The video opened with Renee Young and Elias Samson standing in front of a set of blue curtains. It was obvious the set had been put together in a matter of moments in preparation for an unplanned and unscheduled interview for the website. Elias was in blue jeans and a black shirt with a black and grey houndstooth scarf around his neck. He was in an unusually chipper mood.

Renee Young: Ladies and gentlemen my guest at this time is Elias Samson. Elias, last Monday on Warfare it was revealed that the person behind attacking you was Chavo Guerrero Jr. Then. after Warfare went off the air we learned that Chavo has signed on to compete in the year’s Royal Rumble. What are you thoughts on having Chavo in this match?

Elias’s mood took a sudden turn. The smile faded and a scowl replaced it.

Elias Samson: That snake is in the Rumble? Renee, I didn’t know that! Good! He’s going to pay for hitting me over and over through the last few weeks. I’ve had it up to here with the Guerreros and Aiden English! English knew about this you know? She said he knew about this! That means he’s just as much behind it as his wife or her stupid cousin!

Renee Young: Mmmhmmm. Yeah, he actually posted a video to facebook earlier today as well. He’s in the gym doing some last minutes workouts to stay in top shape!

Elias Samson: Facebook?

Elias pulled his phone out and started frantically clicking on the screen and swiping in various directions. Renee stared at him in a mixture of horror and amusement. She put her hand up to start talking but just then the video started to play. Elias swiped on the progress bar to jump the video into the middle.

Chavo Guerrero (voice) : I’ve got a point to prove to Elias Samson! You screw with one Guerrero and the entire Guerrero Family comes down on your head!

Elias clicked a button on the side of his phone and shoved it back into his pocket in a huff. He turned to face the curtain behind him and started muttering to himself.

Renee Young: Elias… Are you okay?

Elias turned back around and nodded but his expression had changed to that of pure rage.

Elias Samson: Can you believe this guy? He’s sticking his nose in my business and talking about proving something to me? Proving something to me! He’s the one that’s been running around and assaulting me from the shadows! Those two have been costing me matches on Warfare!

Renee Young: Actually both of those matches count as victories!

Elias shot a death stare at Renee.

Elias Samson: NO! Everyone knows that I didn’t win those matches, Raquel Diaz just convinced those wrestlers to not show up! He’s joined this year’s Royal Rumble just to mess with me! Just to try and keep me from winning! As for reasons to compete, that sounds like a fairly crappy one!

Renee Young: While I don’t disagree what about the other competitors in the Rumble? Who do you see as the biggest challenge to you gaining an EBWF World Title shot at Wrestlemania?

Elias took a deep breath and recollected himself. The anger was still visible but lessened.

Elias Samson: That’s a hard one to pin down to one person! Sure you’ve got guys like the massive Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley. You’ve got lightning quick superstars like Rey Mysterio and Andrade Almas. Then you’ve got current EBWF Champions in Michael Dante and Aiden English. English that backstabbing moron! I can’t believe the Gateway Champion gets to compete in the Royal Rumble! Doesn’t his title already ensure him a shot at the World Championship? Why does he need to try and take someone else’s shot? Why would Wes approve this? Is Wes trying to help Aiden climb to the top?

As Elias worked himself up he got louder and louder.

Renee Young: I’m sure there’s not a conspiracy going on. Everyone who wanted into the Rumble got in. Aiden put his name on the list. Speaking of the list, it contains EBWF icons like the Rock, CM Punk and Chris Jericho! These stars are ring veterans, how do you deal with that?

Elias Samson: Current champions, past champions, future champions. Everyone in this match is something or has been something. There’s no reason to put any of them up on a pedestal. It’s all the same, they’re all the same. Like Chavo Guerrero! He’s been a champion across multiple companies at multiple times throughout his career. He’s not better, stronger or faster than the other wrestlers in this match! He’s not more likely to win than anyone else. He’s been a wrestler for years but that doesn’t give him an edge.

Clearly understanding Elias but seizing on an opportunity to change the subject, Renee cut in.

Renee Young: You brought up Edge. Edge and Randy Orton are both competing in the Rumble and are a team. Do you think this gives them an unfair advantage?

Elias Samson: Edge and Orton? Yeah, having a partner in the ring is a huge help. But you have to go into the match knowing that only one of you can win it. Only one person wins the Royal Rumble match and that can make enemies out of best friends. Edge and Orton could be at each other’s throats in the match. Just like Aiden and Chavo might end up having to face one another at some point. Not even Raquel can twist events enough to make both of them win the match! She can’t change the rules and let a team win the Royal Rumble! She can’t right? She can’t do that! That’s not fair!

Renee let out a sigh and shook her head.

Renee Young: No, she can’t change the rules of the Royal Rumble. One person wins in the end and goes on to face the EBWF World Champion at Wrestlemania. That person could be you and you could be walking into Wrestlemania to face current Champion Miz or Tommy End if he wins this weekend. Are you prepared to face either of these men at Wrestlemania?

Elias paced back and forth. With each step his guitar swung as he held it by the top of the neck. A couple of times it came close to catching on this set piece or that.

Elias Samson: Oh yes, I am more than prepared to face either of them at Mania. I’ll be at my best because I will have beaten both Aiden and Chavo to get there! The match for the EBWF World Title would just be a cherry on top of an already sweet just deserts! Imagine Aiden English having to watch me snatch the Title out from under him while he’s holding onto that Gateway Title. While he’s too afraid to cash in his shot! That would be karmic justice on a grand scale! Imagine Raquel sitting and watching her husband and cousin come up short and me going home with the glory and becoming the EBWF World Champion! I can picture the look on her stupid face right now! She’s going to know she backed the wrong side of this one!

Renee Young: Wait! Is that what all of this boils down to? Are you made because Raquel took her husband’s side over yours? Do you have a thing for Raquel Diaz?

Elias Samson: Sorry, that’s all the time we have! Thanks for tuning in!

Elias swung his guitar around by the neck in a hasty retreat from the makeshift set. The body of his guitar caught a curtain and pulled it down. Renee young stood in silence, holding her hands out and with her shoulders raised. She was clearly lost for words at the sudden change in demeanor from Elias. The shot cutaway to the EBWF logo before fading out.
