MATCH ONE

Pyro shot out on the stage as the Salt Lake City crowd went wild for EBWF Warfare. “Obsession” hit and cheers turned to boos as Mickie James came to the ring.

Mauro Ranallo: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to EBWF Warfare. I’m Mauro Ranallo!

Nigel McGuinness: And I’m Nigel McGuinness, and we’re getting things kicked off with women’s wrestling action. Mickie James takes on Becky Lynch.

Mickie was waiting in the ring when "Celtic Invasion" hit and Becky Lynch came to the ring. She looked out over the crowd before going up the steel steps and entering between the ropes.

Mauro Ranallo: Mickie James showed her true colors last week, Nigel.

Nigel McGuinness: Or she was just supporting her husband, Mauro.

Mauro Ranallo: Well, I think her actions were dispicable.

The bell rang. They locked up and Mickie went to work on Becky's left arm. Mickie floated over into a cover for a quick one count. Becky charged after her with a few takedowns. Becky blocked a kick and got another takedown into a bridge pinfall for a two count.

Mauro Ranallo: Becky almost got her there.

Becky followed up with a backslide pinfall for another two count, and Mickie was getting frustrated. Becky pushed Mickie away and Mickie rolled out of the ring for a breather. Becky taunted her, which made her charge back into the ring, and lay in some jabs to Becky's ribs. Becky hit back to back arm drags to get Mickie grounded again. Becky kicked Mickie off the ring apron. Becky jumped out and both connected with a double clothesline on the outside.

Nigel McGuinness: There's an element of physicality in this match I hadn't been been expecting.

Mauro Ranallo: Both women set to gain some momentum here before Queen of the Ring.

The two women battled back into the ring. Mickie got Becky into a headlock. Mickie tossed Becky down by the hair. Mickie tried to come back by locking on another headlock, and throwing knees to the body of Becky. Becky caught Mickie with a leg lariat and a big back kick. Becky turned things around with an overhead suplex on Mickie, and pinned her again for a two count. Mickie tried for an armbar, but Becky rolled her up to counter.

Nigel McGuinness: Fast paced action here!

Mickie hit a flapjack, but missed a shot off the top rope. Becky connected with another overhead suplex for a two count. Becky hit a forearm to the back of Mickie's head. Mickie went flying to the outside and began to favor her right arm and shoulder. She slid back into the ring, but still held onto her arm. The referee moved over her to check on her, calling on Becky to back off. Mickie was really selling the arm, and Becky got close to jaw off to the referee. Mickie moved swiftly to hit a Mick Kick, but Becky ducked it and slammed Mickie down onto the mat, and locked her into the Dis-Arm-Her.

Mauro Ranallo: Mickie tried to get one over on the Lasskicker, but she didn't fall for it.

Mickie had no choice but to tap and 'Celtic Invasion' hit the PA as Becky's arm was raised in victory.

Nigel McGuinness: Both of these women are featured in the Queen of the Ring tournament, and we have to think that Becky is a great contender to win it all.

Mauro Ranallo: The tournament starts next week right here on Warfare!

Becky climbed the turnbuckle and threw her arms up in the air as Warfare went to commercial.

“Stone Pitbull” was playing over the PA as Ishii made his way down to the ring.

Mauro Ranallo: We saw Tomohiro Ishii take on PAC and win last week, and I’d say he’s getting quite the upgrade here tonight.

Nigel McGuinness: He’s taking on the EBWF World Champion Chris Jericho on the main event of Warfare. I’d say so.

Mauro Ranallo: I can’t believe we’re giving this one away for free.

“Judas” hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Chris Jericho came to the stage with the EBWF World Championship perched on his shoulder. He largely ignored the crowd as he headed down the ramp, and got into the ring, giving the belt over to the referee before removing his spiked jacket. He turned to Ishii, and the crowd came alive.
