymore which just added to the desire and motivation for him to give it his all in his match-up tonight.

My road back to the Breakout championship rematch starts tonight when I go one on one with Austin Aries, who has quite the high praise for himself, in the past alluding himself as the Greatest Man that Ever Lived. It’s evident that he is just as arrogant and full of confidence as Michael is, thinking that he’s the greatest man to step on this planet but Austin and I do have one thing in common, and it’s that we’re both coming off of losses at Summerslam. So I know he’s going to be just as hungry as I am to get back into the title picture. Just like a lot of the people I’ve faced, Austin isn’t going to do everything in his power to come out with the victory, and you can bet that that includes bending the rules to try and get the upper hand. I’m all too familiar with going up against people like Austin as unfortunately, a majority of superstars in this company are like that which confuses me. They’re so narrow minded that they just think about themselves and seemingly forget about putting on a great show for you fans, I know I’ve said this countless times before but it can never be said enough. Without you fans, none of the Superstars and Divas would be in the position that they are today, including myself.
The fans begin to applaud listening to what Evan had said, paying respect and showing them his gratitude. Did he sound like a broken record? Always giving credit to the fans every time he would pull a promo. Was he too soft? Should he turn his back on the fans and just be all about himself? Truth be told, it did linger in his mind following his loss at Summerslam, but of course he wouldn’t say that out loud as everything he had just said would have sounded like garbage. However his mind was still set on putting on a great show for the fans and making sure that they would go home satisfied with the price they paid for their ticket to watch the event. He proceeds to do a few arm stretches, loosening up his muscles before continuing to speak.

I’m going to do everyone a favour tonight and take Austin down a peg or two because it appears as if he’s in his own little dream world thinking that he’s better and above everyone else. Or actually, I can maybe even take him to a higher place, maybe “Air Bourne” and then send him crashing back down into reality that he is not as good as he makes himself out to be. Maybe then he’ll stop going around flapping his gums and telling people how “great” he supposedly is, even though he hasn’t backed it up with championship gold since signing on with EBWF. But then again, I think he’s too far in his little dream world that there’s no saving him. ~laughs~ Either way, I know the match at the pay per view didn’t go as I wanted it to, but I’ll make up for it tonight with a hard earned win while putting myself one step closer to a championship rematch in the process.
With that being said Evan sticks up his index and middle finger with the “victory sign” as the scene fades to black with the fans cheering in the background.
