The End Of The Storm

The Miz had been through it all in the EBWF. He had had success in the ring, he'd made a lot of friends, he'd met the love of his life and future wife. It was truly a place that had changed his life. A dream job, a dream life, in pretty much every avenue. In the ring, Miz had faced many adversaries and had encountered multiple rivals. From Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Brian Kendrick, Cody Rhodes, and of course AJ Styles. Miz' latest familiar foe perhaps could be the most daunting of all. It was a man who's unpredictability made him inexplicably dangerous and intimidating. A man whom at one point seemed to have a mutual respect for The Miz and all he'd accomplished, that quickly turned into someone who was hell bent on destroying his career. A man who had inflicted more violence on The Miz in the past couple of months than any other superstar that he'd encountered over his storied EBWF stay. Jimmy Havoc was a real threat, he was the reigning EBWF Champion after he defeated The Miz for that very title, and since then he's grown even stronger. Allying himself with one of the most destructive stables in the history of the company in Legion, Jimmy Havoc was a man that looked almost unstoppable. If Miz was going to become a 4 time EBWF Champion, he was going to have to do it against some pretty significant odds and obstacles.
The scene opened up at a large shopping mall in St. Louis, Missouri home of EBWF Christmas Eve of Destruction. The camera quickly panned around the facility before settling in on an EBWF Fan event in the main plaza of the establishment. There were hundreds of people lined up, and up on stage was Santa Claus (because of course) but also EBWF Superstars The Miz and Mickie James. The EBWF's newest engaged couple were signing auto graphs and taking pictures for fans. A man in an EBWF polo came up to Miz and whispered something into his ear. Miz smiled and nodded before rising in his seat and grabbing a microphone.
The Miz: St. Louis, Missouri, how we feelin!!!!??
The crowd popped as The Miz continued.
The Miz: Now as you all know, on Christmas Eve night.. something is going to take place.. that's very very exciting. Something is going to take place that is going to bring cheer and glee to all of the children.. and all of the Mizfits the world over. Now I know what you're thinking.. and yes SANTA will be coming to town.. and that's of course.. well awesome.. but the other thing that's going to take place.. is that your hero.. your savior.. your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler.. yours.. well truly.. is going to become the EBWF World Champion for the.. count it.. FOURTH time.. and in doing that.. FINALLY going to put a stop to the destruction and dysfunction that has been brought on by Legion.
The crowd cheered throughout, but booed a bit at the mention of Legion.
The Miz: The EBWF has encountered a real storm, and somehow Jimmy freaking Havoc has found himself in the middle of it all. Orchestrating it, directing it. Jimmy I know what you're thinking, I know that you want to play the strength in numbers game.. I know that with Legion around you it makes you feel safe and secure. However, I want you to know, from the bottom of my enormous heart.. that the last thing you should feel right now is safe or secure. Legion has tried to end my career, they've tried to intimidate me and everyone else around them in this business. They think they own this place.. but the only thing that they are about to own is a sad little demented gothic elf, who's going to be whining and bitching about how he "USED" to be the champion, about how he used to mean something, about how he ONCE defeated The Miz.. but will NEVER do so again. Legion are going to OWN the "we used to matter" award very soon. If there's one thing I know.. and there's a lot more than one.. it's that the EBWF is in dire need of a knight in shining armor. The EBWF is in dire need of someone to step in and say hey Legion.. like go electrocute each other on your own time.. because the champions and the wins.. those are for the people that actually deserve championships and wins. If you guys want to put jumper cables on each others nippies and give each other a jolt.. do it behind closed doors.. because the weirdness the savagery.. the plain insanity that you guys bring to this business.. ends on Christmas Eve.. right along side Jimmy's reign as Champion.
The crowd cheered some more and a "Miz is awesome" chant broke out.
The Miz: Sorry Santa, I don't mean to hold you up man.. but the question you keep asking all of my Mizfits here is what do they want for Christmas. What do they want to see under the tree, what do they hope they unwrap on Christmas morning, and I think.. no I KNOW that it's not a present to unwrap for them.. it's not a new toy.. or a puppy.. that they are hoping for most this Christmas. I know for sure.. that my Mizfits want.. more than anything else.. to see this beautiful bastard in front of you right now.. get back to the top of the mountain in this company. They want me to put a big fat lump of coal in the stockings of Legion and see to it that they add another horrible Christmas to what I'm sure is an already long list of bad holiday seasons for these maniacs. Fear not Mizfits.. that is exactly what you are going to see. Since Jimmy Havoc pinned me 1.. 2.. 3 to begin the champion.. I have been visualizing this opportunity.. obsessing over every detail that it was going to take to reclaim MY title. Right when I thought I had Jimmy pegged as a stand up guy.. a guy who.. sure was a little off kilter.. but overall a great competitor and someone I thought I could respect.. Jimmy then decides to Kevin Durant it.. and join up with the group that made his life a living hell.. Jimmy decides to pull the ultimate Sally move and become a member of this group of psychos. Jimmy proved that me giving him any shred of respect or the benefit of the doubt.. was just about the stupidest and most undeserved thing I could ever do for him. Jimmy in Legion proves one thing.. and that's the second he beat me.. he realized that there's no shot in hell that he could do it again without a little boost from his buddies. He knew that he'd pulled off a win that took just about everything he had in the tank out of him, and that if he wanted to have any hope of maintaining that title.. he was going to have to do it in the dirtiest way we could think of. Well bad news Jimmy Jam.. I don't care if you bring Legion.. or anyone else on Christmas Eve.. I'll face you all at once.. I am not walking out of St. Louis without the EBWF Title.. HASH. TAG. FACTS!

Santa gave The Miz a thumbs up and the scene faded to black. The scene reopened in the Enterprise Center backstage. The Miz and Mickie James were picked up on the camera entering the hallway. Miz was wearing a Danger: I'm Awesome t shirt (available at EBWFshop.com) and Mickie was wearing a bedazzled pink top and black pants. Miz also wore sunglasses and a long black trench coat that was open so that you could see his t shirt. Renee Young caught up to Miz and Mickie and had a microphone in her hand.
Renee Young: Miz! Miz! Can I ask you a few questions do you have a second for us?
The Miz: Of course Renee! I'm on cloud 9 right now.. we're just a couple hours away from order being restored to this company. We're just a mere hours away from The Miz.. becoming THE MAN.. once again. So fire away!
Renee Young: Well first off congratulations you two!
Mickie smiled and waved her ring around.
Mickie James: Thanks girl.
The Miz: Okay girl talk later.. back to me becoming champion..
Renee Young: Right.. sorry.. we'll chat later Mick..
Mickie nodded and smiled.
Renee Young: So Miz- as you mentioned tonight you will go one on one with Jimmy Havoc with one of the most brutal stipulations in the history of this company. The match can not be won until either you or Jimmy sheds blood. Obviously Jimmy is known as a Hardcore superstar.. do you think this type of stipulation favors someone like him, who may have more expertise with things of this nature.
The Miz: Renee, I like you, and that's why I don't want you to take this personal.. but that's a really dumb implication you just made there. So Jimmy Havoc has wrestled on barbed wire.. he's set himself on fire.. he's been cut up, he's been hit by cars.. he's put his hand on hot stoves.. that doesn't make him tough.. it just makes him a moron who gets tortured a lot. Jimmy Havoc may think he's deranged and nuts..he may think he's willing to put himself through enough pain and torture, that there's no way someone like me can hang in a match like this.. and that's what you're implying right now isn't it Renee?

I'm glad that this is the type of match that I get to be at Jimmy in, because it's the type of match that HE THINKS that I CAN NOT beat him in.. and trust me.. it's going to be all the more satisfying to see the look on his little Gremlin face when I'm being announced the NEW EBWF Champion.
