MATCH ONE

Nigel McGuinness: What a way to start Fanniversary!

Mauro Ranallo: We are celebrating 19 years of EBWF, and we're getting things started with Women's Tag Team action!

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were first out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Boos rained down as Becky and Winter came to the ring.

Nigel McGuinness: Becky is still on her quest for the women's championship, and Trish Stratus has been mum.

Mauro Ranallo: Trish retained at Summerslam. Why would Becky think she can still lay claim to the Women's Championship?

The bell rang.

Nikki and Winter started things off and Winter hit a suplex for a near fall. Winter sent Nikki to the floor and Winter hit a drop kick through the corner. Becky hit a forearm off the apron to Alexa.

Nigel McGuinness: Becky seeing an opportunity there.

Nikki managed a tag, and Alexa charged into the ring with a front face lock on Winter. Alexa hit a suplex for a near fall. Alexa put on a reverse chin lock. Alexa ran Winter into the corner and Alexa sent Winter into Nikki’s boots. Nikki came in and she put Winter in the tree of woe. Nikki hit a kick and running head butt to the midsection. Winter got a hot shot to Nikki on the turnbuckles. Nikki countered with a shoulder tackle to send Winter to the floor. Nikki brought Winter back into the ring near her corner and she tagged Alexa in. Nikki hit a splash and Alexa followed up with a slap for a near fall. Nikki got a snap mare and she kept Winter from making the tag.

Nikki got a knee to Winter and she knocked Becky off the apron. The referee dealt with Becky while Nikki and Alexa double teamed Winter. Alexa tagged in and Winter with an elbow to Nikki and a forearm to Alexa. Winter sent Alexa to the floor and then she hit a cutter in the ropes on Nikki. Alexa prevented the tag from being made. Alexa kicked Becky’s hand away but Winter got a rollup for a near fall. Becky tagged in and connected with clotheslines and knees to Alexa.

Mauro Ranallo: Becky is fired up here!

Becky landed a back heel kick and flying shoulder tackle. Becky laid in kicks to Alexa and then Becky hit a leg drop from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Nikki sent Becky to the apron and Becky laid kicks to Nikki. Becky hit the Bexploder, and went for the pin.

Mauro Ranallo: Whatever you say about Becky, she is racking up the victories!

Nigel McGuinness: A victory for Becky and Winter here tonight.

MATCH TWO

Mauro Ranallo: Still to come, The Rock defends the World Title in a triple threat match against two former champions, Chris Jericho and Aiden English. Up first though, Randy Orton defends the Gateway Championship against the Breakout Champion, Tomohiro Ishii!

Nigel McGuinness: Tomohiro Ishii actually beat Randy Orton the last time they met... if he can do so again tonight, he'll be a double champion!

"Stone Pitbull" hit and the crowd cheered as Tomohiro Ishii made his way to the ring. When Ishii was in the ring, "Counting Bodies Like Sheep" hit and Randy Orton came out next to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Once Orton was in the ring, Christy Hemme introduced both superstars, then the referee called for the bell. The two men locked up, and Ishii applied a headlock. Orton fought out of it and whipped Ishii against the ropes, then took him down with a big boot. As Ishii got back to his feet, Orton hit him with a series of punches, then whipped him into the corner. Orton charged towards Ishii, going for a clothesline, but Ishii moved out of the way at the last second, and Orton collided with the turnbuckles! As Orton staggered backwards, Ishii grabbed him, hitting a German suplex! Orton's shoulders were down, and the referee counted – 1... 2... Orton kicked out! Both men got to their feet, and Ishii hit Orton with a series of chops to the chest, then hit him with a headbutt! Orton staggered backwards, then smirked, and hit Ishii with a stiff right hand! Ishii responded with a right hand of his own, and the two men exchanged punches back and forth. Orton gained the upper hand, then kicked Ishii in the midsection and lifted him up, hitting a gutwrench elevated neckbreaker.
He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Ishii kicked out!

Mauro Ranallo: Both men showing how aggressive they can be in the early stages of this match!

Orton pulled Ishii to his feet and set him up for a T-bone suplex, but Ishii fought out of it and whipped Orton onto the corner, then charged towards him and hit a lariat. Orton fell into a sitting position, and Ishii stomped on him multiple times, then pulled him to his feet and hit a powerbomb. He hooked both legs and the referee counted – 1... 2... Orton kicked out!

Nigel McGuinness: Another near call! Ishii was less than a second away from becoming the Gateway Champion!

Ishii pulled Orton to his feet and hit him with some more right hands, then set him up for a DDT. Before he could hit it, Orton broke free and hit Ishii with a European uppercut. As Ishii staggered backwards, Orton hit him with a kick to the chest, knocking him against the ropes, then hit him with a clothesline, sending him over the top rope to the outside. Orton followed Ishii to the outside and grabbed him, hitting a DDT onto the ramp. Orton rolled back into the ring and told the referee to count Ishii out. The referee began counting – 1... 2... 3... 4... as the referee counted 5, Ishii began to get to his feet, and he rolled back into the ring as the referee counted 6. Orton grabbed Ishii and went to whip him against the ropes, but Ishii reversed it, sending Orton against the ropes. As Orton ran back towards him, Ishii went for a clothesline... but Orton ducked out of the way, then hit Ishii with an inverted headlock backbreaker! Orton began pounding the mat, and as Ishii got to his feet, Orton grabbed him, hitting the RKO! He hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!

Mauro Ranallo: It's over! A solid effort from Tomohiro Ishii, but Randy Orton retains the title!

The referee handed the title to Orton and raised his arm in victory. Orton held the title up triumphantly, then made his way to the back.

MATCH THREE

The unfamiliar sounds of “Kingdom” by All Good Things started to play. The crowd let out a somewhat confused and mixed reaction. The lights in the Enterprise Center dimmed.

Mauro Ranallo: We’re set for our Main Event, but I’m not sure what’s going on.

Three figures in different colored cloaks walked out onto the entrance ramp and took a knee with several feet in between each of them. Raquel Diaz emerged from the back with a tight silver dress on. She walked directly down to the figure in the center and took hold of the back of its hood.

Nigel McGuinness: With Raquel Diaz out here, this must be Aiden and crew.

The music crescendoed into the first spoken lines of the song. “This is our Kingdom!” Raquel ripped the cloak back and Aiden English jumped to his feet. His ring gear consisted of a pair of pants made to match Raquel’s dress. He posed at the top of the ramp as the song continued to play. “This is our castle!” The man on the right threw his cloak off and stood up to reveal Elias Samson. “This is our house!” Finally, Chavo followed suit and threw off his cloak. They converged at the top of the ramp and posed. Raquel stood in front of Aiden with Chavo on their left and Elias on their right. Aiden shook hands with Elias and Chavo and they walked back up the stage and to the back. Aiden kissed Raquel and they continued to the ring.

Mauro Ranallo: I don’t know what to make of this but Aiden is sending Elias and Chavo to the back.

Nigel McGuinness: With Jake Hager looming in the wings, you have to think that’s a bad idea.

Mauro Ranallo: Absolutely.

Aiden slid into the ring and quickly parted the ropes for Raquel who had taken the time to walk up the steps. Once she was in the ring Aiden rushed across the ring and put his foot up on the bottom rope to pose. The music faded out. "Judas" by Fozzy began to play and the crowd sang along as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage, accompanied by Jake Hager.

Mauro Ranallo: And here comes Chris Jericho, who will be celebrating his 50th birthday in just over a week's time. Can the 11-time EBWF World Champion start his celebrations early with an unprecedented 12th World Title?

Jericho walked down the ramp and entered the ring, while Hager stood by at ringside. "Electrifying" hit and Jericho, Hager and English turned to face the ramp as The Rock made his way to the ring.

Nigel McGuinness: The Rock defeated Chris Jericho at Summerslam to win the EBWF World Championship for the first time. Jake Hager was banned from ringside for that match... but this is a triple threat match, which means anything goes!

Mauro Ranallo: Not only that Nigel, The Rock can lose the title without being pinned or submitted. The Great One will have to be at his greatest to retain the gold here tonight.

Once The Rock was in the ring, Christy Hemme introduced all three competitors. The referee held up the World Title, handed it to one of the officials at ringside, then called for the bell. The Rock, Jericho and English all stared at one another, waiting to see who would make the first move. Jericho locked eyes with English, then pointed to The Rock.

Nigel McGuinness: It looks like Jericho is trying to form an alliance with Aiden English here! It's a good strategy for a triple threat match... work together to take out one of your opponents, then it effectively becomes a one on one match.

English nodded, and Jericho smirked. The Rock seemed unfazed, and challenged both men to "Just Bring It". Jericho began charging towards The Rock... but English charged towards Jericho instead, hitting him with a forearm smash! The force of the blow knocked Jericho down to the mat, and English continued to pummel Jericho as The Rock watched on, looking amused.

Mauro Ranallo: Aiden English tricked Jericho!

Nigel McGuinness: Well we know there is no love lost between Jericho and English, Mauro. Jericho almost ended Aiden's career!

Jake Hager climbed into the ring to come to Jericho's aid, and he hit Aiden English with a series of punches, then hit him with a belly-to-belly suplex. As Hager got to his feet, The Rock grabbed him, throwing him out of the ring, then turned his attention to Chris Jericho, who was slumped in the corner. The Rock grabbed Jericho, pulled him to his feet and hit him with a series of right hands, then whipped him across the ring to the opposite corner. The Rock charged towards Jericho, going for a corner clothesline, but Jericho got his knees up and blocked it, then took The Rock down with a bulldog. Jericho signalled for the Lionsault, but before he could hit it, Aiden English grabbed him, lifting him up and hitting a fireman carry spinebuster. English threw The Rock out of the ring, then hit Jericho with a leaping leg drop and hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... Jericho kicked out!

Mauro Ranallo: Once again, Aiden English focuses on taking out Chris Jericho rather than The Rock!

Nigel McGuinness: Aiden English lost the World Title to Jericho at Wrestlemania, maybe he wants to reclaim it from Jericho. After all, he's had to wait seven long months to get his rematch because of the injuries he suffered at the hands of Chris Jericho!

English pulled Jericho to his feet and dragged him towards the corner, then slammed his head off the top turnbuckle. English punched and kicked Jericho in the corner several times, then sat him on the top rope. English climbed the ropes, before hitting Jericho with a superplex!

Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia! That shook the ring!

With English and Jericho both down, the camera cut to the ringside area, where Jake Hager and The Rock were exchanging punches. Just as it looked like The Rock was gaining the upper hand, Hager caught him off guard with a knee to the midsection, then threw him into the ringside barrier. Hager kicked The Rock against the barrier several times, then pulled him to his feet. The Rock was still dazed, and Hager took several times back before charging towards The Rock, going for a Spear... but The Rock moved out of the way at the last second, and Hager went through the barrier!

Nigel McGuinness: Hager landing hard on the concrete... that might be the last we see of him in this match, Mauro!

Mauro Ranallo: That's good, because he shouldn't even be involved in this match!

With Hager taken care of, The Rock re-entered the ring, where Aiden English had just covered Jericho for another two count. As English got to his feet, The Rock grabbed him and hit him with a series of punches, then whipped him against the ropes. As English ran back towards him, The Rock hit a Samoan drop, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... English kicked out! The Rock got to his feet and stomped on English several times, then locked him in the sharpshooter! English tried to get to the ropes, but The Rock dragged him back towards the center of the ring. English looked to be in a lot of pain, but Jericho attacked The Rock, forcing him to break the hold! As Jericho punched The Rock against the mat, English rolled out of the ring, giving himself time to recover. Meanwhile in the ring, Jericho dragged The Rock to his feet and set him up for a double underhook powerbomb, but The Rock blocked it and counted with a back body drop. As Jericho got to his feet, The Rock hit him with a series of punches, then hit him with a snap DDT. Jericho looked dazed as he got to his feet, and The Rock went for the Rock Bottom... but Jericho blocked it and whipped The Rock against the ropes, before hitting the Judas Effect! He hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... English broke the count! English grabbed Jericho and threw him towards the corner, driving him shoulder first into the ring post, then covered The Rock. The referee counted – 1... 2... The Rock kicked out just before the 3!

Mauro Ranallo: English tried to steal the victory, but it's going to take more than that to put The Rock away!

English pulled The Rock to his feet and hit a swinging neckbreaker, then climbed to the top rope. English went to hit That's A Wrap... but The Rock rolled out of the way! As English got to his feet, The Rock grabbed him and hit the Rock Bottom! He hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... just as the referee was about to count the 3, Jake Hager pulled The Rock out of the ring! The crowd booed as Jake Hager pummelled the Rock at ringside!

Nigel McGuinness: Jake Hager might have just stopped The Rock from retaining the title! You have to wonder if English regrets sending Chavo and Elias to the back... he could use their help right about now!

As Hager and The Rock fought on the ramp, back in the ring Chris Jericho had just gotten to his feet. English was still down, but he was beginning to stir, and Jericho stomped on English several times, trying to keep him grounded. Jericho then grabbed Hager by the legs, and went to put him in the Walls of Jericho... but English kicked him away and got to his feet. When English was back on his feet, Jericho charged towards him, going for the Judas Effect... but English ducked out of the way! He grabbed Jericho from behind, locking in the cobra clutch before lifting him up and hitting the Director's Cut! As English hooked the leg, The Rock hit Hager with a DDT onto the ramp, then ran back towards the ring. The referee counted – 1... 2... 3! The Rock slid back into the ring just as the referee counted 3, and English quickly rolled out of the ring as the referee called for the bell.

Christy Hemme: Your winner, and the NEWWWWWWW EBWF World Champion... Aidennnn English!

Mauro Ranallo: The Rock was just a second too late there! If it hadn't been for Jake Hager, he would still be champion.

Nigel McGuinness: What a moment this is for Aiden English though, Mauro! He didn't need any help. If EBWF is Aiden's Kingdom, now he has the crown jewel!

English walked around the ring and stood at the bottom of the ramp, looking ecstatic as he held up the World Title. Chavo Guerrero, Elias Samson and Raquel Diaz joined English, and Chavo and Elias lifted him up, making a throne out of their shoulders. As the quartet walked up the ramp, the camera cut to The Rock in the ring, who was glaring at Jericho. As Jericho tried to get to his feet, The Rock began pummelling him! The referee tried to intervene, but The Rock shoved him away, then pushed over a cameraman who was in the ring filming. As the show cut to another camera, The Rock exited the ring and grabbed a steel chair. He hit Jericho with the chair several times, then as Jake Hager tried to come to Jericho's aid, The Rock hit him with the chair too.

Mauro Ranallo: I can't believe what I'm seeing here, Nigel! The Rock has lost it!

Nigel McGuinness: Clearly the World Title meant a lot to him, but that doesn't excuse his actions Mauro. I suspect he'll have to pay a significant fine for putting his hands on an official and a cameraman... they were just doing their jobs.

Several referees and road agents rushed to the ring, and they were able to force The Rock away from Jericho. The Rock reluctantly exited the ring, but he walked around the ring he grabbed the announce table, flipping it over! Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness retreated in case The Rock went for them, and Fanniversary abruptly went off the air with a fade to black.
