Mauro Ranallo: Good evening and welcome to Warfare! We are live from Indianapolis, and kicking things off we've got Alexa Bliss versus Becky Lynch!
Alexa Bliss made her way to the ring first, followed by Becky Lynch, who was accompanied by Winter. When both women were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. The two women locked up, and Lynch locked Bliss in a headlock. Bliss fought out of it, shoving Lynch into the ropes, but as Becky bounced back off the ropes, she took Alexa Bliss down with a shoulder block. Lynch stomped on Bliss several times, then applied an armbar. Bliss managed to roll over, and she grabbed Becky's legs, going for the pinfall attempt! The referee counted – 1... 2... Lynch kicked out!
Nigel McGuinness: Alexa Bliss almost caught Becky off guard there!
Both women got to their feet, and Alexa grabbed Becky Lynch, taking her down with an STO. Bliss punched Lynch against the mat several times, then grabbed her by the hair, dragging her to her feet before slamming her head off the turnbuckle. Bliss punched Lynch in the corner several times, but Lynch fought back with some right hands of her own, then whipped Bliss against the ropes. As Bliss ran back towards her, Lynch hit an arm drag, then as Alexa got to her feet, Becky hit a dropkick. Both women got to their feet, and Lynch grabbed Alexa Bliss, hitting her with an exploder suplex! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Bliss kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: Becky Lynch is in control now! An impressive performance by the Irish Lass Kicker.
Becky turned Alexa over and went to lock in the Dis-arm-her... but Alexa rolled away from Becky, then got to her feet and hit a snapmare. Bliss then hit Lynch with the Insault to Injury! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Becky kicked out! Bliss pulled Lynch to her feet and hit a snap DDT, then climbed to the top rope. Alexa went for Twisted Bliss... but Becky got her knees up and blocked it! Becky grabbed Alexa's arm once more, and this time she was able to lock in the Dis-arm-her! Alexa cried out in pain and quickly submitted.
Nigel McGuinness: Just like that, it's over! Amazing how suddenly the momentum can shift, Mauro.
Mauro Ranallo: And speaking of momentum, Nigel... the self-proclaimed "real women's champion" is on a roll right now!
Becky and Winter celebrated as Warfare went to a commercial break.
As Warfare returned from a commercial break, "Stone Pitbull" hit and the crowd cheered as Tomohiro Ishii made his way to the ring for the next match.
Mauro Ranallo: Welcome back! Up next, we've got the Breakout Champion Tomohiro Ishii in action as he goes one on one with the former World Champion, The Miz.
When Ishii was in the ring, "I Came To Play" by Downstait hit and the crowd booed as The Miz headed to the ring. Once Miz was in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Miz immediately rolled out of the ring and began walking around the ring, much to Ishii's frustration. The referee began counting him out.
Nigel McGuinness: The Miz trying to play mind games with Tomohiro Ishii here...
Mauro Ranallo: Either that, or he's afraid of the Stone Pitbull, Nigel!
As the referee reached the count of 5, Tomohiro Ishii exited the ring and went after Miz. Miz ran around the ring and slid back into the ring, then as Tomohiro Ishii climbed onto the ring apron, Miz ran at him and hit a knee smash, knocking Ishii down to the outside. Miz climbed out of the ring and hit Ishii with a series of punches, before throwing him into the steel steps. As Ishii slumped to the ground, Miz rolled back into the ring and told the referee to count Ishii out. The crowd booed, which seemed to amuse Miz. The referee began counting.
Nigel McGuinness: See, Mauro! It's part of a cunning plan by The Miz!
Mauro Ranallo: You say cunning, I say cowardly...
As the referee counted 6, Ishii got to his feet, and slid back into the ring at the count of 7. Miz stomped on Ishii several times, trying to keep him grounded, then as Ishii tried to stand up, Miz hit him with a DDT. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Ishii kicked out! Miz sat Ishii up and applied a sleeper hold, but Ishii fought out of it and got to his feet. Miz hit Ishii with a series of punches, but Ishii fought back with some right hands of his own, then hit Miz with a headbutt. Miz staggered backwards, and Ishii took him down with a lariat. Ishii then hit a running leg drop, before covering Miz. The referee counted – 1... 2... Miz kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: Ishii showing that strong style of his, and you can bet The Miz doesn't like it one bit!
Ishii pulled Miz to his feet and hit him with some more right hands, then whipped him into the corner. Ishii charged towards Miz, hitting him with a corner clothesline, then as Miz staggered out of the corner, Ishii set him up for the vertical drop brainbuster. Ishii lifted Miz up... but Miz landed on his feet behind Ishii and hit an inverted facelock backbreaker, followed by a neckbreaker slam. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Ishii kicked out! Miz looked frustrated at only getting a two count, and he yelled at the referee to count faster. Miz then pulled Ishii to his feet, and went to whip him against the ropes... but Ishii reversed the Irish whip, sending Miz against the ropes, before hitting him with a powerslam! Miz tried to roll out of the ring, but this time Ishii grabbed him. Miz held onto the ropes, and Ishii stomped on him several times. The referee ordered Ishii to take a step back, allowing Miz time to get to his feet. Ishii reluctantly did so, and as Miz used the ropes to pull himself up, Ishii pushed past the referee, charging towards The Miz. Miz reacted quickly, poking Ishii in the eye... but the referee didn’t see it! Miz then turned Ishii around, hitting him with the Skull Crushing Finale! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Nigel McGuinness: It's over! Miz wins!
Mauro Ranallo: He cheated, Nigel! Didn’t you see it?!
Nigel McGuinness: I didn't see anything wrong, Mauro... and more importantly, neither did the referee!
The referee called for the bell and raised Miz's arm in victory. Miz celebrated, then made his way to the back.
Mauro Ranallo: Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve arrived at the Main Event for this week’s edition of Warfare. Jake Hager and Chris Jericho are set to take on Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Elias Samson in tag team action.
Nigel McGuiness: Jericho asked for this match after Chavo and Elias came to the rescue of Aiden English last week.
Mauro Ranallo: It has to be Jericho looking to dismantle Aiden’s support system before Fanniversary.
Nigel McGuiness: It really makes you wonder if these two can focus long enough to take the title off the Rock.
Mauro Ranallo: The war between Aiden English and Chris Jericho is about a lot more than just the EBWF World Title, this is a blood feud.
Nigel McGuiness: And the Rock has to be sitting somewhere smiling at the carnage his challengers are inflicting on one another.
“Moments” by Sevendust started playing. Chavo stepped out onto the entrance ramp. The crowd cheered. When Elias followed him out the reaction mixed. Both men were sporting grey gear with crown motifs. They walked to the ring, Chavo sliding under the bottom rope and Elias using the ropes to get into the ring. They posed in opposite corners. Their entrance faded and “Judas” by Fozzy started playing. Even over the boos spread around the arena, there were fans singing along with the song. Jericho and Hager made their way down to the ring taunting the crowd and their opponents along the way.
Mauro Ranallo: It looks to me like Chavo and Elias aren’t exactly on the same page.
Nigel McGuiness: Aiden brought Elias in to assist him back when he wasn’t the best guy in the company. Then he suddenly got a conscience and brought Chavo to join him. Two different partners for two very different sides of Aiden English.
Mauro Ranallo: They’re going to have to come to terms with that if they have any hope of beating Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.
Inside the ring Chavo and Elias argued who would be starting the match against Hager. Finally, they settled on a game of rock, paper, scissors that left Elias climbing out of the ring and Chavo getting himself fired up for the match. The bell sounded. They locked up in the center of the ring, but Hager quickly took control and swung Chavo down into a side headlock. Chavo backed into the ropes and used leverage to shoot Hager across the ring. Guerrero dropped down and let Hager run over him. He leapt high over Hager’s head on the next pass. On their third meet Chavo hit a massive hip toss. Hager was back on his feet quickly but Chavo pressed him into the corner. Chavo stepped up on the first rope and started to deliver punches. 1.. 2.. 3.. Hager stepped out of the corner carrying Chavo, turned and slammed him back first into it. Hager started a series of punches of his own. 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5.. 6.. 7.. 8.. 9.. he held his fist back, looked out to the crowd and shook his head. He pulled Chavo’s head down and hit a snap suplex out of the corner. Chavo started to drag himself to the corner.
Nigel McGuinness: Chavo’s in real danger here.
Hager grabbed Chavo’s leg and dragged him back to the center of the ring. He rolled him over and locked in a Boston Crab. Chavo screamed. Chavo started to pull himself to the nearest side of the ring. He screamed in pain, his hand wavering over the mat. Elias ran across the ring and kicked Hager in the back of the head. The hold was broken. Elias continued to attack Hager, stomping on his back and neck repeatedly. Finally the referee pushed him back and forced him toward his corner.
Mauro Ranallo: Elias getting himself a little too fired up.
Chavo started to crawl towards the corner. He was half way there when Hager started to move. He inched closer and closer as Hager slowly made his way to his feet. Guerrero put his knees under him, sprung toward the corner and…. Collapsed to the mat. Elias was pulled down just in time to miss the tag by Jericho. Jericho slammed Elias’s head into the corner post, the apron and the steel steps in quick succession.
Nigel McGuinness: Chris Jericho isn’t taking any chances with these two.
Jake Hager pulled Chavo back to his feet and delivered a powerbomb. Back on the apron Jericho called for the tag. Hager pulled Chavo to the corner and tagged Jericho. He held Chavo’s arms open and Chris hit a huge punch to Guerrero’s ribs. Jericho hit a DDT. He ran across the ring and delivered a Lionsault. Jericho went for the cover. 1… 2…
Mauro Ranallo: Chavo Guerrero barely able to kick out of that one!
Nigel McGuinness: You’re right and it’s been all Chavo since the bell rang.
Mauro Ranallo: It doesn’t look like Elias is going to get back into this one anytime soon.
Chris hit the mat and gave the referee a quick lesson on how to count to three. The referee argued by holding up two fingers. Exasperated he lifted Chavo up and whipped him into the corner. Chavo slammed hard into the corner and rolled up it. Jericho ran at him, clasped his neck and hit a neckbreaker. Chris moved quickly for another cover. 1… 2... Chavo kicked out quicker than before. Jericho slammed his hand into the mat and started to pull Chavo back to his feet. He pushed his hands into Chavo’s face and neck and powered him back first into the corner.
Mauro Ranallo: Just bully tactics from the former champion!
Chavo swiped Jericho’s hands away and kicked him in the gut. Chavo hit a forearm to the side of Jericho’s head. Jericho stumbled backwards out of the corner. He turned and started toward Hager in the corner. Chavo took a moment to catch his breath in the corner.
Nigel McGuinness: Chavo mounted a short comeback but can he hold up if Hager gets back into this match?
Jericho tagged Hager and climbed out of the ring. Hager went under the top rope and locked eyes with Guerrero. The two men rushed to meet each other in the center of the ring. Chavo ducked a wild lariat attempt and dove at the corner hitting Chris Jericho with a forearm that knocked him off the apron. The crowd cheered. Chavo swung around and hit an incoming Hager with a drop toe hold that drove his head into the second turnbuckle. Chavo pulled Hager to his feet and wasted no time putting him back on the mat with a power slam. Chavo jumped up on the top rope and back off hitting a FROG SPLASH on Jake Hager.
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma mia! What a comeback from Chavo Guerrero Junior!
Chavo hooked the leg. 1… 2… Jake Hager kicked out to a loud boo from the crowd. Chavo just laid there stunned and tired. Jericho was back on the apron calling for the tag, leaning in with his hand stretched out. Hager managed to roll and make the tag. Jericho and Chavo locked up in the center of the ring. Chavo took control and whipped Jericho into the ropes. Chavo was looking for a clothesline but Jericho spun at the last moment and hit…
Nigel McGuinness: JUDAS EFFECT!
Chavo crumbled to the mat and Jericho dropped back first onto him for the pin. 1… 2… 3!!
Mauro Ranallo: Jericho able to secure the pin off the HUGE Judas Effect.
Nigel McGuinness: That move can change a match in a heartbeat.
Hager climbed back into the ring and pulled Jericho to his feet. They started toward the ring but Jericho yelled to “wait”. Jericho pointed toward Chavo and Hager nodded. Hager grabbed Chavo by the head and pulled him to his feet. He set him up for the double powerbomb, lifting him in the air. The lighting shifted slightly to a silver tone. “Moments” by Sevendust started playing and Aiden English stepped out onto the entrance ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: Aiden here to return the favor Chavo and Elias showed him last week.
Hager dropped Chavo back to the mat and turned to look at the entrance ramp. Jericho walked up to the ropes and started calling Aiden down to the ring. Aiden paced at the top of the ramp like a caged animal. Jericho leaned over the top rope and continued to call for Aiden to come down to the ring. The crowd cheered as Raquel Diaz slid into the ring behind Hager and Jericho. Hager was shocked when Diaz hit a low blow from behind. He doubled over and hit the mat hard. Jericho turned to see what had happened and in that moment Aiden started his sprint toward the ring. Jericho slid out to the outside before Aiden could slide into the ring. Aiden rushed and kicked the ropes just where Jericho made his escape.
Nigel McGuinness: Aiden’s wife is back! Raquel Diaz is back in the EBWF!!!
Raquel checked on Chavo while Aiden picked Hager up off the mat. English hit a Director’s Cut on Jake Hager to a cheer from the crowd. Hager rolled out of the ring and Jericho rushed to check on him. Chavo made his way to his feet and Elias rolled under the bottom rope. They formed up as a group with Aiden and Raquel in the center. Chris Jericho and Jake Hager made their way up the ramp. Inside the ring Aiden pulled Raquel a bit closer and pointed to the camera. Warfare went off the air.
