Backstage, Charly Caruso was standing in front of the camera, mic in hand.

Charly Caruso: We're only hours away from the premier EBWF spectacular, Fanniversary! Tonight, Aiden English and Chris Jericho will battle the Rock in a triple threat match for the EBWF World Championship. But looming over that match is the specter of the Gateway Champion, Randy Orton. At any time, Randy could stake his claim in a match for the World Championship, but he has to successfully defend the Gateway Championship tonight against Tomohiro Ishii.

As Charly was giving her intro to the camera, the door quietly opened behind her and Randy Orton peered out and looked at her. He glanced at the camera and shrugged, stepping out from behind the door and standing behind her quietly.

Charly Caruso: I'm currently waiting on Randy Orton to arrive here so I can speak to him about his thoughts on the--

She turned around and yelped in surprise when Randy was standing next to her without her noticing. He smirked.

Randy Orton: Heard you were talking about me.

Charly Caruso: Uh, well hi there Randy. I was just hoping to talk to you about your match tonight against...

Randy Orton: Tomohiro Ishii?

Charly Caruso: So, you're not going to do the thing where you say a bunch of random words that sounds like his name?

Randy Orton: That would be really childish, Chuck. Think outside the box.

Charly Caruso: You literally did that the last time you faced him.

Randy Orton: And what was the result of that match?

Charly Caruso: You were victorious.

Randy Orton: And why does he have another match?

Charly Caruso: Well, ostensibly, because he earned it.

Randy Orton: Ah, okay. And what am I doing here?

Charly Caruso: You're about to tell me how great you are and how you're going to win this match.

Randy Orton: Please don't stan me, Charly. You're a journalist. Act like it.

Charly rolled her eyes at his response to her obvious sarcasm.

Charly Caruso: What is your plan in your second match with Tomohiro?

Randy Orton: Gotta be honest with you, Chuck. Tomohiro doesn't strike me as a guy that does a lot of evolving from his strategy. I beat him once, I'll beat him again. The best stars in the EBWF evolve and grow. I've done that, Chris Jericho has done that, Aiden English has done that. The Rock hasn't evolved since the nineties, but Wes Ikeda is an idiot so it's not surprising that the "people's champ" is actually the champ in 2020.

Charly Caruso: So you're going in without a strategy?

Randy Orton: I didn't have a strategy last time, I don't have one now. Tomohiro will tell me what his weaknesses are in the ring. That's how this works, Chuck. The plan is the same as it always in. I step in the ring, I let him make the mistakes, and I strike. Don't worry Chuck, before you know it Tomohiro's aspirations of being a champion in EBWF will go up in flames with the fastest RKO you've ever seen.

Randy gave her a wink and walked back into his locker room, closing the door behind him as the scene faded.
