Mauro Ranallo: Good evening and welcome to the 2020 Royal Rumble! We are live from Tampa, Florida and tonight, the road to Wrestlemania begins!
The camera cut to Christy Hemme who was stood in the ring.
Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the women's Royal Rumble match! Introducing first, your special guest commentator... from Toronto, Ontario, Canada... She is the General Manager of the Women's Division... Angelina Love!
"Angel on my Shoulder" hit and the crowd cheered as Angelina Love stepped out onto the stage. Angelina walked down the ramp and took a seat at the announcers' table next to Nigel McGuinness.
Nigel McGuinness: Thanks for joining us, Angelica, it's lovely to have you here.
Angelina Love: The pleasure's all mine, Nigel.
Christy Hemme: It is now time to find out the superstar who has drawn number one...
"Recognition" hit and the crowd booed as Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring. When Charlotte was in the ring, "Celtic Invasion" hit and the crowd cheered as Becky Lynch stepped out onto the stage. Becky glared at Charlotte, then ran down to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: There's a lot of history between these two women... Angelina, it's almost like you planned it!
Angelina Love: Mauro, there are a few surprise entrants in this match that I'll take full credit for, but the order of entry is completely random, I promise.
As Becky entered the ring, the referee called for the bell. Becky charged towards Charlotte and hit her with a series of punches. Charlotte fought back with some right hands of her own, then whipped Becky against the ropes. As Becky ran back towards her, Charlotte went for a big boot, but Becky ducked out of the way, then grabbed Charlotte from behind, hitting a hammerlock inverted DDT. Becky stomped on Charlotte several times, then picked her up, hitting the Manhandle Slam! Becky pulled Charlotte to her feet, and threw her over the top rope!
Nigel McGuinness: Charlotte Flair has been eliminated!
Becky grinned, then waved goodbye to Charlotte. The ten second countdown for entrant number three began, and as the clock hit zero, "This Time I Want It All" hit and Tessa Blanchard made her way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: I don’t believe it! The Impact World Champion is entering the Rumble!
Angelina Love: That's right Mauro! A third-generation superstar and the first woman ever to win the Impact World Title!
As Blanchard entered the ring, Becky ran at her and went for a clothesline. Blanchard ducked out of the way, then grabbed Becky and threw her into the corner. Blanchard ran at Becky and hit a running knee strike, then tried to throw Becky over the top rope, but Becky held onto the ropes. Another minute or so passed with both women trying to eliminate one another, then Sarah Logan came in at number four.
Nigel McGuinness: We haven’t seen much of Sarah Logan in EBWF, it will be interesting to see how she does without the other two members of the Riott Squad by her side...
As Logan entered the ring, she hit Tessa Blanchard with a series of punches, then followed up with a headbutt. As Blanchard staggered backwards, Becky Lynch grabbed Sarah Logan from behind, but Logan turned around and hit Becky with a forearm smash, then whipped Becky against the ropes. As Becky ran back towards her, Logan hit Shotgun Knees, then as both women got to their feet, Logan hit a fisherman suplex. As Logan got to her feet, Tessa Blanchard grabbed her and lifted Logan up, body slamming her onto Becky Lynch. Blanchard then went to the top rope and hit a diving senton on both superstars! Blanchard pulled Sarah Logan to her feet threw her over the top rope, eliminating her. She then tried to eliminate Becky, but Becky fought back and hit Blanchard with a neckbreaker. The countdown clock hit zero, and "Time to Rise" hit. There was a mixed reaction as Eva Marie stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: It's Eva Marie... and she's dyed her hair! We've seen All Red Everything and All Black Everything, now it's time for All Purple Everything!
Angelina Love: Eva Marie has been very busy with her acting career, but she was free this weekend and it's great to have her back, even if it's just for one night.
Nigel McGuinness: Well Angelina, I hope she's kept Wrestlemania weekend free just in case!
As Eva Marie entered the ring, both Becky Lynch and Tessa Blanchard stared at her. Eva pointed at Becky then gestured towards Blanchard... Eva Marie and Tessa Blanchard then began to double team Becky Lynch! They beat Becky down and stomped on her several times, then pulled her two her feet and hit a double suplex. As Becky got to her feet, Eva Marie kicked her, then hit a DDT. Eva then gestured to Tessa Blanchard to throw Becky over the top rope, and Blanchard nodded... however she then grabbed Eva Marie and tried to throw her over the top rope! Eva was able to hold onto the ropes, and as she rolled back into the ring she got to her feet and glared at Blanchard. Eva yelled "you bitch!" then slapped Blanchard hard across the face! Eva grabbed Blanchard by the hair and dragged her towards the ropes, but Blanchard fought back, grabbing Eva Marie and trying to lift her over the ropes. As the two women tried to eliminate one another, Becky Lynch charged towards then and hit a double clothesline, sending both of them over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: It's a double elimination for Becky Lynch! And once again, she's all by herself.
Nigel McGuinness: Those few seconds are vital for Becky, it gives her a chance to recover!
Angelina Love: As entrant number two, she's going to have to outlast 14 other women to earn a championship match at Wrestlemania!
The countdown clock hit zero and Alexa Bliss came in at number six. As Alexa entered the ring, Becky charged towards her, but Alexa hit her with a kick to the midsection, then hit a snap DDT. Becky was down, and Alexa went to the top rope, going for Twisted Bliss... but Becky got her knees up and blocked it! Becky then grabbed Alexa and locked in the Dis-Arm-Her! Alexa cried out in pain, but after a struggle she was able to fight out of the hold. Both women got to their feet and Alexa went to lock up with Becky, but Becky overpowered her and shoved Alexa into the corner. Becky tried to lift Alexa over the top rope, but Alexa blocked it and shoved Becky away, then hit a chokehold STO. As Alexa stomped on Becky repeatedly, "Rush of Power" hit and the crowd cheered as Summer Rae made her way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Summer Rae is back!
Angelina Love: Well, at least for tonight, Mauro. We did discuss a full-time return but she started talking about all the campaigns she wanted to run... I'm pretty sure she mentioned the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare at one point. It was exhausting.
As Summer entered the ring, she hit Alexa Bliss with the Summer Crush, then as Becky Lynch got to her feet, Summer hit the Summer Solstice. Summer pulled Alexa to her feet and dragged her towards the ropes, then lifted her over the top rope... but Alexa grabbed Summer, pulling her over the top rope too! Both women hung on the ropes, then were able to roll back into the ring. As they re-entered the ring, Becky Lynch charged at Alexa and hit a clothesline, then hit Summer with a series of punches. Summer, Becky and Alexa continued to battle one another, then the countdown clock hit zero and for the second time that evening, "Angel on my Shoulder" began to play. The crowd cheered as Velvet Sky stepped out onto the stage.
Nigel McGuinness: Velvet Sky is here! I thought she'd retired!
Angelina Love: No Nigel, PJ Black retired. Velvet simply requested her release so she could spend more time with PJ. We granted her request, but she will always be welcome in EBWF and there was no way I was going to let her miss the Royal Rumble. I'd be in there with her myself if I didn't think it was a conflict of interest...
As Velvet entered the ring, she hit Summer Rae with a dropkick, then grabbed Alexa Bliss and hit her with a snapmare. She followed up with a shoot kick to the back of Alexa's head, then turned her attention to Becky Lynch. Becky and Velvet locked up, and Becky set Velvet Sky up for a DDT... but Velvet blocked it, countering with a northern lights suplex. As Velvet got to her feet, Summer Rae went to hit her with Summer Solstice... but Velvet ducked out of the way, then hit Summer with the #1 Stunna! Summer stumbled backwards, landing on the ropes, and Velvet hit her with a clothesline, sending her over the top rope.
Mauro Ranallo: Summer Rae has been eliminated!
As Velvet turned around, Alexa ran towards her and tried to throw Velvet over the top rope, but Velvet fought back, hitting Alexa with a series of punches. Velvet took Alexa down with a Russian legsweep, but as she got to her feet, Becky Lynch grabbed her, hitting an exploder suplex. Both women got to their feet, and Becky set Velvet up for the Manhandle Slam... but Velvet blocked it, then lifted Becky up onto her shoulders and hit a Samoan drop. All three women were down momentarily, then one by one, they all got to their feet. As Becky and Alexa worked together to try and eliminate Velvet, "Aphrodite" by Kylie Minogue hit and the crowd cheered as Torrie Wilson headed to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: She is a ten-time Women's Champion, a two-time Royal Rumble winner and a two-time Queen of the Ring... Torrie Wilson is a legend in every sense of the word!
Angelina Love: I absolutely agree, Mauro. The Royal Rumble wouldn't be the same without Torrie Wilson!
As Torrie entered the ring, she went after Alexa Bliss, leaving Becky Lynch to battle Velvet Sky. Another 90 seconds passed with no eliminations, then in came Liv Morgan at number 10.
Nigel McGuinness: We are now two thirds of the way through this match... there are just five more women left to enter the Royal Rumble!
As soon as Liv Morgan entered the ring, Alexa Bliss charged towards her, hitting Morgan with a flurry of punches. Morgan fought back with some right hands of her own, then took Alexa down with a bulldog. As Alexa got to her feet, Morgan hit her with the Liv Kick! Alexa fell back onto the ropes, and Morgan hit a dropkick, sending Alexa over the top rope. Torrie Wilson then grabbed Liv Morgan and set her up for the Nose Job, but Morgan blocked it and hit Torrie with the Jersey Codebreaker! Liv Morgan then dragged Torrie to her feet and threw her over the top rope, causing the crowd to boo.
Mauro Ranallo: Liv Morgan has eliminated two superstars in quick succession!
Nigel McGuinness: She's a very talented young superstar Mauro... she could be a force to be reckoned with!
Across the ring, Becky Lynch and Velvet Sky were fighting in the corner, trying to eliminate each other. Morgan charged towards them both, hitting a double clothesline. As Morgan attacked Sky, the countdown clock struck zero once again, and in came Zelina Vega at number 11.
Angelina Love: Here comes Zelina Vega, who wants to be more active as a wrestler rather than just being Andrade's manager. Let's see if she can prove she deserves that opportunity.
Upon entering the ring, Zelina went after Becky Lynch, going for a snapmare. Becky blocked it and hit a back drop, then set Zelina up for a powerbomb... but Zelina countered with a hurricanrana! Both women got to their feet, and Zelina whipped Becky into the corner, then ran at her, going for a crossbody. Becky caught Zelina, and threw her over the top rope!
Angelina Love: Well I guess that answers that question... Zelina is very athletic, but she needs to be smarter in the ring.
Across the ring, Velvet Sky and Liv Morgan were still fighting each other. Becky stayed in the opposite corner, taking a moment to catch her breath. "Missile" by Dorothy hit and the crowd cheered as Natalya headed to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Natalya in at number 12... There are just three more women left to enter!
As Natalya entered the ring, Becky sprung forwards out of the corner and hit Natalya with a series of punches. Natalya fought back with some right hands of her own, then hit Becky with the Michinoku Driver. Natalya grabbed Becky by the legs, and was about to lock her in the Sharpshooter, but before she could apply the hold she was attacked by Liv Morgan. Morgan took Natalya down with a single leg dropkick, then stomped on her several times. She pulled Natalya to her feet and dragged her towards the corner, hitting the #201! As Morgan got to her feet, Velvet Sky grabbed her and tried to eliminate her, but Morgan clung to the ropes. The countdown clock hit zero, and Trish Stratus made her way to the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: Natalya and Trish were very lucky to draw 12 and 13... Could they work together to take out the competition?
Angelina Love: If they do Nigel, they might want to eliminate Liv Morgan first, because Ruby Riott is out next!
As Trish entered the ring, Becky Lynch was attacking Natalya. Trish immediately came to Natalya's end, grabbing Becky Lynch and hitting her with a suplex. As Trish and Natalya double-teamed Becky Lynch, across the ring Liv Morgan had Velvet Sky trapped in the corner. Morgan hit Sky with a series of kicks, then set her up for a DDT, but Sky blocked it and hit a reverse STO into the corner! Sky was about to lift Morgan over the top rope when "We Riot" hit and Ruby Riott ran to the ring. Riott slid into the ring under the bottom rope and charged towards Velvet Sky, hitting her with a series of punches. She hit Sky with the Riott Kick, then threw her over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Velvet Sky has been eliminated!
Riott helped Liv Morgan to her feet, and the two members of the Riott Squad stared across the ring at Trish and Natalya.
Nigel McGuinness: The Riott Squad defeated Beautiful Dangerous in a tag match on Warfare a few weeks ago... can they eliminate Trish and Natalya from the Royal Rumble?
The four women charged towards each other, with Morgan attacking Natalya while Riott battled Trish. Morgan went to hit Natalya with the Jersey Codebreaker, but Natalya blocked it and grabbed Morgan by the legs, putting her in the Sharpshooter! Morgan cried out in pain and tried to break free, but Natalya had the hold locked in too tight. When she was satisfied the damage had been done, Natalya broke the hold. She then dragged Liv Morgan to her feet, shoved her into the ropes and hit a discus clothesline, sending her over the top rope. Across the ring, Ruby Riott had Trish on the ropes. Natalya grabbed Riott from behind and set her up for a German suplex, but Riott turned around and hit Natalya with a forearm smash, followed by a superkick! Riott turned her attention back to Trish, but Trish hit her with the Chick Kick! Riott fell to the mat and Trish picked her up, throwing her out of the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish and Natalya are standing tall! Can Becky Lynch fend them off?
Nigel McGuinness: Becky must be pretty tired, Mauro... she's been in this match since the beginning!
Angelina Love: Well gentlemen, we have our final four... because Nikki Cross is about to enter at number 15!
The countdown clock hit zero for the final time, and Nikki Cross ran down the ramp. Upon entering the ring, Nikki charged towards Trish Stratus, hitting her with a spear! Having speared Trish down to the ground, Nikki began punching her against the ring mat. Meanwhile, Natalya whipped Becky Lynch against the ropes, then hit her with a powerslam. Natalya grabbed Lynch by the legs, and went for the Sharpshooter, but Becky kicked her away and got to her feet. Natalya went for a clothesline, but Becky ducked out of the way and hit Natalya with the Manhandle Slam! Becky then threw Natalya over the top rope, eliminating her. Moments later, Nikki Cross set Trish up for The Purge, but Trish blocked it and hit the Stratusfaction! Nikki used the ropes to pull herself to her feet, and Trish hit her with a clothesline, sending her over the top rope.
Mauro Ranallo: Nikki Cross and Natalya have been eliminated! Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch are the final two!
Nigel McGuinness: One of these women will earn a championship match at Wrestlemania!
Lynch charged at Trish and went for a clothesline, but Trish ducked out of the way, then turned around and hit Becky with a series of punches. Trish went to whip Becky against the ropes, but Becky reversed the Irish whip, sending Trish into the ropes. As Trish ran back towards her, Becky hit an arm drag, then as Trish got to her feet, Becky hit an exploder suplex. Both women got to their feet and Becky lifted Trish up onto her shoulders, then went to throw her over the top rope... but Trish grabbed onto the ropes and landed on the ring apron. Becky then went to hit Trish with a big boot, but Trish pulled down on the ropes, causing Becky to go over the ropes. Becky landed on the ring apron, and both women held onto the top rope, determined not to fall to the outside.
Angelina Love: This is a very precarious position for both Trish and Becky!
Trish and Becky exchanged punches as they tried to knock one another off the apron. Becky then hit Trish with a forearm smash, but Trish responded by kicking Becky in the legs, causing her to lose her balance! Becky fell from the ring apron, but she was able to stop her right foot from touching the floor. As Becky dangled from the ropes, Trish climbed back into the ring and tried to force Becky to let go of the ropes. Becky shoved Trish away and managed to climb back onto the ring apron, but before she could get back into the ring Trish hit her with the Chick Kick! Becky fell to the outside, and as both of her feet hit the floor, the referee called for the bell.
Mauro Ranallo: What a moment for Trish Stratus! She won the Royal Rumble in 2005, and 15 years later, she's done it again!
Trish celebrated her victory, then made her way to the back.
"Loyalty is Everything" hit the PA and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Shayna Baszler came out onto the stage and proceeded down to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: The EBWF Women's Championship is on the line, and Trish Stratus will learn who she will face on the biggest stage of them all. Will it be this dynamo who has taken the EBWF Universe by storm, or will it be the longest reigning women's champion of all time...
"Lost in the Static" hit and Zahra came to the stage with the EBWF Women's Championship around her waist, ignoring the boos from fans.
Nigel McGuinness: I'm afraid Shayna may have bitten off more than she can chew here.
Zahra entered the ring and made a show of holding the championship above her head, before handing it over to the referee. The two women sized each other up as the bell rang. Baszler stuck first but Zahra hit a big enzuigiri and then knocked Baszler out of the ring. Zahra popped off from the apron and hit a crossbody on the floor.
Mauro Ranallo: Zahra laying it all on the line!
The two women traded rights on the outside, until the referee was at a 7 count, and then Zahra rolled back in. Baszler followed after, and went after Zahra pinning her in the corner. Zahra got knocked back to the outside!
Nigel McGuinness: You have to pin her in the ring!
Baszler followed and sent Zahra into the steel ring steps. She placed Zahra’s hand in the grip hole of the steps, then backed up and charged, slamming her arm. They returned to the ring and Baszler delivered a knee to the gut in the corner for a 2 count. She kept Zahra grounded with a submission, leaving Zahra struggling before finally getting to the bottom rope. They ended up on the apron. Zahra ducked a clothesline and tried for a German to the floor but Baszler hung on. Zahra rocked Baszler and she fell to the floor. Zahra ran the ropes and hit a huge dive into the barrier.
Mauro Ranallo: Mama Mia! Zahra Schreiber is pulling out all the stops to hold onto her Women's Championship!
Zahra returned to the ring and hit another big dive to the floor. Zahra brought it back in the ring and went to the top but Baszler rocked her with a kick to the head. Baszler climbed up but Zahra knocked her to the mat. Baszler came back and climbed up for a big super gutwrench suplex for a pop. Baszler helped Zahra to her feet by her hair, and Zahra fought back in the middle of the ring. Baszler grabbed her into the Kirifuda Clutch out of nowhere. Zahra immediately turned it around. Baszler broke it up and applied a hanging Kirifuda Clutch in the corner. Zahra escaped and hit her with a clothesline. Zahra hit a swinging neckbreaker, and went for the pin. Baszler kicked out just in time. Baszler with another Clutch. Zahra dropped Baszler and went for a DDT but misses. Baszler went right into the Kirifuda Clutch once again. Zahra tried to fight free but Baszler re-positioned on her back. Zahra tried to get to her feet with Baszler on her back, but couldn't power up. Baszler still had the hold locked in, leaving Zahra with no choice.
Nigel McGuinness: Zahra taps! Zahra taps!
Mauro Ranallo: We have a new women's champion! Shayna Baszler is here in EBWF and she has won the gold!
The Women's Championship was awarded to Shayna, who had her arm raised in victory as a video package for the World Championship match began to play.
The sounds of Sevendust filled the arena and the crowd gave a mixed reaction to the former EBWF World Champion.
Nigel McGuinness: How the tables have turned in just over a month!
Scenes from the brutal Christmas Eve of Destruction match played as Aiden English made his way to the ring.
"Lost in the Static" hit next and the EBWF World Champion, Tommy End, came to the ring with the world championship around his waist, and the tag championship on his shoulder. The crowd booed, but he set he was laser focused on Aiden English as the bell rang before he even gave his championships to the time keeper. They stared each other down before meeting in the middle of the ring. End leveled English with a huge back elbow first. They went at it.
Mauro Ranallo: There is nothing but animosity here!
End unloaded but English got in a devastating kick. End came back with more kicks. English went to the floor for a breather and End followed, beating English around the ringside area. English fought back but End kicked him against the barrier. End brought it back into the ring but English kicked him in the head, sending him down to the mat. English went to the floor to re-group again.
Nigel McGuinness: Aiden English is trying to play mind games with Tommy End here.
End followed him and kicked English in the head. End fought English up the ramp now as the referee counted. English dropped End on the ramp and he landed hard on the steel. English sent End into the barrier. English broke the count and went right back to work, beating End around the ringside area. End fought back with a kick but English stayed on top of him. English went on top of the barrier but End kicked him off with a big kick, sending English to the floor. End brought it back into the ring for a 1 count. They tangled in the ring again. End got a kick from the apron. End went to the top but landed on his feet from a stomp attempt. English countered again and dropkicked End, sending him hard into the corner and the post. English followed up with a suplex from the steps and the corner to the floor, hitting the barrier. The crowd started a "this is awesome" chant.
Mauro Ranallo: The EBWF Universe showing their appreciation for this athletic matchup.
They were trading punches on the floor despite the referee's count. End landed a big stomp and followed up with a running knee to the face against the barrier. End brought it back into the ring and went to work with kicks and a running knee to the side of the face. End stood tall with English face-down in the middle of the ring. End looked for Black Mass but English avoided it. End blocked the Director's Cut, and English surprised him with a roll-up, from which he kicked out after two. They traded a flurry of fists, before End bailed to the outside again. English went to dive out of the ring but End ran back in and leveled English with another big knee. English fought back in from the apron. End blocked a shot into the ring post and kept fighting back with strikes. End went to the second rope but English rocked him with a knee to the face to send him down.
Nigel McGuinness: And the big man goes down!
English went to the top but End jumped up for a superplex. English avoided it and sent him to the mat with a counter. End went back up to the top and kicked English down to the mat. End went for the pin, but English kicked out at two. End couldn't believe it, and the two men struggled to their feet, and began unloading on each other. English ran into a stiff kick to the head. End hit a springboard but English nailed him on the way down.
Mauro Ranallo: Tommy End is in trouble!
Aiden hit the Director's Cut, and hurried into the cover and hooked the leg.
1...
2...
3!
Nigel McGuinness: Are you kidding me!
Mauro Ranallo: What a battle! Watch a match! Aiden English is the EBWF World Champion once again.
Aiden snatched the championship belt from the referee, and rolled out of the ring before his hand was raised. He backed up the ramp and held the championship above his head, before pointing to the Wrestlemania sign hanging in the rafters. The crowd seemed to be more cheers than boos as a Royal Rumble promo package began to play on the tron behind him.
Mauro Ranallo: What a night it has been so far! Trish Stratus has won the Women's Royal Rumble, and both the World and Women's Championships have changed hands. Now it's time to find out who Aiden English will face at Wrestlemania... it's time for the 30 man Royal Rumble!
Nigel McGuinness: And as if that wasn't exciting enough, Mauro, we've got a special guest joining us on commentary!
"Sick of It" by Skillet hit and the crowd cheered as PJ Black made his way down the ramp. Black shook hands with Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness, then took a seat at the announce table.
Mauro Ranallo: Welcome back, PJ!
PJ Black: Thanks Mauro. When I announced my retirement last month, I said it wasn't goodbye... and as much as I wish I was competing in the Royal Rumble match, watching it here at ringside with you guys is going to be pretty special.
"Today is the Day" hit and the crowd booed as Elias Samson made his way down the ramp. Elias had his guitar with him, and he left the guitar with the timekeeper before entering the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Well last year, Aiden English came in at number one and went on to win the Royal Rumble. Nigel, PJ, do you think Elias can do the same tonight?
Nigel McGuinness: With all due respect to Elias, Mauro, given who has drawn number two I'm not sure Elias will last long at all!
"I Am Stronger" hit and the crowd cheered as Braun Strowman headed to the ring. As Strowman entered the ring, he glared at Elias. The referee called for the bell and Strowman moved towards Elias, but Elias held up his hands and pleaded with Strowman to wait. Elias then asked for a microphone, and as Christy Hemme handed him one, he began to speak.
Elias Samson: Wait just a minute, Braun. I know you want to beat me up, throw me over the top rope and then throw 28 other superstars over the top rope... but how about we have a little fun first?
Strowman looked confused.
Elias Samson: You see Braun, a little bird told me that you love to sing... and it just so happens I have my guitar with me...
Elias rolled out of the ring and grabbed his guitar from ringside, then re-entered the ring with it.
Elias Samson: So how about, while it's just you and me, we sing a song together?
A few fans could be heard laughing. Strowman looked intrigued. Elias passed him the microphone so he could respond.
Braun Strowman: You're right, Elias, I do like to sing. Do you know "Shallow"?
Elias nodded, then began to play it.
Braun Strowman (singing badly): Tell me something, girl. Are you happy in this modern world? Or do you need more? Is there something else you're searching for? I'm falling, in all the good times I find myself, longing for change, and in the bad times, I fear myself...
Strowman waited for Elias to sing his part, but instead Elias picked up the guitar and smashed it over Strowman's back! Strowman stumbled, but he stayed on his feet, and turned to face Elias. Elias Samson's eyes widened with fear, and Strowman grabbed him, lifted him over his shoulder and hitting a running powerslam! Strowman then threw Elias over the top rope, eliminating him.
Mauro Ranallo: Well that was... different...
The countdown clock hit zero, and Erick Rowan came in at number three.
Nigel McGuinness: And here come's Lio Rush's enforcer, Erick Rowan, who is actually making his EBWF debut tonight!
PJ Black: We're going to see a collision of two monsters right now... I bet Elias is almost grateful he's been eliminated!
As Rowan entered the ring, he hit Braun Strowman with a series of punches. Strowman fought back with some right hands of his own, then whipped Rowan against the ropes. As Rowan ran back towards him, Strowman took him down with a big boot. Rowan got to his feet, and Strowman went to lift him up for the running powerslam, but Rowan blocked it and hit Strowman with a DDT.
Mauro Ranallo: That shook the ring!
Rowan pulled Strowman to his feet and whipped him into the corner, then ran at him, hitting a bodypress. As Strowman staggered forwards, Rowan tried to clothesline him over the top rope, but Strowman shoved him away, then charged towards him and hit a shoulder block. The countdown clock hit zero again, "Better Than You" hit and MJF reluctantly made his way to the ring. As he reached the bottom of the ramp, MJF looked up at Rowan and Strowman and shook his head, then walked around the ring and stood near the announce table. Back in the ring, Erick Rowan hit Strowman with a pumphandle backbreaker, then glared at MJF and yelled at him to enter the ring. MJF laughed, and mouthed "I'm good".
PJ Black: I don't like this... Mauro, Nigel, excuse me a minute...
PJ Black got up from the announce table and grabbed MJF, throwing him into the ring! As soon as MJF entered the ring, Rowan grabbed him, hitting the Iron Claw Slam! Rowan then threw MJF over the top rope, eliminating him.
PJ Black: Much better!
Rowan turned his attention back to Braun Strowman, and a few minutes later Heath Slater came out as entrant number five. Slater looked worried, and like MJF he ran around the ring towards the announce table rather than entering the ring. Slater pointed at PJ Black, then pointed to Rowan and Strowman, indicating that he needed backup. Black shook his head.
PJ Black: Sorry Heath... I'm retired, you know that!
Slater looked disappointed, but nodded to show he understood. Slater grabbed a steel chair and entered the ring. He charged towards Rowan and drilled the chair into his ribs, then hit him across the back with it. Slater then swung the chair at Braun Strowman... but Strowman blocked it, and snatched the chair away from Slater! Slater pleaded for mercy, telling Strowman "I've got kids!" Strowman nodded, then threw the chair out of the ring... but then he grabbed Slater and lifted him up in the air, throwing him out of the ring too! Strowman then turned around, but as he did so Erick Rowan charged towards him, hitting a clothesline and sending Strowman over the top rope! The crowd booed as Strowman was eliminated.
Mauro Ranallo: The eliminations are coming faster than Usain Bolt!
For a few seconds, Erick Rowan was all by himself. Then "Broken Dreams" by Shaman's Harvest hit and Drew McIntyre headed to the ring. As McIntyre entered the ring, he charged towards Rowan, and the two men exchanged right hands back and forth. Rowan was able to gain the upper hand, and he hit McIntyre with a full nelson slam, then followed up with a big boy senton. McIntyre looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Rowan set him up for the Iron Claw Slam, but McIntyre blocked it and hit Rowan with a headbutt! Rowan staggered backwards, and McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick, sending Rowan over the top rope!
Nigel McGuinness: Another elimination! Now Drew McIntyre has the ring to himself!
The next ten second countdown began moments later, and McIntyre stared at the top of the stage, waiting to see who was out next. Chavo Guerrero made his way to the ring, and as he entered the ring McIntyre hit him with a series of punches, then set him up for a fireman carry gutbuster, but Chavo wriggled free and got behind McIntyre, hitting a double knee backbreaker. Both men got to their feet, and Chavo hit McIntyre with the Three Amigos! The crowd cheered as Chavo got to his feet. Chavo pulled McIntyre to his feet and went to throw him over the top rope, but McIntyre blocked it and hit Chavo with a clothesline. As McIntyre stomped on Chavo, "Making a Difference" hit and Andrade Cien Almas made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Andrade exchanged right hands with McIntyre, but McIntyre was able to gain the upper hand and he whipped Andrade into the corner. McIntyre ran at Andrade, hitting him with a big boot! As Andrade fell to the mat, Chavo grabbed McIntyre from behind, hitting him with a German suplex. As Chavo got to his feet, so too did Andrade, and Chavo hit him with a dropkick, knocking him over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Andrade Cien Almas has been eliminated!
Chavo turned his attention to McIntyre, who was back on his feet. Chavo locked up with McIntyre and put him in a headlock, but McIntyre fought out of it and lifted Chavo over his shoulder, hitting the Celtic Cross! Both men were down as the countdown clock hit zero. "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour hit, and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as CM Punk made his way to the ring.
PJ Black: It's been a while since we saw CM Punk in an EBWF ring...
Mauro Ranallo: That's right, PJ! The last time we saw Punk was when Aiden English assaulted him after they lost a tag match back in November!
Nigel McGuinness: Well now Aiden English is the EBWF World Champion again, Punk must be more motivated than ever to win the Royal Rumble. He has the change to get his revenge on the grandest stage of them all!
As Punk entered the ring, he hit McIntyre with a roundhouse kick, then whipped Chavo into the corner. Punk ran at Chavo, hitting him with a step-up high knee, then hit a short-arm clothesline, sending Chavo over the top rope.
Mauro Ranallo: Chavo Guerrero has been eliminated!
Punk turned back to Drew McIntyre, and the two men exchanged right hands back and forth. McIntyre gained the upper hand and set Punk up for the Future Shock DDT, but Punk blocked it and countered with an arm trap swinging neckbreaker. Punk then signalled for the GTS, and lifted McIntyre up... but McIntyre landed on his feet and hit Punk with a reverse STO! The countdown clock hit zero, and Michael Dante made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: We're a third of the way through now! Michael Dante is in at number 10!
Nigel McGuinness: It's been a difficult night for Legion so far... both Zahra Schreiber and Tommy End lost their titles. Can Dante restore some pride for Legion and win the Royal Rumble!
As Dante entered the ring, he charged towards McIntyre and hit him with a spear! Dante then grabbed Punk, and set him up for a powerbomb... but Punk countered with a back body drop. As Dante got to his feet, Punk hit him with the GTS! Punk dragged Dante towards the ropes, and tried to lift him over the top, but Dante wouldn't let go of the ropes. The countdown clock hit zero once again...
"Stand back! There's a Hurricane coming through!"
PJ Black: Mauro, is that...
Mauro Ranallo: It's wrestling's favorite superhero, The Hurricane!
The crowd cheered as The Hurricane walked out onto the stage. Hurricane ran to the ring and went after McIntyre, hitting him with a series of punches. He then set McIntyre up for the Hurrichokeslam, but McIntyre blocked it and whipped Hurricane into the corner. McIntyre ran towards Hurricane, going for a clothesline, but Hurricane got his knees up and blocked it. As McIntyre staggered backwards, Hurricane climbed to the top rope.
Nigel McGuinness: The Hurricane is going to fly!
Hurricane jumped from the turnbuckle and went for a diving crossbody... but McIntyre caught him and hit a fallaway slam! Meanwhile, across the ring, CM Punk had Dante in the corner and was hitting him with a series of kicks. Punk tried to lift Dante over the top rope, but Dante kicked him away, then grabbed Punk and lifted him up, hitting a brainbuster onto the knee. The countdown clock hit zero, and Bobby Lashley's music hit... but there was no sign of Lashley.
Mauro Ranallo: We're trying to find out where Lashley is, please bear with us... wait a minute, I'm hearing there's a commotion in the backstage area!
The camera cut backstage, where Erick Rowan was assaulting Bobby Lashley! Rowan hit Lashley with a series of punches, then grabbed him and slammed his head against the wall! Rowan dragged Lashley through the backstage area, taking him to the parking lot, then hit him with the Iron Claw Slam onto a car! The car windscreen smashed as Lashley landed on it.
Nigel McGuinness: Well just before Christmas, Lashley was found unconscious in his locker room and had to forfeit his place in the gauntlet match... based on what we've just seen, I think he'll be forfeiting his place in this match too!
Mauro Ranallo: Based on what we've just seen, I can't help but wonder if it was Rowan that attacked Lashley a few weeks ago. That was the night Lio Rush announced that he had a new enforcer...
Suddenly the screen went static. "Lost in the Static" by After the Burial hit, and Tommy End made his way to the ring.
PJ Black: I think Tommy End is claiming Bobby Lashley's spot in the Rumble!
Nigel McGuinness: That's someone unconventional, but talk about seizing an opportunity! With Dante still in the match, this could spell trouble for the other competitors!
One of the officials at ringside tried to stop End from entering the match, but End grabbed him and threw him into the ringside barrier, then entered the ring. As End entered the ring, The Hurricane ran towards him... but End hit the Owari Death Kick, then threw Hurricane out of the ring! The crowd booed as Hurricane was eliminated. End turned around, and was met with a Claymore Kick! McIntyre was about to eliminate Tommy End, but before he could do so Michael Dante attached him from behind. Dante hit McIntyre with a series of punches, then dragged him towards the corner and slammed his head off the top turnbuckle. Dante set McIntyre up in the corner and charged towards him, hitting a Spear! As McIntyre stumbled out of the corner, Dante threw him over the top rope, eliminating him.
Mauro Ranallo: There's just End, Dante and CM Punk left in the ring now... Punk could be in trouble!
As Dante tried to help Tommy End to his feet, CM Punk charged towards him, hitting Dante with a lariat. Punk stomped on Dante several times, then turned around and hit End with an elbow drop, trying to keep him grounded. Punk grabbed Dante and dragged him towards the ropes, trying to eliminate him, but Tommy End came to Dante's aid, charging towards Punk and hitting him with a knee strike. As End and Dante double-teamed Punk, the countdown clock hit zero and "The Heat Goes On" by Asia began to play. There was a huge pop from the crowd as Paul London stepped out onto the stage.
Nigel McGuinness: Oh my goodness! The Intrepid Traveller, Paul London, is entering the Rumble!
PJ Black: I can't remember the last time we saw Paul London in EBWF...
Mauro Ranallo: I just checked, it's been eight years!
Paul London was all smiles as he headed to the ring. As London entered the ring, End went for the Owari Death Kick... but London ducked out of the way, then hit an inverted atomic drop, followed by a frankensteiner! As London got to his feet, Michael Dante hit him with a series of punches then whipped him against the ropes. As London ran back towards him, Dante went for a powerslam... but London countered with a headscissors takedown! London then locked eyes with CM Punk, who had just gotten to his feet. Punk pointed at End and Dante, then pointed at London before pointing to himself. London nodded, and went after Tommy End while Punk attacked Dante!
Nigel McGuinness: I think Punk and London just formed an alliance!
PJ Black: A temporary alliance at least, to take care of Legion!
Another thirty seconds or so passed, then "Electrifying" hit and there was a huge reaction from the crowd as The Rock made his way to the ring. Dante had just hit Punk with a powerbomb, and as The Rock entered the ring, Dante charged towards him. Rock grabbed Dante and hit a floating snap DDT, followed by a kip-up! As Dante got to his feet, The Rock hit him with a series of punches, knocking him back onto the ropes. The Rock lifted his arm into the air and hit Dante with a huge right hand, knocking him over the top rope!
Mauro Ranallo: Michael Dante has been eliminated!
As The Rock turned around, CM Punk ran towards him, going for a clothesline. The Rock ducked out of the way, then grabbed Punk from behind, taking him down with a Russian legsweep. The Rock stomped on Punk several times, then grabbed him by the legs, locking in a sharpshooter! Meanwhile across the ring, Tommy End had Paul London trapped in the corner. After hitting a series of kicks, End stepped back and ran at London, going for a high knee. London ducked out of the way and hit End with a dragon suplex, then went to the top rope and hit a shooting star press!
Nigel McGuinness: Incredible athleticism from Paul London!
PJ Black: It's always a risk going to the top rope in the Rumble, but as a darewolf I can't help but admire that!
The countdown clock hit zero, and "Medal" began to play. The crowd cheered as Kurt Angle stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: Kurt Angle is entering at number 15! The first ever EBWF World Champion back in 2002, Angle went on to win the first EBWF Royal Rumble men's match in 2003 and won the World Title for the third time at Wrestlemania II. Can Angle book his place in the main event of Wrestlemania again 13 years later?
As Angle entered the ring, London ran towards him, but Angle hit him with an overheard belly-to-belly suplex. As Angle got to his feet, CM Punk ran towards him, going for a lariat, but Angle ducked underneath it and got behind Punk, hitting a German suplex. Tommy End then went to hit Angle with the Owari Death Kick, but Angle blocked it and lifted End up, hitting the Angle Slam! As Angle got to his feet, he locked eyes with The Rock. The two men exchanged right hands back and forth, and Angle went to whip Rock against the ropes, but Rock reversed it, sending Angle into the ropes. As Angle ran back towards him, The Rock hit a spinebuster, then removed his elbow pad and swung his arms back and forth. The Rock ran against one set of ropes, then the other, before hitting the People's Elbow!
Mauro Ranallo: The most electrifying move in sports entertainment, and you can feel the electricity in the arena right now!
As The Rock got to his feet, CM Punk attacked him, hitting him with a series of punches. Punk hit Rock with a knee to the midsection, and set him up for the GTS... but The Rock wriggled free, then hit Punk with the Rock Bottom! The Rock pulled CM Punk to his feet and threw him over the top rope, eliminating him. "Counting Bodies Like Sheep" hit and Randy Orton made his way to the ring as the 16th entrant. As Orton entered the ring, he exchanged punches with The Rock. Across the ring, Tommy End battled Paul London, while Kurt Angle was still down on the mat. A further 90 seconds passed, then "F.E." by 40 Below Summer hit and Syxx made his way to the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: Well this is ironic... as Syxx enters, there are now six superstars in the ring!
Syxx went after Kurt Angle, pulling him to his feet and throwing him over the top rope... but Angle held onto the ropes! He then hit Syxx with a right hand, before re-entering the ring. As Angle battled Syxx, Randy Orton had The Rock in a chinlock. The Rock fought out of it and hit Orton with a scoop slam, then stomped on him several times. Across the ring, Tommy End had Paul London trapped in the corner, and was using his foot to choke the Intrepid Traveller. There were no further eliminations before the countdown clock struck zero, signalling it was time for the 18th superstar to enter the Rumble. "Judas" by Fozzy hit, and the crowd booed as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: Well Chris Jericho said he was being "true to himself" when he turned his back on The Miz... will the "real" Chris Jericho win the Royal Rumble, and book his place in the main event of Wrestlemania?
As Jericho entered the ring, Paul London had just hit Tommy End with a northern lights suplex, and as London got back to his feet, he locked eyes with Jericho. Jericho looked at Paul London and smiled, then held out his arms for a hug. London grinned, then hugged Jericho! However, as the hug ended, Jericho grabbed Paul London and threw him over the top rope!
Nigel McGuinness: Jericho just tricked his former Fed Ex stable member!
PJ Black: You'd think since Paul London is from the future, he would have seen this coming...
Jericho then turned his attention to Kurt Angle, throwing the Olympic Gold medallist into the corner then hitting him with a series of backhand chops. In the opposing corner, Syxx had just hit Randy Orton with a dropkick, causing Orton to fall into a sitting position. Syxx stepped back then ran towards Orton, going for the bronco buster... but Orton managed to move out of the way! As Syxx got to his feet, Orton hit him with an RKO! Orton then threw Syxx out of the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Syxx has been eliminated, courtesy of an RKO outta nowhere!
Moments later, End hit The Rock with a roundhouse kick, knocking him back onto the ropes. End ran towards The Rock and went to clothesline him over the top rope, but Rock hit End with a back body drop, dropping him out of the ring! As The Rock exchanged punches with Randy Orton, "The Deletion Anthem" hit and Matt Hardy made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Hardy went after Chris Jericho, who had just eliminated Kurt Angle. Hardy hit Jericho with series of punches, then set him up for the Twist of Fate... but Jericho blocked it and hit a double underhook backbreaker. On the other side of the ring, The Rock lifted Orton over his shoulder and went to throw him over the top rope, but Orton wriggled free and hit an inverted headlock backbreaker. As Orton hit The Rock with the Garvin Stomp, Jericho went to put Matt Hardy in the Walls of Jericho... but Hardy kicked Jericho away and got to his feet. Hardy whipped Jericho into the corner and hit a corner clothesline, followed by a running bulldog. The countdown clock hit zero, and Brock Lesnar headed to the ring. As Lesnar entered the ring, Lesnar grabbed Matt Hardy, hitting him with a release German suplex. Lesnar then grabbed Jericho, hitting him with a double powerbomb! The Rock grabbed Lesnar and went for the Rock Bottom, but Lesnar blocked it and countered with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! As Lesnar got to his feet, he locked eyes with Orton, who smirked then challenged Lesnar to bring it. As Lesnar walked towards Orton, Matt Hardy grabbed The Beast and went for the Twist of Fate... but Lesnar hit him with a stiff kick to the midsection, then lifted him onto his shoulders, hitting an F-5! As Lesnar got to his feet, he turned to face Randy Orton, who hit him with an RKO outta nowhere! Lesnar stumbled to his feet, and The Rock grabbed him, hitting the Rock Bottom! Orton and Rock then pulled Lesnar to his feet, and threw him over the top rope.
Nigel McGuinness: A short lived EBWF return for Brock Lesnar!
Their temporary alliance ceased as The Rock and Randy Orton exchanged right hands. "I Came To Play" by Downstait hit and The Miz ran to the ring. As soon as The Miz entered the ring, he ran towards Chris Jericho, hitting him with a series of punches. Miz then hit Jericho with a snap DDT, before stomping on him repeatedly. Jericho rolled out of the ring to get away from Miz, but Miz followed Jericho to the outside, sliding under the bottom rope and throwing Jericho into the ringside barrier. Miz then grabbed the ring bell and hit Jericho with it, before dragging Jericho towards the Spanish announce table. The Miz threw Jericho onto the table, then hit the Skull Crushing Finale, slamming Jericho through the table!
Mauro Ranallo: Understandably, Miz is angry after what happened. He wants to destroy Chris Jericho tonight!
PJ Black: He needs to get him back into the ring though, Mauro... he's still in the match right now, even if he is out cold!
The Miz dragged Jericho to his feet and threw him back into the ring, but as Miz re-entered the ring, Jericho rolled back out. Before The Miz could go after Jericho, The Rock grabbed him and hit Miz with a series of punches, then whipped Miz against the ropes before hitting a Samoan drop. "Like a Prayer" hit, and the crowd cheered as Grado made his way to the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: We haven't seen much of Grado recently... can the "Chubby Wee Chancer" pull of an upset and win the Royal Rumble?
Grado entered the ring and charged towards Matt Hardy, hitting him with a series of punches. Hardy fought back with some right hands of his own, then hit Grado with the Twist of Fate! Hardy threw Grado over the top rope, eliminating him. As Hardy turned around, Orton hit him with a Thesz press, followed by mounted punches. Across the ring, The Rock set Miz up for the Rock Bottom, but Miz countered with a jawbreaker, then locked Rock in the figure four! "Metalingus" by Alter Bridge hit and the crowd cheered as Edge stepped out onto the stage. Edge walked down to the ring and upon entering the ring, looked around at the other competitors. The Miz had just released The Rock from the figure four, an Edge charged towards him going for a Spear... but Edge dodged out of the way! Miz then grabbed Edge, going for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Edge blocked it and turned around, hitting Miz with the Edgecution! Edge then ran across the ring, helping Orton double-team Matt Hardy. Orton and Edge hit Hardy with a double suplex, then as they got to their feet, The Rock hit them with a double clothesline! The Rock grabbed Edge and whipped him into the corner, then hit him with a series of punches. "I Came To Collect" hit and Lio Rush headed to the ring, laughing as he made his way down the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: Lio Rush's enforcer Erick Rowan was eliminated earlier, so Rush is entering this match without any help. How will the Man of the Hour fare against these much bigger superstars?
PJ Black: Well not all of them are bigger, Mauro... The Miz is pretty short!
As Lio Rush entered the ring, he went after The Miz, whipping him against the ropes before hitting a dropkick. Both men got to their feet, and Rush hit an enzuigiri, then followed up with an inverted DDT. As Miz got to his feet, Rush went to throw him over the top rope, but Miz held onto the ropes. As Miz tried to roll back into the ring, Rush stomped on him several times, trying to knock him off the ring apron. Hardy grabbed Rush and hit him with a series of punches, giving Miz a change to re-enter the ring. A minute or so later, "Booyaka 619" by POD hit and the crowd cheered as Rey Mysterio headed to the ring. Mysterio ran down the ramp and slid into the ring. As Mysterio entered the ring, Matt Hardy ran at him, going for a clothesline, but Mysterio reacted quickly and hit Hardy with a drop toe hold. Hardy fell onto the ropes, and Mysterio hit the 619!
Nigel McGuinness: The ring is starting to fill up... there are seven superstars in the ring. Plus Jericho on the outside!
Mauro Ranallo: He is still down after being put through the Spanish announce table... do you think he's hurt, Nigel, or just biding his time?
PJ Black: I'd say the latter for sure, Mauro. He'll be playing possum, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
In the ring, Mysterio continued to battle Matt Hardy, Lio Rush fought The Miz, while Edge and Orton were working together to try and eliminate The Rock. The countdown clock hit zero, and "Phenomenal" began to play. The crowd cheered as AJ Styles stepped out onto the stage. Upon entering the ring, Styles hit Lio Rush with a brainbuster, then hit Matt Hardy with an ushigoroshi. Styles then grabbed Mysterio, hitting him with the Styles Clash! Miz exchanged right hands with Orton while Styles battled Edge. Styles went to whip Edge against the ropes, but Edge reversed the Irish whip, sending Styles into the ropes. As Styles hit the ropes, Edge charged towards him, hitting the Spear! Edge threw Styles over the top rope, then helped Orton beat down Miz. Orton set Miz up for the RKO, but Miz blocked it and shoved him away. Orton stumbled forwards, right towards The Rock, who hit Orton with the Rock Bottom! The Miz hit Edge with a sitout shoulder jawbreaker, then as Edge staggered backwards, Miz hit him with a clothesline, sending him over the top rope. A moment later, The Rock threw Orton out of the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Rated RKO have been eliminated!
"How Do You Like Me Now?" hit, and the crowd booed as Hardcore Holly made his way to the ring, carrying a steel chair.
PJ Black: Wait, Hardcore Holly is in this match? I thought he'd quit?
Nigel McGuinness: Well PJ, from what I've heard he is still under contract, and as such he's contractually obliged to be here tonight!
Holly entered the ring and hit Hardy over the head with the chair, then drilled it into Miz's ribs. Holly then looked at Rush and hesitated, unsure whether or not to hit him with the chair. The Rock took advantage of the hesitation, snatching the chair off Holly and dropping it onto the mat, then grabbing Hardcore Holly and DDTing him onto the chair! The Rock threw Hardcore Holly over the top rope, then as he turned around, Lio Rush charged towards him, hitting a flying forearm smash. Rush then followed up with a standing moonsault! As Rush continued to go after The Rock, Miz went after Matt Hardy. The countdown clock hit zero again, and "Just Close Your Eyes" by Story of the Year hit. The crowd cheered as Christian stepped out onto the stage.
Mauro Ranallo: Captain Charisma is here!
Christian looked around at the crowd and grinned, then ran down the ramp. As he entered the ring, Christian hit Lio Rush with a series of punches, then lifted him onto his shoulders and hit a fireman's carry gutbuster. Christian then turned his attention to The Rock, and the two men exchanged right hands back and forth. On the other side of the ring, The Miz hit Matt Hardy with the Skull Crushing Finale, then threw him over the top rope! As The Miz turned around, Chris Jericho re-entered the ring, attacking Miz from behind! Jericho hit Miz in the head, then threw him shoulder first into the ring post! As Jericho pummelled Miz in the corner, "Psycho Killer" hit and Tommaso Ciampa made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: And here comes Tommaso Ciampa who is entering the ring at number 29. Just one more superstar left to enter...
As Ciampa entered the ring, he ran at Christian and hit him with a high knee, then turned to The Rock and took him down with a lariat. Ciampa stomped on The Rock several times, then Christian grabbed him from behind and hit the Killswitch! On the other side of the ring, Jericho still had Miz trapped in the corner, but Miz fought back and hit Jericho with a series of punches, knocking him down before catapulting Jericho into the corner! As Jericho staggered backwards, Miz set him up for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Jericho blocked it then took Miz down with a clothesline. Jericho grabbed Miz by the legs, and locked Miz in the Walls of Jericho! For the final time, the ten second countdown for the next Royal Rumble entrant began. As the clock hit zero, for the first time in a year "I Hope You Suffer" by AFI blasted through the arena.
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia!
Nigel McGuinness: Is that...?
PJ Black: Jimmy Havoc has returned to EBWF!
The crowd cheered as Jimmy Havoc stepped out onto the stage. Havoc walked down the ramp, and as he entered the ring Lio Rush ran at The Miz, going for a leg lariat. Havoc ducked out of the way then grabbed Rush, lifting him up onto his shoulders and throwing him to the outside!
Havoc then locked eyes with Jericho, who released Miz and charged towards Havoc. Jericho went to hit Havoc with the Judas Effect, but Havoc ducked out of the way, then grabbed Jericho and hit the Acid Rainmaker! Christian then grabbed Jimmy Havoc and set him up for a DDT, but Havoc blocked it and lifted Christian up onto his shoulders, hitting the Go Home Driver. Both men got to their feet, and Havoc hit Christian with a series of punches, then ran at him and hit a clothesline, sending him over the top rope! Havoc then turned his attention to Tommaso Ciampa, grabbing him and hitting the Acid Rainmaker! Havoc dragged Ciampa to his feet, and threw him over the top rope, eliminating him!
Nigel McGuinness: That's three eliminations for Jimmy Havoc in less than two minutes!
Mauro Ranallo: We're down to our final four! The Rock, Chris Jericho, The Miz or Jimmy Havoc is going to challenge for the World Title at Wrestlemania!
With Jericho and The Miz still down, Jimmy Havoc turned his attention to The Rock, who was stood across the ring from him. The Rock held out his hand and beckoned Havoc towards him, telling Havoc to "just bring it". Havoc charged towards Rock, hitting him with a series of punches, but The Rock fought back with some right hands of his own. As Havoc and The Rock exchanged punches, The Miz and Jericho both got to their feet. Miz grabbed Jericho and whipped him into the corner, then hit him with the Awesome Clothesline! As Jericho staggered forwards, Miz set him up for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Jericho dropped to his knees, then hit Miz with a low blow! Jericho got to his feet and hit The Miz with the Judas Effect, then threw him over the top rope! Jimmy Havoc was slowly getting to his feet, and Jericho grabbed him, hitting a series of backhand chops. Jericho then hit Havoc with a kick to the gut, before taking him down with a one-handed bulldog. Jericho then went for the Lionsault... but Havoc got his knees up and blocked it! As Jericho clutched his ribs, Havoc got to his feet and stomped on Jericho several times, then pulled him to his feet and set him up for a piledriver. Jericho blocked it, countering with a back body drop. Jericho stomped on Havoc several times, then grabbed him by the legs, setting him up for the Walls of Jericho. Havoc kicked Jericho away before he could lock it in, then got to his feet. Havoc charged at Jericho, taking him down with a high knee, then grabbed Jericho and punched him against the ring mat several times. Havoc dragged Jericho to his feet, and set him up for the Acid Rainmaker... but Jericho ducked underneath it, before hitting the Judas Effect! Jericho pulled Havoc to his feet and threw him over the top rope... but Havoc held onto the ropes! Jericho ran at Havoc and tried to knock him off the ring apron, but Havoc poked Jericho in the eyes! As Jericho cried out in pain, Havoc grabbed him, trying to pull him over the top rope. Jericho held onto the ropes, then hit Havoc with a top rope guillotine! Havoc fell off the ring apron, and as his feet hit the floor the referee called for the bell.
Mauro Ranallo: I don't believe it! Chris Jericho has won the Royal Rumble!
The referee raised Jericho's arm in victory, and Jericho began to celebrate. As Jericho climbed the turnbuckle and pointed at the Wrestlemania sign, Aiden English began walking down the ramp, the World Title over his shoulder. Jericho climbed down from the turnbuckle and glared at English. English stood at the bottom of the ramp, pointed at the Wrestlemania sign behind Jericho, then held up the World Title.
Nigel McGuinness: I think Aiden English is reminding Chris Jericho that he may have booked his place in the main event of Wrestlemania, but that doesn't mean he's going to win the World Title!
PJ Black: Well if anyone would know that, it's Aiden English, Nigel... that's exactly what happened to him last year!
Mauro Ranallo: And now he's a two-time World Champion... what a difference a year makes! PJ, thanks for joining us, it's been a pleasure to have you here. Nigel, thanks to you as well, and thanks to all of you watching around the world. Be sure to tune into Warfare next week... we'll see you then!
Jericho and English continued to stare coldly at one another as the show went off the air.
