Michael Cole was stood in the hallway backstage, hoping to get a word in with some of the Superstars who would be competing in the Royal Rumble. He noticed the Rated R Superstar coming toward him, and cleared the space between them to catch up.

Michael Cole: Edge! Edge, can I ask you about tonight's Royal Rumble?

Edge stopped and turned toward Cole.

Edge: Sure, why not?

Michael Cole: How are you feeling about the match tonight?

Edge: I mean, it's the beginning of the road to Wrestlemania. And it's going to be a great opportunity for whoever wins tonight.

Michael Cole: Any thoughts about your opponents?

Edge shook his head.

Edge: No.

Cole looked up at Edge, surprised, but the Ultimate Opportunist just chuckled, shook his head, and walked away. Cole was left blinking after him as the scene faded out.
