God Save the Queen Part Deux

by Becky Lynch
A couple of weeks ago on Warfare, the weekly flagship show of the EBWF, the Queen Slayer also known as Becky Lynch made her return against the Queen of Spades, the Submission Magician better known as Shayna Baszler. Becky headed into the match looking forward to living up to her nickname by slaying the Queen of Spades.

Sadly, this did not come to fruition as Shayna Baszler lived up to her nickname, the Submission Magician. She did the unthinkable. She made Becky Lynch tap out. As if things were not bad enough, Becky had to enter the Royal Rumble as the second entrant.

Much to the surprise of no one, Becky lasted until the end of the match and that is where the story gets worse. Instead of the biggest star in wrestling, man or woman, getting the win she richly deserves, it goes to a relic of the past. Instead of the person everyone wanted to see win, they were “treated” to someone that should be napping in a retirement home winning.

So, yeah. Really great return for the Queen Slayer so far. However, things can change. That change, in the mind of Becky Lynch, could very well begin on the next episode of Warfare. Once again, Becky Lynch will find herself in the ring opposite of the Queen of Spades who, as of the results of the Royal Rumble, is now the Women’s Champion.

One would think that Becky Lynch would but upset or angry or enraged over Shayna winning the Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble instead of herself, but they would be wrong. As a matter of fact, Becky sees this as a silver lining. Should she topple the Queen of Spades, it could very well put her right into the title hunt. She knows the ramifications of of this match and she knows very well that she cannot allow herself to leave anything to chance.

The scene opens up with the camera doing a close up on the face of Renee Young, who has a warm, welcoming smile on her face.

“Ladies and gentlemen…” Renee begins. “Please welcome at this time, Becky Lynch and Winter!”

The camera zooms out to show the Queen Slayer better known as Becky Lynch and the Satanic Diva better known as Winter sitting with Renee.

“Two weeks ago on Warfare, Becky Lynch returned to the EBWF and she took on the debuting Shayna Baszler. Becky looked to live up to her nickname, the Queen Slayer, but her efforts were in vain as Shayna Baszler made her tap out. Last week, Becky drew an unlucky number as she started out the Royal Rumble as one of the two opening participants alongside Charlotte Flair. Becky lasted all the way to the end until she was the last person eliminated by the winner, Trish Stratus.” Renee turns to face Becky and Winter. “So, Becky. What are your thoughts on the rough couple of weeks that you’ve been having?”

Becky looks at Winter and nods at her, allowing Winter to answer Renee’s question. “You first brought up the fact that Shayna Baszler made Rebecca tap out. Yeah, Rebecca could say this or that, but she has decided not to. Why cry over spilled milk? It was not her night and with the match against Shayna that she has tonight, she will make things right. It makes it all the better that Shayna Baszler is the Women’s Champion, because once Rebecca makes Shayna tap, then she will not be denied the championship match that she deserves more than some MMA reject.”

Renee nods her head in the affirmative, letting the information from Winter process. “I see…”

The Satanic Diva continues her diatribe. “As far as the Royal Rumble is concerned, Rebecca is not too bothered by it. In fact, more people were impressed by her being the Iron Woman of the Royal Rumble than they were with some schlampe that should be napping in a retirement home winning it. Much like the match with Shayna Baszler two weeks ago, that overrated trollop winning the Royal Rumble in the place of Rebecca is nothing more than a speed bump on the road to Rebecca winning the Women’s Championship.”

“Okay…” Renee says, not sure what to make of the diatribe coming from the White Walker. “So, why is Becky remaining silent throughout this interview so far?”

In response to the question that was just asked, Becky rolls her eyes and sighs in annoyance before Winter answers for her. “I am speaking on the behalf of Rebecca, because if she wanted to answer your questions, then she would do so. Rebecca has made it very clear to me that it is her wish to not talk to anyone, and so I do the talking for her. Besides, everything I say is what Rebecca is thinking.”

Renee raises an eyebrow. The look on her face basically says ‘Then why am I here?’ Nevertheless, she presses on with the interview. “So, given that Shayna Baszler made Becky Lynch tap out two weeks ago on Warfare and that Trish Stratus eliminated her last in the Royal Rumble in order to win, has Becky’s confidence been shaken at all?”

Becky looks at Renee with a furrowed brow and squinting eyes as if saying ‘What kind of shit are you on?’ Watching the reaction from Becky, Winter answers accordingly. “Are you kidding me? Is this a serious question? Is this a joke question? It must be a joke question, Renee. The confidence of Rebecca is what it has always been. It is unshakable. Rebecca is like a diamond. You cannot break her. Shayna made the promise two weeks ago that she would break Rebecca. Seeing as Rebecca is sitting her and doing this interview, you can tell that Shayna failed just like she failed to win her last four MMA fights. Tonight, she will fail to break Rebecca once again.”

“If she has one, what is Becky’s game plan for this match with Shayna Baszler? There’s a reason why she won the Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble.”

“To answer your question, it would be amateur hour, pure amateur hour, if I were to say that Rebecca would just waltz on down to the ring, and beat Shayna to a bloodied pulp. You see, Rebecca has been studying Shayna, watching from the wings, looking for any weakness in Shayna, and while Shayna does have plenty of weaknesses and plenty of flaws, her biggest weakness is her arrogance. I find hilarity in that fact, because arrogance always finds a way to fuck the arrogant in the end. Also hilarious is that given my own arrogance as well as pride, I could have seen her as a kindred spirit. However, such is not the case because while she and I are both prideful and arrogant, I know that there is a time and a place for such foolishness. Shayna does not, and it will be her arrogance that brings about her painful defeat.”

“I see…”

“As for your statement about there being a reason why Shayna Baszler is the Women’s Champion, I agree. There is a reason why Shayna Baszler is the Women’s Champion. She is the Women’s Champion simply because Rebecca allows it. There is a perfect reason why Zahra was champion for so long and why Shayna is the current champion. It is because Rebecca allowed it to happen, knowing full well that she can take that championship at any time that she desires.”

Becky nods her head in approval, fully agreeing with Winter’s words before Winter continues.

“Zahra remained champion until the Royal Rumble because Rebecca was busy with other interests. Shayna won the championship at the Royal Rumble and is the current champion because Rebecca was in the Rumble match itself. Trish Stratus winning the Royal Rumble? That was also because Rebecca allowed it. Not only that, but Rebecca is the one that carries the division on her aptly named boulder shoulders. She is the biggest star that this division has. She runs this division. She owns that championship whether Shayna likes it or not.”

Renee interrupts, stopping Winter. “That championship is property of EBWF.”

Becky sighs, annoyed while Winter retorts. “By proxy, it is. My point is, like I said, that Rebecca carries this division. She is the reason why this division runs. She is the biggest star of all time to hit this division. Like I have said, she can take that championship at any time that she desires. Obviously, it will not happen tonight because Shayna is too chickenshit to put the championship online, but when Rebecca finally gets that title match that she deserves, she will leave with that belt. Tonight, however, is a different story. Rebecca is only out for one thing and one thing only, and that is prove to everyone that her loss to Shayna Baszler was nothing more than a bad night.”

“Well, we’re almost out of time.” Renee says after the off-screen camera man gives her the cue to ‘go home’. “Any last words?”

Yes. If Shayna Baszler thinks that her Clutch is going to cut it again… If she thinks that Rebecca is going to tap out again… If she has illusions of breaking the biggest star that this division has ever seen, then Shayna has another thing coming. You must understand that Rebecca has been training and training and training extra hard. She has watched and studied the matches that Shayna Baszler puts on. She even had me utilize the style that Shayna employs in her matches during our training sessions. To say that Rebecca is ready is the understatement of the century. She knows all about Shayna Baszler. She knows the strengths, she knows the weaknesses, and she has become well-versed with the style of Shayna.. So, Shayna can only do two things, lose and like it. Shayna had better be ready, because Rebecca is not here to play games. Rebecca is not here to make friends. Rebecca is not here to do anything but win matches. She is here to become the Women’s Champion. She is here to prove that the loss to Shayna Baszler was nothing more than a bad night, and she is definitely here to live up to her nickname, The Queen Slayer. The best part about it is that there is nothing that Shayna Baszler can do about it. The time is upon us and that means that Rebecca will slay the Queen of Spades.”
