Warfare cut backstage to find one of EBWF’s newest signees, Ruby Riott sat atop an equipment crate of to the side of the hallway. People passed her by without a word. The camera panned the hallway until it finally rested on Ruby.
Ruby Riott: ”Forgetful.
That is what Royalty has been since the day they’ve arrived. They have done nothing.”
She shook her head and looked off down the hallway.
Ruby Riott: ”Sure, I just got here. I haven’t done anything important, yet. But I’m working my way there. I’m working my way to a spot at WrestleMania for the EBWF Women’s Championship.
Can you say that about yourself.. Zelina?
Can you say that you’re here for yourself, or for your little group. How about it Zelina? Do you want to win the EBWF Women’s Championship or would you rather Charlotte? How about Andrade.. Do you want him to win the EBWF World Championship? Your priorities are everywhere that you don’t know what is truly important.
You come out here every week and you talk up Andrade and Charlotte like their careers depended on it. Which, they probably do, but where does that leave? Where does that leave Zelina Vega?”
Ruby shrugged her shoulders.
Ruby Riott: ”Honestly, I shouldn’t even ask you that question. Obviously you don’t care about where your career is going. You don’t care that you’re on your way to being only known for standing at ringside, letting all the guys take photos of your ass. No one is going to remember what you’ve done in the ring. They’re not going to care about any of your matches.. In that ring, you’re just going to become an afterthought.
All because you wanted to push Andrade and Charlotte before yourself.
You are going to let your legacy fall into the background.. The background of two people who may never amount to anything in EBWF. Andrade will never be EBWF World Champion.. Charlotte will never be EBWF Women’s Champion.. And you Zelina...
You will never be remembered.”
Ruby looked directly into the camera with a smirk.
Ruby Riott: ”Honestly, none of you Royalty will be remembered. You are all just a blimp on the radar here in EBWF, and I’ll admit.. I’m just a blimp right now myself, but I just arrived at the Royal Rumble. The three of you have been here a while, and you’re still at the bottom of the card. What can you say about that? I’m here because just like every other place I’ve been, I need to work my way up. I need to prove myself. I need to show the world, just what Ruby Riott can do. That’s why I’m at the bottom of the card.
Why are you?
The three of you have been here for what.. A better part of a year or so? You’ve had plenty of chances to prove yourself and do something in this company, but none of you have done anything to be remember.”
Ruby sat up straight on the sound crate.
Ruby Riott: ”Me, I’m going to make sure this place remembers. I don’t care who I have to go through to get to the top, but I will get there. I will be the EBWF Women’s Champion one day. And when that day comes, no one will forget it. No one will forget what I have done.
I have already started on that path with Becky Lynch. I showed the world how much of a “Queenslayer” she was.. She was a joke. Just like the Royalty she first set off to destroy.
That’s right, I remember when Becky Lynch tried to take on Royalty. And I remember that she actually made that dent in your armor. She was the first person to destroy the illusion that you’ve set up around yourselves. She showed the entire EBWF Universe just how powerful Royalty was.. And now, I’m going to rid the EBWF of the three of you once and for all.
See, where Becky may have beaten Charlotte.. She may have won the war with Royalty, but she didn’t rid the EBWF of you once and for all. And with that, it became her failure.
But where she failed, I will succeed. Not for myself.. Not the girls in the locker room that are tired of seeing you ride by on your high horses.. No no.. I’m going to do this for everyone. I’m going to rid the EBWF of Royalty once and for all. Then, we will no longer have to hear you ranting and raving about yourselves, without even one little dap of proof that you are as good as you say you are. No longer will we be subjectivified to listen to you preach “Long Live Royalty”.
That alone should give me a shot at the EBWF Women’s Championship.
Not because beating Royalty and sending them on their way is a big accomplishment. But just ridding the EBWF of you so that we don’t have to listen to you anymore.”
Ruby stood up off the crate and looked into the camera.
Ruby Riott: ”So Zelina, I hope tonight you have your head on straight. Make sure you’re out there tonight worrying about yourself. You need to be worried about yourself. Andrade and Charlotte, they don’t matter tonight. Even if you bring them to the ring tonight, it doesn’t matter. I may have only been here a little over a month, but I already have some backup just waiting for their moment to help me out of a bind. So if you plan on having your crew down there.. I may need to invite my squad.”
Ruby had a little gleam in her eye as she smirked.
Ruby Riott: ”Remember, I didn’t come to EBWF to just hang around at the bottom of the food chain.. I came here to make a statement. I came here to etch my name in the history books. I came to..
START A RIOT!!”
With a wink, Ruby turned and walked off down the hallway.
