Darby Allin came to the ring first, followed by Pac, Tomohiro Ishii and finally, Tommaso Ciampa. The four men stood in the four corners of the ring, each looking up at the championship hanging above the ring. Mauro Ranallo: Congratulations to our new Queen of the Ring, Becky Lynch! Up next, we'll find out who will be crowned our 2020 King of the Ring as The Rock takes on Edge!
The camera cut to Christy Hemme, who was standing in the center of the ring.
Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our main event of the evening! The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is the 2020 King of the Ring Final! Introducing first...
Christy Hemme was interrupted by "Judas" blasting over the PA system. The crowd gave a mixed reaction as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage. Jericho was wearing a suit, and had the EBWF World Championship draped over his shoulder. Jericho walked down the ramp, entered the ring and took the microphone from Christy Hemme, then shooed her away. Frowning, Christy Hemme left the ring, and Jericho signalled for his music to be cut.
Chris Jericho: Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow Canadians, the EBWF fans watching all around the world... did you miss me?
The crowd reacted with a mixture of "yes" and "no" chants. Jericho laughed and shrugged.
Chris Jericho: I got some lovers and I got some haters... story of my life. You're probably wondering where I've been the last few weeks, huh? Well, the truth is... I decided to take some time off. I've earned it! I'm the EBWF World Champion, I've beaten pretty much everyone on the roster, and the month of June is a whole tournament to determine who the next number one contender for my title is. So I decided to stay at home, spend some time with my family, and watch the tournament on TV. Hell, I didn't even want to come tonight. But Wes said I had to do something to get my pay-per-view tournament, so I decided I'd come out here and watch the final. And I'm going to watch it from the best seat in the house!
Nigel McGuinness: Is Jericho going to join us on commentary, Mauro?
Mauro Ranallo: I don't think so, Nigel... he's pointing at the throne on the stage!
Chris Jericho: That's right, baby! Because while The Rock or Edge might get the crown tonight... everybody knows that I'm the real King of EBWF!
Grinning, Jericho rolled out of the ring and walked back up the ramp, taking a seat on the throne. "Electrifying" hit and the crowd cheered as The Rock headed to the ring. When The Rock was in the ring, "Metalingus" hit and the crowd continued to cheer as Edge stepped out onto the stage. Edge looked across at Chris Jericho, shook his head, then walked down the ramp and slid into the ring. The Rock pulled Edge to his feet and set him up for a back drop. He lifted Edge up... but Edge landed on his feet behind The Rock, and took him down with a Russian legsweep.

Mauro Ranallo: Edge is in control here! Could he finally win the King of the Ring tournament for the first time in his career?
The camera cut to Jericho, who was applauding Edge and yelling "Go Canada!" Back in the ring, Edge grabbed The Rock by the legs, and locked in the Edgecator! The Rock was able to get to the ropes, and the referee ordered Edge to break the hold. The Rock used the ropes to pull himself up, and Edge ran towards him, going for a clothesline... but The Rock pulled down on the ropes, sending Edge to the outside.
Nigel McGuinness: And just like that, the momentum has swung into The Rock's favour!
The Rock followed Edge to the outside and grabbed him, throwing him into the ring steps. Edge stumbled to his feet looking dazed, and The Rock slammed his head off the ring post, then threw him back into the ring. The Rock climbed back into the ring and set Edge up for the Rock Bottom... but Edge blocked it, and countered with the Edgecution!
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia, what a counter! The momentum in this match is swinging back and forth!
Edge hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... The Rock kicked out just before the 3! Edge looked frustrated, and he pulled The Rock to his feet, setting him up for a piledriver. Both men got to their feet, and Edge set The Rock up for the northern lights suplex... but The Rock countered with a DDT! He hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... Edge kicked out!
Nigel McGuinness: I'm getting dizzy, Mauro! What is it going to take for one of these superstars to get the win?
At the top of the stage, Jericho could be seen making a call on his cellphone. A few moments later, a member of EBWF crew came onto the stage and handed him a glass of vodka with ice. The camera cut back to the ring, where The Rock had whipped Edge into the corner and was hitting him with a series of punches. Edge fell into a sitting position, and The Rock stomped on his chest several times, but Edge rolled out of the ring, giving himself a moment to recover. The Rock followed Edge out of the ring, but Edge grabbed The Rock and slammed his head off the ring apron, then threw him over the announce table! Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness quickly scrambled out of the way, narrowly avoiding getting hit. Edge rolled back into the ring, and yelled at the referee to begin counting.
Mauro Ranallo: Well this match can be won by pinfall, submission, disqualification or countout... I think Edge would be making history if he becomes King of the Ring via countout, Nigel!
As the referee reached the count of 6, The Rock stumbled to his feet. He staggered towards the ring as the referee counted 7, then rolled back into the ring as the referee counted 8. As The Rock got to his feet, Edge went for a Spear... but The Rock moved out of the way! Edge managed to stop himself before he hit the ropes, but as he turned around The Rock lifted him over his shoulders, hitting a Samoan drop. The Rock crouched down, waiting for Edge to get to his feet, and when Edge was up, The Rock hit him with the Rock Bottom! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match... and your NEW King of the Ring... The Rock!
The referee called for the bell, and raised The Rock's arm in victory. The camera cut to Jericho on the throne, who was sarcastically applauding, then back to The Rock. Rocky extended his arm, challenging Jericho to "Just Bring It". Jericho shook his head, then stood up from the throne and held up the World Title, taunting The Rock. The Rock pointed to his waist, signifying to Jericho that he would soon be champion, then continued celebration.
Mauro Ranallo: What a night, thank you so much for joining us... we'll see you next week!
