Not a want but a NEED

The scene opened up at a house show- a match had just concluded and the fans in attendence were immediately heard cheering loudly as The Miz was entering the arena. He had a rolling suitcase and wore an expensive suit. Renee Young saw Miz entering the arena's backstage are and quickly hustled to talk to him.
Renee Young: Miz! Miz!
The Miz turned- smiling when he saw Renee.
The Miz: Oh hey Renee!
Renee Young: Hi! I was hoping I could get a few words with you regarding your match tomorrow night against Edge.
The Miz got serious and shook his head yes.
The Miz: My thoughts are pretty simple on this Renee- this is a must win for me. I've said it several times over the past 8 years- but I'm not sure I've ever meant it as much as I do right now. I'm The Miz- and I'm an international star both in and out of the ring. I've won countless matches- every title that's worth winning- I've done it all- but this match with Edge is a must win- and I'm going to win it. Edge is a legend in his own right- he's been a household name in the EBWF for a long long time. There aren't many I respect more- but I need this match- I'm going to give Edge my best- my VERY best- and as everyone knows my VERY best is enough to take down even the most talented of opponents.
Renee Young: Don't you feel like you're putting a lot of unneeded pressure on yourself right now? Sure you may be slumping a little bit, but I think everyone knows what kind of career you've had? Why the need to prove yourself?
The Miz: Renee- all I've ever wanted to be is the best wrestler in this company. So if there's ever a time where I feel like I'm not- or that I'm not performing like it- it bothers me. The best competitors always have that fire and fight to prove themselves. It's why I'm still here- it's why Edge is still here. The great ones are NEVER satisfied- and the great ones thrive off the pressure they put on themselves to be the best competitors the game has to offer. Nobody just rolls out of bed and are elite performers- though I've tried to paint that picture of myself over the years.
The Miz smiled thinking of his once over the top brash arrogance.
The Miz: The fact is- it starts with potential- then comes hard work- then comes the building of that fire that you need to get to the top and to stay there. I'm SO glad that Edge is my opponent tomorrow. I know Edge will bring the fight- and that is why WHEN I'm able to beat him tomorrow night- it will be extremely rewarding- and it will knock me right back into focus and right back on track to regain my spot at the top of this company. I'm focused- I'm excited- but most importantly Renee I'm ready. Edge- I'll see you out there buddy- it's going to be one for the ages, and it's going to be a win for The Miz that I not only WANT.. but that I NEED.. and rest assure.. I will get it.
