Royal Rumble Results 01/27/2019

Pyro went off in the Alamodome and the crowd was on their feet.
Mauro Ranallo: Good evening from San Antonio, Texas, where over 64,000 fans are here in attendance for the Royal Rumble.
Corey Graves: The road to Wrestlemania begins tonight when Zahra Schreiber will have to overcome 14 other women to hold on to her Women's Championship. We'll see The Miz take on Tommy End to defend the World Title.
Mauro Ranallo: And thirty men will enter, but only one will leave with the main event at Wrestlemania firmly in hand! But first, Hardcore Holly will defend his Breakout Championship!
"Making a Difference" hit the PA and Andrade Cien Almas made his entrance to a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Corey Graves: I see with the Women's Rumble only moments away, Almas is out here alone tonight without either of his compatriots in Royalty.
Mauro Ranallo: Let's see how he does when it's two on one in this triple threat contest.
Once Almas was in the ring, "One True Villain" hit and Marty Scurll came out to run down the ramp and get into the ring to stare Almas down and wait the arrival of the champ. "How Do You Like Me Now" hit and Hardcore Holly came to the ring with his title belt, but dumped it at ringside as he charged into the ring. The bell rang.
Corey Graves: Here we go!
Scurll and Holly stopped short as Almas backed away and Scurll joined Holly in going after Almas. Scurll pushed Holly out of the corner to go after Almas and then Holly did the same. Almas pushed Holly into Scurll to send Scurll to the floor. Almas with an Irish whip but Holly floated over and then he hit a head scissors and drop kick. Holly teased a dive to the floor when Scurll got on the apron, but he didn't have a chance to follow through because Almas sent Holly to the floor.
Mauro Ranallo: The champ can't retain from out there!
Almas got a side head lock on Scurll but Scurll countered with a back elbow. Holly slid back in under the bottom rope. Holly and Scurll took over the match and they locked up. Scurll got a take down and he worked on the wrist and hand. Holly followed up with a reversal but Scurll countered too. Holly got an arm drag and another head scissors but Scurll escaped. Almas was back in, and Scurll got a drop toe hold to Almas and then he set up for a surfboard while Holly watched. Holly got a drop kick to the temple and Scurll drove the knees into the mat.
Corey Graves: I would not want to be Almas right now.
Scurll used a forearm to knock Holly down, and then put on the hammer lock as he works on Holly’s other hand. He made it a double hammer lock and stomped on the hands and back. Scurll hit a kick to the back of the head. Holly avoided a short arm clothesline and he took Scurll to the mat. Holly with a hammer lock and Cloverleaf but Almas kicked Holly and Scurll. Almas took time to pose in the ring while Holly and Scurll were down on the mat. Holly was sent to the floor and Almas punched Scurll.
Mauro Ranallo: Marty and Andrade at each other's throats again!
Almas hit a neck breaker for a near fall, frustrated, he followed up with a series of elbow drops. Holly got some strikes from the apron but Almas stopped Holly’s attempt for a springboard move and Holly went to the floor. Scurll with kicks to Almas but Almas hit a bicycle kick for a near fall. Once back on his feet, Scurll punched and slapped at Almas after Almas blocked a kick. Scurll hit an enzuigiri to Almas. Holly surprised Scurll with a cross body into the corner and an enzuigiri. He hit a springboard European uppercut to Almas for a near fall.
Corey Graves: And Almas kicks out!
Holly got Almas on his shoulders but Scurll chopped Holly in the chest, and Almas came down to the mat. Scurll hit a forearm on Almas. Holly with a kick to Scurll and Scurll charged out of the corner and hit an enzuigiri on Holly. Scurll kicked Almas and then he applied a double single leg crab on Almas and Holly. Scurll focused on Almas but Holly managed an octopus hold on Scurll. Almas hit a Hammerlock DDT to Holly for a near fall.
Mauro Ranallo: I thought we had a new champion!
All three men exchanged forearms. Scurll laid punches to Holly. Almas hit an enzuigiri to Scurll followed by a flying knee to Holly. He pinned Holly, for a two count. Holly blocked a suplex and hit a forearm to Almas. Holly went to the turnbuckles and Almas teased kicking Holly’s legs but Scurll followed through with a kick to Almas. Scurll hit a super kick to Holly and stood over him and Almas. While Scurll was deciding which of them to pin, Almas got back up and the two exchanged punches. Scurll added some head butts. Almas fell to the matt, and Scurll stomped on Almas's hands and hit a roundhouse kick. Almas went to the apron and Scurll followed. Almas hit a DDT onto the apron. Almas saw Scurll against the ring steps and he set up for a super kick but Scurll moved and Almas kicked the steps. Scurll put Almas’s hand on the ring steps and Scurll stomped on the hand. Holly charged, putting his knee into Scurll's lower back. Almas hit a quick super kick to Holly, but as he'd primed for that, Scurll scurried up the turnbuckle with a moonsault onto Almas. Scurll hit the suplex on Holly but Almas broke up the cover.
Corey Graves: Marty Scurll had one stolen from Andrade Almas!
Scurll went to the turnbuckle, but Almas stopped him. Almas climbed the turnbuckle as well. They fought on the turnbuckle and Holly stopped them. All three men were on the turnbuckle and Holly hit a double Frankensteiner. Scurll was unmoving, but Almas tried to get back to his feet. Holly helped him up and hit the Alabama Slam. Holly took the cover.

Corey Graves: Could Hardcore Holly be the greatest Breakout Champion of all time?
The referee gave Holly his championship and raised his arm in victory as a promo package for the EBWF Women's Royal Rumble began to play.
Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble match! Two superstars will start in the ring, and every two minutes, another superstar will enter. Superstars are eliminated by going over the top rope, and both feet must touch the floor to be eliminated. The winner will of this match will be award the EBWF Women's Championship!
The crowd cheered with excitement.
Christy Hemme: Introducing first, the superstar who drew number one... from El Paso, Texas... Raquel Diaz!
Raquel received a warm reaction from the crowd as she made her way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: History is being made tonight – this is the first time ever that the Women's Championship has been defended in a Royal Rumble match. Can Raquel Diaz make her own history, and outlast 14 other superstars to win the title in her EBWF debut?
Corey Graves: I still can't believe Angelina Love is abusing her power like this, Mauro! It's not fair on Zahra Schreiber!
Mauro Ranallo: Given the chaos Legion have caused over the past few months, Corey, I don't think Zahra will be getting much sympathy from the women competing in this match, or indeed the EBWF universe!
After Zahra had entered the ring, "Bossy" by Kelis hit and the crowd went wild for Trish Stratus as she stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: Until recently, Trish Stratus was the longest reigning EBWF Women's Champion of all time. Zahra broke that record, but can Trish take back the title and become an eight-time champ?
When Trish was in the ring, the referee called for the bell and the two women locked up. Trish pushed Raquel into the corner, then tried to lift her over the top rope, but Raquel fought back and shoved Trish away, then took her down with a clothesline. The momentum swung back and forth between the two women, with neither able to eliminate the other before Charlotte Flair came in at number three. Upon entering the ring, Charlotte took Trish down with a big boot, then hit Raquel with a series of chops to the chest. Raquel fell back against the ropes, and Charlotte was able to lift her over the top rope... but Raquel held onto the ropes, and rolled back into the ring! As Charlotte stomped on Raquel, Trish Stratus grabbed Charlotte from behind, whipping her against the ropes before taking her down with a Lou Thesz press. Trish punched Charlotte against the mat several times, then pulled her to her feet and dragged her towards the ropes. She tried to lift Charlotte over the top rope, and Raquel joined Trish in trying to eliminate Charlotte, but Charlotte fought off both women, then took them down with a double clothesline.
Corey Graves: Impressive resilience from Charlotte Flair!
The 10 second countdown appeared on the tron, and the fans began counting along with it... as the clock struck zero, "Glasgow Cross" by CFO$ hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Nikki Cross made her way to the ring. Nikki ran down the ramp and as she slid into the ring, she hit Charlotte with a series of punches. Charlotte fought back with some punches of her own, then set Nikki up for a DDT, but Nikki blocked it, countering with a northern lights suplex. As both women got to their feet, they were attacked by Trish Stratus and Raquel Diaz! Raquel hit Charlotte with a snapmare, then hit a leg drop, while Trish threw Nikki towards the ropes, sending Nikki over the top rope. Nikki landed on the ring apron, but Trish hit her with the Chick Kick!
Mauro Ranallo: Trish Stratus has eliminated Nikki Cross!
Nikki looked furious, and she shoved a cameraman at ringside over before making her way to the back. "Illest" by Far East Movement hit and Liv Morgan came in at number 5. Upon entering the ring, Liv fought with Trish Stratus, but another two minutes past without another elimination before "Aphrodite" by Kylie Minogue hit. Torrie Wilson received a huge reaction from the crowd as she stepped out onto the stage.
Corey Graves: She's back!
Mauro Ranallo: Torrie Wilson is a ten-time Women's Champion, a two-time Royal Rumble winner... a bona fide EBWF legend. Can she be the last woman standing here tonight?
Upon entering the ring, Torrie charged at Raquel Diaz, taking her down with a spear. As she got to her feet, Trish Stratus went to hit her with a clothesline, but Torrie ducked out of the way, then hit Trish with a DDT. Charlotte then grabbed Torrie, but Torrie hit her with a snapmare, then she turned her attention to Liv Morgan and hit her with the Nose Job! As Torrie stood triumphant in the center of the ring, the crowd chanted "You've still got it!" Torrie smiled, then pulled Liv Morgan to her feet and went to toss her over the top rope. Liv held onto the ropes, and tried to pull Torrie over the top rope with her! Trish, Raquel and Charlotte all worked together to try and eliminate Liv and Torrie simulataneously, but both women were able to roll back into the ring. "We Riot" by CFO$ hit, and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Ruby Riott made her way to the ring.
Corey Graves: Another EBWF debutant, Mauro... it's Ruby Riott!
Upon entering the ring, Ruby attacked Raquel Diaz, taking her down to the mat and applying a Fujiwara armbar! Meanwhile, Torrie fought Liv Morgan, while Trish Stratus battled Charlotte Flair. Another two minutes passed without an elimination, and Alexa Bliss came in at number eight.
Mauro Ranallo: The ring is starting to fill up!
As Alexa entered the ring, she immediately went after Liv Morgan, hitting her with a chokehold STO then following it up with the Insult to Injury! She pulled Liv to her feet and dragged her towards the ropes, trying to lift her over the top rope, but again Liv Morgan was able to hold on. Meanwhile, across the ring, Torrie Wilson and Trish Stratus were working together to try and eliminate Charlotte Flair, and Raquel Diaz was still battling Ruby Riott. "Angel on my Shoulder" by Dale Oliver hit, and the crowd cheered as Velvet Sky made her way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Here comes Velvet Sky, and it has now been more than ten minutes since Nikki Cross was eliminated...
Upon entering the ring, Velvet Sky locked up with Alexa Bliss, hitting her with a suplex. As Velvet got to her feet, Torrie Wilson grabbed her, setting her up for a back drop, but Velvet blocked it and countered with a bulldog. Velvet then grabbed Ruby Riott and went for the #1 Stunna... but Ruby blocked it, and hit Velvet with the Riott Kick! Velvet fell to the mat, and Ruby pulled her to her feet, but she wasn't able to lift her over the top rope. Meanwhile, across the ring, Liv Morgan tried to hit Charlotte Flair with the Jersey Codebreaker, but Charlotte countered, applying the Figure Eight!
Mauro Ranallo: Liv Morgan looks in a lot of pain... but Charlotte can't win this match by submission!
Corey Graves: Maybe not, Mauro, but she can use the Figure Eight to wear hear opponents down!
As Charlotte broke the hold and tried to lift Liv Morgan over the top rope, "512" by Lamb of God hit, and the crowd booed as Zahra Schreiber stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: And here comes the Women's Champion, Zahra Schreiber, entering at number ten! Zahra is looking to extend the longest title reign in the history of the Women's Championship, but there are eight women in the ring that are standing in the way, and another five women still to enter the fray!
The eight women in the ring stared at Zahra, who stared right back at them. Zahra ran down the ramp and slid into the ring, then began swinging punches at anyone and everyone! Zahra grabbed Velvet Sky and hit her with a jawbreaker, then as Velvet staggered backwards, Zahra clotheslined her over the top rope!
Corey Graves: Velvet Sky has been eliminated!
As Zahra waved goodbye to Velvet Sky, Charlotte grabbed her from behind and tried to throw her over the top rope. Zahra fought back, hitting Charlotte with an elbow smash, then hit her with a DDT. Zahra followed it up with the Curb Stomp, then dragged Charlotte to her feet and threw her over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Another elimination for Zahra Schreiber! She's eliminated two women in less than two minutes!
Zahra then went after Trish Stratus, throwing her into the corner then charging at her, going for a corner clothesline. Trish got her feet up and blocked it, then as Zahra staggered backwards, Trish grabbed her and hit the Stratusfaction! As Zahra hit the mat, she rolled out of the ring under the bottom rope.
Corey Graves: Clever strategy there from Zahra... giving herself a chance to recover, while also protecting herself from elimination!
Trish turned her attention to Alexa Bliss, and as the two women brawled, the countdown clock hit zero once more. "True Love" hit, and Maria Kanellis made her way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Maria went after Torrie Wilson, taking her down with a spear and then hitting her with a series of punches. Maria then went for the Beautiful Bulldog, but Torrie blocked it, shoving Maria against the ropes then hitting her with a dropkick. Maria went over the top rope, landing on the outside.
Mauro Ranallo: Maria Kanellis has been eliminated in less than a minute!
Mickie James came in next at number 12, followed by Becky Lynch at number 13. Mickie and Becky worked together to try and eliminate Raquel Diaz. Trish Stratus was fighting Torrie Wilson in the corner, while Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott had Alexa Bliss on the ropes.
Corey Graves: Trish and Raquel have both been in this match for more than 20 minutes now!
Mickie and Becky were able to lift Raquel over the top rope, but Raquel wrapped her legs around the ropes, desperately clinging on. Raquel was able to stand on the ring apron, and as Becky tried to knock her off, Raquel hit her with a knee to the midsection. Becky stumbled backwards, and Mickie ran at Raquel, but Raquel pulled down on the top rope, causing Mickie to topple to the outside.
Mauro Ranallo: Mickie James has been eliminated!
As Raquel climbed back into the ring, "Rush of Power" hit and Summer Rae made her way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Summer hit Becky Lynch with a spinning heel kick, causing Becky to staggered backwards onto the ropes. Liv Morgan then hit Becky with a single leg dropkick, and Becky went over the top rope... but she landed on the ring apron. Just as Becky was about to re-enter the ring, Zahra Schreiber pulled her off the apron, eliminating her! Zahra then hit Becky with a DDT on the outside. The crowd booed, which made Zahra smirk. Zahra then re-entered the ring as the 10 second countdown began. The clock hit zero, and the crowd booed as Zelina Vega made her way to the ring.
Corey Graves: The 15th and final entrant... Zelina Vega!
As Zelina entered the ring, she went after Raquel Diaz. Meanwhile, Zahra was fighting her former stable mates, Liv and Alexa, Trish was locked up with Ruby Riott, and Torrie had Summer Rae in the corner.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish and Raquel Diaz have been in this match for almost 30 minutes now... tremendous effort by the two women who started this match!
Corey Graves: That could catch up with them though, Mauro... and we've already seen that Zahra Schreiber will do whatever it takes to win...
Raquel lifted Zelina over her shoulder, and tried to carry her towards the ropes, but Zelina countered with a headscissors takedown. Both women got to their feet, and Zelina shoved Raquel against the ropes, then jumped onto her shoulders, going for a hurricanrana... but Raquel caught Zelina, and was able to powerbomb her over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Impressive counter there by Raquel Diaz! Zelina Vega has been eliminated!
Across the ring, Ruby Riott dragged Trish Stratus towards the corner, and slammed her head off the turnbuckle. Trish looked dazed, and Ruby went for the Riott Kick, but Trish ducked out of the way, then hit the Stratusfaction! She threw Ruby over the top rope, eliminating her. As Trish went after Raquel Diaz, the trio formerly known as the Midnight Dollz were still battling one another. Alexa and Liv were working together, their differences temporarily forgotten as they tried to eliminate the Women's Champion. Zahra fought back, though, hitting Alexa with a jawbreaker. Liv then grabbed Zahra, setting her up for the 201, but Zahra was able to counter it, shoving Liv Morgan into the turnbuckles before tossing her over the top rope.
Corey Graves: Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan have both been eliminated! We're down to the final six!
Zahra then tried to eliminate Alexa Bliss, but Alexa hit the champ with a DDT. Zahra quickly rolled to the edge of the ring, grabbing the bottom rope to try and protect herself from elimination. Alexa turned her attention to Torrie Wilson, who Summer Rae had on the ropes. Alexa and Summer lifted Torrie up, and Torrie was about to go over the top rope... but she kicked but Alexa and Summer away! Alexa then ran back towards Torrie, going for a clothesline, but Torrie reacted quickly and ducked out of the way, hitting Alexa with a shoulder back toss and sending her over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Alexa looks Blissed off... she's been eliminated!
Torrie turned around and Summer Rae grabbed her, setting her up for the Summer Crush. Torrie blocked it and hit Summer with the Nose Job, then threw her over the top rope.
Corey Graves: And now Summer's over! We're down to the final four!
Torrie, Trish, Raquel and Zahra stood in the four corners of the ring, staring at one another. Zahra pointed at the Women's Title, then pointed to her waist, yelling to her three opponents "it's mine!" She then challenged the three of them to come at her, and they duly obliged. But Zahra seemed to be ready for this, and she quickly dropped to the mat, rolling out of the ring. She grabbed the title from ringside and re-entered the ring, then charged at Raquel Diaz and hit her in the head with it! As Raquel fell to the mat, the crowd booed loudly.
Mauro Ranallo: I can't believe that Zahra is using the title as a weapon!
Corey Graves: Well Mauro, there are no disqualifications in a Royal Rumble match! Like I said before, Zahra is willing to do whatever it takes to win!
Zahra then turned around and hit Torrie with the title belt, before turning her attention to Trish Stratus. Zahra ran at Trish and swung the title towards her... but Trish ducked out of the way, and hit Zahra with the Chick Kick! Zahra dropped the title and fell to the mat, rolling out of the ring as she did so. Once again, the crowd booed. Trish was about to go after Zahra when she turned her attention to Torrie Wilson. Torrie looked dazed, and she was using the ropes to pull herself up. Sensing an opportunity, Trish ran at Torrie and hit a clothesline, sending Torrie over the top rope! Torrie looked disappointed to have been eliminated, and Trish shrugged apologetically before turning her attention to Raquel Diaz.
Mauro Ranallo: I can't believe Raquel Diaz and Trish Stratus are still in this match, Corey. They've been in the ring for over 35 minutes now, and have outlasted everyone except the defending Women's Champion, Zahra Schreiber.
Corey Graves: That could work to Zahra's advantage though, Mauro – she's fresher. Not to mention, she has been very impressive in this match... she's already eliminated four superstars! That's more than either Trish or Raquel have managed!
Mauro Ranallo: Neither Trish not Raquel have been hiding outside of the ring or using a foreign object though, Corey...
Zahra was still outside the ring, and she appeared to be playing possum. Once again, Trish looked like she was about to go out of the ring after Zahra, but before she could do so, Raquel Diaz grabbed her and hit Trish with a snapmare, then kicked her in the back of the head. Raquel then set Trish up for a suplex... but before she could hit it, Zahra re-entered the ring and attacked both women, knocking them down to the mat. Zahra grabbed Raquel and threw her over the top rope... but Raquel was able to grab onto the ropes! Zahra didn't notice, as she'd already turned her attention to Trish Stratus. Trish hit Zahra with a knee to the midsection, then set her up for the Stratusfaction, but Zahra blocked it and countered with a snapmare driver, then hit the Curb Stomp! Trish was out cold, and Zahra lifted her up, throwing her over the top rope and eliminating her.
Mauro Ranallo: Zahra thinks it's over! She doesn't realise Raquel Diaz is still in the match!
Zahra yelled at the referee to call for the bell, but the referee shook his head and pointed at Raquel, who had rolled back into the ring and was getting to her feet. Zahra let out a cry of frustration, then charged at Raquel, going for a running forearm smash. Raquel was able to duck out of the way, then she hit Zahra with the Gory Bomb! For several seconds, both women were down, then they began to stir. Raquel set Zahra up for a suplex, but Zahra blocked it, countering with a suplex of her own. As both women got to their feet, Zahra took Raquel down with a drop toe hold, then went for the Curb Stomp... but Raquel moved out of the way at the last second! As she got to her feet, Raquel grabbed Zahra and went for a suplex once more... and this time, she hit it! Raquel kept hold of Zahra and pulled her to her feet, hitting a second suplex!
Mauro Ranallo: Raquel is going for the Three Amigos! She's channelling her father, the legendary Eddie Guerrero!
Raquel pulled Zahra to her feet and went for a third suplex, this time trying to suplex her over the top rope... but Zahra landed on the ring apron, and tried to pull Raquel over the top rope! Just when it seemed like Zahra was going to overpower Raquel, Raquel took a step back and hit Zahra with a dropkick! Zahra was knocked off the apron, and as both her feet hit the ground, the referee called for the bell.
Christy Hemme: Your winner of the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble... and the NEW EBWF Women's Champion... Raquel Diaz!
Corey Graves: I can't believe it! Zahra's reign is over!
Mauro Ranallo: What a performance from Raquel tonight! A memorable debut for the second generation superstar... I'm sure Eddie is looking down on her with pride!
Zahra looked furious as she made her way to the back. In the ring, Raquel looked emotional as the referee handed her the Women's Title. Raquel celebrated as the show cut to a promo video for the men's Royal Rumble match.
Mauro Ranallo: Well moments ago, we saw Raquel Diaz enter the Women's Royal Rumble and outlast 14 other women to win the match and become the new Women's Champion. Up next, we'll see if her husband, Aiden English, can do the same in the men's Rumble... English enters at number one, so 29 other superstars stand between him and the main event of Wrestlemania!
"Moments" by Sevendust hit and the crowd cheered as Aiden English made his way to the ring. When English was in the ring, "Booyaka 619" hit and Rey Mysterio received a mixed reaction from the crowd. After Mysterio had entered the ring, the referee called for the bell. English hit Mysterio with a series of punches, then whipped him against the ropes. As Mysterio ran back towards him, English lifted him up for a powerslam, but Mysterio countered with a headscissors takedown. English landed on the middle rope, and Mysterio ran against the ropes... then hit English with the 619! As English got to his feet, Mysterio moved onto the ring apron and went for the West Coast Pop... but English caught him, and countered with a powerbomb! English stomped on Mysterio several times, then lifted him up and onto his shoulders, carrying him towards the ropes. He tried to throw Mysterio over the top rope, but Mysterio wriggled free and hit English with an enzuigiri. English fell against the ropes, and Mysterio ran against the opposing set of ropes, then charged towards English, going for a clothesline... but English blocked it, hitting Mysterio with a European uppercut. Mysterio staggered backwards, and English grabbed him, hitting the Director's Cut! English then picked Mysterio up and threw him over the top ropes, eliminating him.
Corey Graves: Aiden English has eliminated Rey Mysterio! Now he has some time to rest before the next entrant comes out...
As Mysterio made his way to the back, the 10 second countdown appeared on the tron. As the clock struck 0, "I Want It All" by Queen hit and the crowd cheered as Dalton Castle stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: The Party Peacock is back!
Castle was accompanied by The Boys, Brandon and Brent, who helped him into the ring. Upon entering the ring, Castle ran at English, going for a clothesline, but English ducked out of the way and hit him with a neckbreaker. Castle got to his feet and English hit him with a series of right hands, knocking him into the corner of the ring. English tried to lift Castle over the top rope, but Castle fought back and kicked him away, then climbed the turnbuckle and hit English with a diving crossbody! Both men got to their feet, and Castle went for the Bangarang, but English blocked it and lifted Castle over his shoulders, hitting a fireman's carry spinebuster. English and Castle continued to do battle until two more minutes had passed, then "More Than One Man" hit and the crowd cheered as Heath Slater made his way to the ring. Slater ran to the ring and hit Castle with a high knee, then whipped English against the ropes, before hitting a spinning spinebuster. As English got to his feet, Slater tried to throw him over the top rope, but English was able to hold onto the ropes. Dalton Castle tried to help Slater eliminate English, but English fought both men off and re-entered the ring. Another two minutes passed, then "MANTRA" by Bring Me The Horizon hit.
Corey Graves: And here comes the former World Champion, Jimmy Havoc!
Mauro Ranallo: Havoc has recently recovered from injury, and you have to wonder if he's 100% here Corey.
Corey Graves: Well Mauro, we'll soon find out!
Upon entering the ring, Havoc immediately went after Aiden English. The two men exchanged punches, and after gaining the upper hand, Havoc lifted English over his shoulders, hitting the Go Home Driver. Havoc pulled English to his feet, and went for the Acid Rainmaker... but English ducked out of the way, then hit Havoc with a German suplex! Meanwhile, across the ring, Heath Slater had Dalton Castle in the corner, but he was struggling to lift him over the top rope. Two more minutes passed, and "Broken Dreams" by Shaman's Harvest hit. Drew McIntyre received a mixed reaction from the crowd as he made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Another return... the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre, is entering the Rumble at number 6!
Upon entering the ring, McIntyre grabbed Heath Slater, hitting the Future Shock DDT! McIntyre then charged towards Dalton Castle, hitting him with the Claymore Kick! McIntyre threw Castle over the top rope, causing the crowd to boo. As McIntyre turned around, Aiden English hit him with a series of punches, but McIntyre fought back with some right hands of his own, then hit English with a headbutt. English staggered backwards, looking dazed, and McIntyre lifted him over his shoulder, hitting the Celtic Cross. As McIntyre got to his feet, he locked eyes with Jimmy Havoc, who stared right back at him. McIntyre charged at Havoc, going for a big boot, but Havoc ducked out of the way, then grabbed McIntyre and hit him with the Acid Rainmaker! For a moment, Jimmy Havoc was the only man standing... but Drew McIntyre slowly got to his feet. Havoc stared at him, and McIntyre yelled "is that all you've got?" Havoc swore at McIntyre, then grabbed him and went for a second Acid Rainmaker... but this time, McIntyre ducked out of the way, then hit him with the Scot Drop! McIntyre stomped on Havoc several times, then pulled him to his feet and whipped him into the corner. As Havoc staggered out of the corner, McIntyre charged towards him, hitting the Claymore Kick! McIntyre pulled Havoc to his feet, and threw him over the top rope, but as Havoc went over the ropes he grabbed McIntyre, pulling the Scottish Psychopath over the top rope with him!
Corey Graves: Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Havoc just eliminated each other simultaneously!
McIntyre looked furious, and he grabbed Jimmy Havoc, throwing him into the ring steps. McIntyre pummelled Havoc with a series of punches, then hit the Future Shock DDT onto the steps! There was a loud THUD as Havoc's head hit the steel, and as Havoc slumped to the ground, blood began to trickle down his forehead. McIntyre pulled Havoc to his feet, and threw him into the ring post! Havoc fell to the ground, and one of the referees at ringside tried to order McIntyre to go to the back, but McIntyre shoved him aside and grabbed a steel chair. He hit Havoc with the chair, then wrapped it around his knee and stomped on the chair! Havoc cried out in pain, clutching his knee.
Mauro Ranallo: That's the knee that Jimmy Havoc injured at Christmas Eve of Destruction... McIntyre might have re-injured it here!
McIntyre smiled, then turned to walk away. As he did so, Havoc somehow got to his feet. He yelled after McIntyre, "is that all you've got?" McIntyre turned around and glared at Havoc, then laughed as he saw Havoc limping. Havoc tried to grab the steel chair, but as he did so McIntyre hit him with a Claymore Kick, knocking him down once again. McIntyre picked up the chair, hitting Havoc across the knee with it, then dragged Havoc towards the Spanish announce table. McIntyre cleared the table, then pulled Havoc to his feet, powerbombing him through the table! As McIntyre walked to the back, officials at ringside checked on Jimmy Havoc.
Corey Graves: Drew McIntyre just decimated Jimmy Havoc!
The camera cut back to the ring, where Aiden English and Heath Slater had stopped fighting to watch the carnage unfold at ringside. Remembering what was at stake, the two men locked up, and English hit Slater with a suplex. "I Came To Collect" by CFO$ hit, and the crowd booed as Lio Rush made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: And here comes one of the EBWF's newest superstars, Lio Rush, who enters this match at number 7.
When Rush entered the ring, he hit Slater with a shoot kick, then turned his attention to Aiden English. English lifted Rush up for a scoop slam, but Rush countered with a tilt-a-whirl DDT! Both men got to their feet, and Rush whipped English against the ropes, then ran at him and hit a dropkick. English went over the top rope, but he was able to grab the ropes and landed on the ring apron. Rush tried to kick English to the outside, but English was able to roll back into the ring. Heath Slater then grabbed Lio Rush, and hit him with an inverted DDT. As Slater tried to eliminate Rush, the countdown clock hit zero and Matt Sydal headed to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Sydal went after Aiden English. Sydal hit English with a series of kicks, forcing him into the corner. Sydal then sat English on the turnbuckle, and tried to push him over the top rope, but English fought back and hit Sydal with a diving double axe handle. English then lifted Sydal onto his shoulders, and threw him over the top rope, eliminating him.
Corey Graves: Another elimination for Aiden English!
As English turned his attention back to Slater and Rush, "Break the Walls Down" hit and the crowd cheered as Chris Jericho headed to the ring. When Jericho entered the ring, he went after Lio Rush, hitting him with a series of punches. Jericho then ran against the ropes and hit Rush with a bulldog, then signalled for the Lionsault! Before Jericho could hit it, Heath Slater attacked him, but Jericho hit Slater with a double underhook backbreaker. Jericho then ran against the ropes, hitting both Slater and Rush with the Lionsault!
Mauro Ranallo: Double Lionsault!
As Jericho got to his feet, Aiden English grabbed him from behind, setting him up for the Director's Cut. Jericho blocked it and countered with a hip toss, then grabbed English by the legs, setting him up for the Walls of Jericho! Before he could lock it in, English kicked him away and got to his feet. English continued to fight Jericho, while Slater fought Rush on the opposite side of the ring. Two more minutes passed, and Grado came in at number 10. As Grado entered the ring, Jericho had just taken English down with a tiger suplex, and as Jericho got to his feet, Grado hit him with a series of punches. Grado whipped Jericho against the ropes, and as Jericho hit the ropes, Grado ran towards him, going for the Wee Boot. Jericho ducked out the way, and Grado landed on the ropes. Jericho then hit a springboard dropkick, sending Grado to the outside.
Corey Graves: Chris Jericho has eliminated Grado!
Mauro Ranallo: He might have sent him all the way back to the tap end of Stevenson, Corey!
Aiden English went after Jericho again, while Slater and Rush were still fighting each other, but all four superstars were still in the ring when "Cult of Personality" hit and CM Punk came out at number 11. Punk yelled "It's clobbering time!" then made his way to the ring. As Punk entered the ring, Rush and Slater formed an alliance and tried to double team the straight edge superstar. But Punk was able to fight both men off, hitting Lio Rush with a roundhouse kick before hitting Slater with the Pepsi Twist. Punk turned his attention back to Rush, and set him up for the GTS... but Rush wriggled free and hit a double underhook facebuster, then followed it up with a standing moonsault! Punk looked dazed, and Rush and Slater tried to eliminate him, but Punk was able to hold onto the ropes. The countdown clock hit zero once again, and in at number 12 was...
Mauro Ranallo: I don't believe it, Corey! It's Alex Shelley!
Shelley was warmly received by the crowd as he made his way to the ring. As Shelley entered the ring, Lio Rush ran towards him, but Shelley swung his leg into the air, hitting Rush with a superkick! Shelley then went after Heath Slater, hitting It Came From Japan. Shelley targeted Rush next, lifting him over his shoulder for the Automatic Midnight... but Punk countered with a DDT! There were no further eliminations as Andrade Cien Almas and Marty Scurll came in at 13 and 14 respectively.
Corey Graves: The ring is starting to look pretty full, Mauro... there are eight superstars in there now!
Mauro Ranallo: The first entrant into the Rumble, Aiden English has been in this match for more than 25 minutes now... kudos to Heath Slater too, who has been in the ring for 20 minutes and counting!
Corey Graves: Yeah but in that time, he hasn't eliminated a single person, Mauro. He's hanging on... literally!
As Graves said that, Marty Scurll had managed to clothesline Slater over the top rope, but Slater was grabbing onto the ropes, his feet swinging in the air. Scurll grabbed Slater's hands, trying to force him to let go of the ropes, but Slater was able to roll back into the ring. Meanwhile, Andrade Cien Almas had targeted Alex Shelley, and after hitting Shelley with a discus back elbow, Andrade set Shelley up for the Hammerlock DDT... but Shelley blocked it and got behind Andrade, locking in the Border City Stretch! As Shelley broke the hold and tried to lift Andrade over the top rope, "Domination" hit and the crowd booed as Bobby Lashley made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Lashley went after Shelley, hitting him with a series of punches... but Shelley fought back with some right hands of his own, then hit Lashley with the Golden Gate Swing. As Shelley got to his feet, Lio Rush attacked him from behind. Rush hit Shelley in the back of the head, then set him up for a double underhook facebuster... but Shelley countered with a back body drop, then hit the Shellshock! Rush's attack had given Lashley time to recover, and he charged towards Shelley, hitting a Spear! Lashley then lifted Shelley up over his shoulders and threw him to the outside, eliminating him.
Mauro Ranallo: Lio Rush came to Lashley's aid there... you have to wonder whether Rush's motivation in this match is to win it for himself, or to help Lashley win it...
Corey Graves: Well Mauro, before the match, Rush might have agreed to help Lashley, but now he's in the ring he mind think differently. There's a huge Wrestlemania sign above our heads, that's reminding Rush what's at stake here!
As Shelley made his way to the back, "Electrifying" hit and the crowd cheered as The Rock made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Rock went straight after Bobby Lashley, hitting him with a series of punches. Lashley fought back with some punches of his own, then went for a clothesline, but Rock ducked out of the way, then turned around and hit Lashley with a snap DDT. As The Rock got to his feet, Lio Rush ran at him, but Rock was ready for him and he hit Rush with a spinebuster. The Rock was about to signal for the People's Elbow, but then he looked around the ring at the other superstars currently in the match – Aiden English, Heath Slater, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Andrade Cien Almas and Marty Scurll. All six men moved out of the way and nodded to The Rock, encouraging him.
Corey Graves: Mauro, I think everyone just gave The Rock their blessing to hit the People's Elbow on Lio Rush!
Mauro Ranallo: Well Corey, Rush has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way... clearly his only friend in this match is Bobby Lashley!
Grinning, The Rock removed his elbow pad and threw it into the crowd, then swung his arms back and forth. He ran against one set of ropes, ran against the other and was about to hit The People's Elbow... but Lashley grabbed The Rock at the last second, hitting him with a powerslam! The crowd booed, but their boos quickly turned to cheers as a brawl broke out between all of the superstars in the ring. In the melee, CM Punk ended up fighting The Rock, and he hit Rock with the GTS, then threw him out of the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: CM Punk just eliminated The Rock!
EC3 came in at number 17, and upon entering the ring, EC3 targeted Heath Slater, hitting him with a series of punches. EC3 whipped Slater into the corner and ran at him, hitting a double high knee, then set him up for the One Percenter... but Slater blocked it, and hit EC3 with the Smash Hit! Slater then picked him up, and threw EC3 over the top rope!
Corey Graves: I don't believe it! Heath Slater has eliminated EC3! He's been in the match for almost half an hour, and that's the first time he's eliminated someone!
Mauro Ranallo: It doesn't matter how many superstars you eliminate, Corey, what matters is if you're the last man standing! Slater has shown incredible resilience in this match, and speaking of resilience, Aiden English has now been in the ring for 31 minutes!
The buzzer sounded to signal entrant number 18, and Braun Strowman stepped out onto the stage. Strowman charged towards the ring, and as he entered the ring he grabbed the nearest superstar, which happened to be Andrade Cien Almas. Strowman lifted Almas over his shoulder and ran towards the ropes, powerslamming Almas to the outside!
Mauro Ranallo: Andrade Cien Almas has been eliminated! Braun Strowman making an immediate impact!
As Strowman turned around, he was ambushed by Lashley, Rush, Scurll and Slater. The four men worked together to try and eliminate Strowman, but the Monster Among Men fought back and was able to defend himself. The countdown clock hit zero, and out came Brock Lesnar at number 19.
Corey Graves: Well let's see how Strowman fares against someone his own size!
Upon entering the ring, Lesnar immediately went after Strowman. The two men exchanged punches, but Lesnar was able to overpower Strowman, and he hit the Monster Among Men with an F5!
Mauro Ranallo: That shook the ring!
Lesnar then looked around the ring at everyone else, and grabbed Heath Slater, hitting him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Jericho ran at Lesnar, going for a clothesline, but Lesnar ducked out of the way and got behind Jericho, hitting a German suplex. Rush and Lashley tried to double team Lesnar, but Lesnar was too strong for them, and he hit both men with a double suplex.
Mauro Ranallo: Brock Lesnar is taking everyone to Suplex City!
Lesnar proceeded to suplex Aiden English and Marty Scurll, then turned to CM Punk. Punk hit Lesnar with a series of punches, then went for a roundhouse kick, but Lesnar blocked it and hit Punk with a belly-to-belly suplex, then followed it up with the F5! Lesnar pulled Punk to his feet and threw him over the top rope, eliminating him. English and Jericho then attacked Lesnar, working together to bundle him over the top rope!
Corey Graves: Great teamwork there by English and Jericho!
Mauro Ranallo: Well that's one big guy eliminated... they’ve still got Lashley and Strowman to contend with though!
Lashley and Rush were battling Strowman, and Slater was fighting Scurll, so English and Jericho's alliance was quickly forgotten, and the two men began to exchange punches. Jericho was able to knock English down, and he locked him in the Walls of Jericho! The clock on the tron struck zero again, and Rocket Skates by Deftones blasted over the PA system.
Mauro Ranallo: Is this who I think it is...?
Corey Graves: Surely not...?
Brian Kendrick walked out to a huge reaction from the crowd. In the ring, Jericho released English from the Walls of Jericho, and stared at his former rival.
Mauro Ranallo: It's been over three years since Brian Kendrick last set foot in an EBWF ring!
Kendrick ran to the ring and immediately went after Jericho, hitting him with a series of punches. Jericho fought back with some punches of his own, and set Kendrick up for a powerbomb, but Kendrick countered with a hurricanrana. As both men got to their feet, Kendrick grabbed Jericho and ran towards the corner, hitting the Sliced Bread #2! Kendrick tried to lift Jericho over the top rope, and English helped him, but as Jericho went over the ropes he grabbed onto the bottom rope, wrapping his arms and legs around it. Kendrick then tried to eliminate Aiden English, and as the two men battled one another, Jericho rolled back into the ring. There were no further eliminations before Tommaso Ciampa came in at number 21.
Corey Graves: This is the first time we've seen Ciampa since he fought Braun Strowman in "Hell in a Hospital" at Christmas Eve of Destruction... and after what Strowman did to him, it's no surprise that Ciampa is immediately going after Strowman!
Upon entering the ring, Ciampa hit Strowman with a knee to the midsection, then set him up for a piledriver. Strowman countered with a back body drop, then lifted Ciampa over his shoulder, setting him up for the running powerslam. Ciampa was able to wriggle free, and he hit Strowman with a low blow. Lashley and Rush then worked with Ciampa, and the three men triple teamed Strowman, getting him against the ropes. They tried to lift him over the top rope, but Strowman was too powerful for them. Meanwhile, across the ring, Aiden English was battling Kendrick, and Slater and Scurll were working together to try and eliminate Jericho. Another two minutes passed, and "Counting Bodies Like Sheep" hit. The crowd cheered as Randy Orton stepped out onto the stage. Orton walked down the ramp, but as he reached the bottom of the ramp he walked around the ring, taking a seat at ringside.
Mauro Ranallo: Is Orton not entering the match?
Corey Graves: Not yet, it seems. He's waiting for the opportune moment...
Back in the ring, Chris Jericho hit Marty Scurll with the Codebreaker, then eliminated him. A few moments later, Braun Strowman grabbed Lio Rush by the throat and lifted him up, chokeslamming him over the top rope! There were no further eliminations before Hardcore Holly came in at number 23. As he entered the ring, Holly immediately went after Braun Strowman, working with Lashley and Ciampa to eliminate him! Lashley and Holly then turned on Ciampa, lifting him up and throwing him over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Braun Strowman and Tommaso Ciampa have both been eliminated!
There were now six men in the ring – Lashley, Hardcore Holly, Jericho, Kendrick, Aiden English and Heath Slater. English was battling Slater in one corner, and in another corner of the ring, Jericho and Kendrick were trying to lift each other over the top rope. Lashley and Holly went after Kendrick and Jericho; Holly hit Kendrick with a series of punches, while Lashley hit Jericho with an exploder suplex. Holly hit Kendrick with the Alabama Slam, then eliminated him! The crowd were disappointed to see Kendrick eliminated, and began to boo.
Corey Graves: Hardcore Holly has been in this match less than two minutes, and he already has three eliminations to his name!
Mauro Ranallo: To be fair, Corey, he had help for two of them!
"True Love" hit, and Mike Kanellis came out as the 24th entrant. As he reached the bottom of the ramp, Kanellis ran around the ring and tried to attack Randy Orton, but Orton quickly overpowered him and after hitting Kanellis with a series of punches, Orton threw Scurll into the ring. As Kanellis got to his feet, he was immediately clotheslined over the top rope by Bobby Lashley! Lashley leaned on the ropes, laughing at Kanellis, and Chris Jericho took advantage, sneaking up behind Lashley and bundling him over the top rope! Meanwhile, across the ring, English hit Slater with the Director's Cut and tossed him out of the ring.
Corey Graves: Mike Kanellis, Bobby Lashley and Heath Slater all eliminated in quick succession!
Mauro Ranallo: Slater lasted 40 minutes in the Rumble, which is no mean feat! As for Aiden English, he's now been in there for 45 minutes!
There were only three superstars in the ring now – Aiden English, Chris Jericho and Hardcore Holly. The three men looked between one another, each contemplating their next move. A few moments later, "Familia" by Nicki Minaj and Anuel AA hit and Chavo Guerrero made his way to the ring. As Chavo entered the ring, he stood side by side with Aiden English, and the two men exchanged a few words, then charged towards Jericho and Holly. Guerrero went after Holly, while Aiden English fought Chris Jericho. Two minutes passed without any more eliminations, and Michael Dante came in at number 26. Upon entering the ring, Dante charged towards Chavo Guerrero, hitting him with a spear! Dante then exchanged punches with Hardcore Holly, but Holly was able to overpower him and hit him with a brainbuster. Two more minutes passed, and Elias Samson was next out. Elias immediately went after Chavo Guerrero as he entered the ring, and he tried to set Chavo up for the Drift Away, but Chavo blocked it, then hit Elias with the Gory Bomb! Elias looked dazed as he got to his feet, and he fell back onto the ropes. Guerrero hit him with a dropkick, sending him over the top rope!
Corey Graves: Elias Samson has been eliminated! His time in the Rumble lasted almost as long as one of his songs does before someone interrupts him!
Elias looked furious as he made his way to the back. Out next was Adam Cole, and upon entering the ring he went after Chavo. Two more minutes passed without any eliminations, and as "Metalingus" by Alter Bridge hit, the crowd cheered the arrival of Edge.
Mauro Ranallo: Edge entering at number 29... just one more superstar left!
As Edge made his way down the ramp, Randy Orton got to his feet and walked around the ring, joining Edge at the bottom of the ramp.
Corey Graves: Well I guess now we know what Orton was waiting for, Mauro! Are Rated RKO about to take over the Rumble?
Edge and Orton entered the ring together, and Edge went after Adam Cole while Randy Orton fought Michael Dante. Edge hit Cole with the Edgecution, then tossed him over the top rope. A few moments later, Orton hit the RKO on Dante, then threw him out of the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Adam Cole and Michael Dante have both been eliminated!
Chavo Guerrero and Aiden English teamed up to take on Edge and Randy Orton, while Jericho fought Hardcore Holly. The 10 second countdown for the 30th entrant appeared on the tron, and the crowd counted down with it – 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... "Sick of It" by Skillet hit, and PJ Black stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: At last! PJ Black is back!
Corey Graves: It was at the Royal Rumble last year that PJ Black tore his ACL... we haven't seen him since! Could it be a fairytale ending of the Darewolf?
Mauro Ranallo: Well one thing we know for sure, Corey... one of these 7 men is going to be in the main event of Wrestlemania!
The crowd chanted "Welcome back!" as PJ Black made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Black hit Chavo Guerrero with a superkick, then took Aiden English down with a reverse STO. Orton hit Black with a series of punches, then went for an inverted headlock backbreaker... but Black blocked it and hit a back drop, then hit Orton with a spinning leg drop. Hardcore Holly then ran at Black, going for a big boot, but Black ducked out of the way and grabbed Holly from behind, hitting the Black Diamond. Jericho then went for a bulldog, but Black countered with the Blue Thunder Bomb! There were just two men standing in the ring – Edge and PJ Black.
Mauro Ranallo: There's a lot of history between these two superstars... Edge actually beat PJ Black to win the World Title at Destiny 2017, but Black regained the championship a month later at Fanniversary.
Edge challenged Black to come at him, and Black did so. The two men exchanged right hands, and after gaining the upper hand, Black went for a spin kick. Edge ducked out of the way and grabbed Black from behind, hitting the Edge-o-matic! As Black got to his feet, Randy Orton snuck up behind him, hitting an RKO outta nowhere! Orton then pulled Black to his feet, allowing Edge to hit him with a Spear! Edge then dragged Black to his feet once more, this time sending him over the top rope. A moment later, Aiden English and Chavo Guerrero attacked Edge, but Orton came to his partner's aid. As the four men brawled, across the ring Hardcore Holly had Jericho set up for the Alabama Slam. Jericho broke free and hit Holly with an enzuigiri, then followed it up with the Codebreaker. Jericho turned his attention to Randy Orton, who Aiden English had on the ropes. English was trying to lift Orton over the top rope, but Orton fought back, hitting English with a European uppercut. Before Orton could move away from the ropes, Jericho ran at him, hitting a clothesline and sending Orton over the top rope! A few seconds later, Chavo Guerrero tried to hit a hurricanrana on Edge, but Edge countered with a powerbomb, throwing Chavo out of the ring!
Mauro Ranallo: Randy Orton and Chavo Guerrero have been eliminated! We're down to the final four!
Edge went after Jericho, whipping him into the corner then running at him, hitting a forearm smash. Across the ring, Aiden English had Hardcore Holly on the ropes, but Hardcore Holly was punching and kicking English furiously to stop English from eliminating him. Holly hit English with a pumphandle slam, and dragged him to his feet, then went to throw him over the top rope. English went over the top rope, but he landed on the ring apron, and as Holly went for a clothesline, English ducked underneath it and pulled down on the ropes, causing Hardcore Holly to go over the ropes and land outside the ring!
Corey Graves: Final three now, Mauro! Either Edge or Chris Jericho will win their second Royal Rumble, or Aiden English will echo what his wife Raquel Diaz did earlier tonight and win the Royal Rumble from the number one spot!
Mauro Ranallo: Aiden English has been in this match for 64 minutes now... that's more than Edge and Jericho's times combined!
English climbed back into the ring and crouched down in the corner, taking a moment to catch his breath. Meanwhile, Jericho hit Edge with a bulldog and ran against the ropes, going for a Lionsault... but Edge got his knees up and blocked it! Jericho struggled to his feet, clutching his ribs, and Edge charged towards him, hitting a Spear! Edge pulled Jericho to his feet, and threw him over the top rope, leaving Edge and Aiden English as the final two.
Mauro Ranallo: English must be running on pure adrenaline now... can he last just a little longer?
Corey Graves: Edge surely has the advantage, being so much fresher!
Edge looked up at the Mania sign, then offered his hand to Aiden English, wishing him good luck. English seemed hesitant to shake Edge's hand, in case it was a trick, but he did so and then immediately took a step back, staying out of range for a cheap shot. The two men locked up and English applied a headlock, but Edge broke free and whipped English against the ropes, then hit a spinning heel kick. As Edge got to his feet, he grabbed English by the legs, locking in the Edgecator! English cried out in pain, and punched Edge several times, forcing him to break the hold. English struggled to his feet, and Edge whipped him into the corner, then ran at him, going for a clothesline. English moved out of the way at the last second, causing Edge to collide with the turnbuckles. As Edge staggered back out of the corner, English grabbed him from behind, hitting the Director's Cut! English looked exhausted, and it was several seconds before he got to his feet. English then tried to pull Edge to his feet, but Edge hit him with a right hand, then got to his feet and grabbed English, setting him up for the Edgecution. English blocked it, countering with a northern lights suplex. Both men got to their feet and English went to whip Edge against the ropes, but Edge reversed the Irish whip, sending English into the ropes. As English hit the ropes, he grabbed onto the top rope, stopping himself. Edge ran towards him, going for a clothesline, but English was ready for him and he ducked underneath it, hitting Edge with a shoulder back toss! Edge went over the top rope, but he landed on the ring apron, and English hit an uppercut, knocking Edge down to the outside. The referee called for the bell and raised Aiden English's arm in victory.
Mauro Ranallo: What a moment for Aiden English! He's going to Wrestlemania!
Corey Graves: Aiden English and Raquel Diaz must be setting all kinds of records tonight, Mauro! First husband and wife to win the Royal Rumble? First time both the men's and women's Rumbles have been won by the person entering at number one?
As English celebrated, his wife Raquel Diaz ran down to the ring and hugged him. The two of them then made their way up the ramp, stopping to celebrate on the stage before walking through the curtain.
"Lost in Static" hit the PA and Tommy End entered the arena to a chorus of boos.
Mauro Ranallo: Michael Dante participated in the Men's Rumble earlier tonight, and Zahra Schreiber couldn't hold off the 15 women who competed for her Women's Title, because we have a brand new champ, Raquel Diaz!
Corey Graves: Well, one half of the tag team champions is going to see if he can end The Miz's Road to Wrestlemania right here tonight!
"Aweeeeesommmmeeee" The crowd cheered as "I Came to Play" hit and the Miz came to the stage. He opened his trench coat to reveal the EBWF World Championship around his waist, and then proceeded to charge into the ring, discarding both to the floor as he slid in under the bottom rope. End locked on the collar and elbow, and they struggled through the ropes and to the floor without breaking the lockup! The broke the hold, and both men slid back in. Miz with a big chop to the chest and End turned a waistlock takedown into a ride before backing off when the champion grabbed the ropes. Back to the lockup, Miz with a wristlock. End rolled through but couldn't reverse. End shoved Miz out of the corner, and put on the headlock. He reversed it into a takedown, but Miz kicked out at one.
Corey Graves: The Miz got rattled there.
End put on a side headlock again, Miz reversed to underhooks only to get back body dropped and hit with a headlock takeover to grind Miz down. Miz got to his feet, backing Tommy into the corner and the referee demanded the break. Miz whipped End into the corner, crushing him against the turnbuckles but End fired off forearms in return. End went off the ropes and landed a kick that sent the champ to the floor.
Mauro Ranallo: End is going up top!
End looked to be attempting the moonsault, but it was fakeout and Miz met him back in the ring, where End came off the corner. Miz ducked a kick, and Miz followed up, landing kicks of his own. He slung End into the corner only to get dumped to the floor himself. End came off the ropes and hit the tope con giro! End's knees connected with Miz, and he followed up with the spinning back elbow. The crowd cheered the fast paced wrestling as End continued with a basement dropkick, legsweep and a knee into a quebrada!
Corey Graves: Are you kidding me?
End pinned Miz, but the champ kicked out at one. Miz rolled away, and out of the ring. Miz walked around, and faked like he was trying to get counted out, before End came to the ropes to jaw off to him. Miz grabbed him by the leg, and pulled him out of the ring. End ducked a lariat, and decked Miz with a chest kick. Miz blocked being thrown into the stairs, but End laid another kick on him, and then threw Miz into the steps on the second attempt.
Mauro Ranallo: The referee has run out of patience, Corey. He's going to have to start his count.
Miz hit a suplex, driving End's puts legs into the steel steps! Miz put End’s knee over his own, and wrenched it down causing End to cry out. Miz rolled under the bottom rope to break the count, and then he went back where End was still on the apron. Miz employed the step over toehold, rolled through, and fell back leaving End with nowhere to go. Miz shifted, trapping End’s leg in the ropes and dropped a knee across the back of the knee! Miz followed through with slingshot knees into a choke, wrenching his arms to drag the knee in the ropes and hitting a knee strike to follow! Miz pulled End to the ring post, wrapping his leg around the steel. Miz hammered away at him and shifted his position to hit the other side of the knee into the steel!
Corey Graves: Miz is punishing that knee!
Miz whipped End into the announce table, but End caught himself and clobbered him with a roundhouse kick! End was unsteady on his feet, hobbling back inside, Miz hit him with a basement dropkick! Posting the knee again before drawing him up, and hanging End in the Tree of Woe for more stomps! Miz went up top but End hammered him with upkicks to slip away! Miz hit him with a right hand but End hit him with another roundhouse kick that sent both men crashing to the floor!
Mauro Ranallo: This match can't be contained to the ring!
Miz picked a leg, but End countered with elbows. Miz laid in with a right hand, and went back to the leg. End broke out of the hold and hit a front kick, but couldn't hit the suplex when his leg gave out!
Corey Graves: The damage has been done, Mauro.
Miz locked onto the leg again, but End fought him off. End hit a back elbow and then surprised Miz with a crescent kick! Miz staggered. End knocked him down with larait. He went for a roundhouse kick, but Miz surprised him with a small package.

Kickout! Miz pulled End up, intent to finish it with a SCF, but End blocked. End rolled through, and Miz ducked a Black Mass. Miz caught End for another SCF attempt, but End escaped and hit Miz with a forearm. End hit that roundhouse kick again, before hitting a thunderous German Suplex into a bridge.

Mauro Ranallo: The Champ kicked out again!
End was furious and ran at Miz who moved out of the way. End ran into the corner, and flopped out, onto his back. Miz put End in the figure four, and End struggled. He made an attempt for the ropes, but Miz sat down deeper into the hold, and End cried out. Finally, unable to reach the ropes to break the hold, Tommy End tapped.
Corey Graves: Are you kidding me?
Mauro Ranallo: The Miz retains!
Corey Graves: And with 9 weeks between now and Wrestlemania, we have to wonder... will The Miz meet Aiden English on the Grandest Stage of Them All?
Mauro Ranallo: It looks like he might, Corey. He just might.
Miz climbed up to the top turnbuckle and held his championship belt up for the crowd as the camera focused in on the Wrestlemania sign behind him before the Royal Rumble went off the air.
