Mauro Ranallo: Good evening and welcome to Warfare! Tonight, we are live from Minnesota, and kicking things off we've got tag team action!
"The Heat Goes On" by Asia hit and the crowd cheered as Luchasaurus and Paul London made their way to the ring. London was riding on Luchasaurus' shoulders, and as the two men (or one man and a dinosaur in kayfabe terms) reached the bottom of the ramp, Luchasaurus placed London on the ring apron, then slid into the ring. As London entered the ring, "Psycho Killer" by Talking Heads hit and the crowd booed as Tommaso Ciampa stepped out onto the stage. Ciampa smirked as he walked down the ramp, and upon entering the ring he leaned against the ropes, as if to signify that he was unfazed at the prospect of taking on Luchasaurus and Paul London. "Stone Pitbull" hit and the crowd cheered as Tomohiro Ishii headed to the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: And here comes the Breakout Champion Tomohiro Ishii, who unsuccessfully challenged Randy Orton for the Gateway Championship at Fanniversary. Can the Stone Pitbull return to winning ways tonight?
Mauro Ranallo: That might depend on whether he can form an effective team with Tommaso Ciampa, Nigel. Ciampa is something of a rival... we know he's keen to get his hands on that Breakout Title!
Once Ishii was in the ring, he nodded towards Ciampa, then climbed onto the ring apron, allowing Ciampa to start the match. Across the match, London pointed to Luchasaurus, then exited the ring. The referee called for the bell, and Ciampa locked up with Luchasaurus. Ciampa tried to put Luchasaurus in a hammerlock, but Luchasaurus powered out of it, then turned around and hit Ciampa with a series of punches. Luchasaurus then whipped Ciampa against the ropes, before hitting a lariat. Ciampa looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Luchasaurus lifted him up, hitting a Death Valley Driver! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Ciampa kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: Impressive power there from Luchasaurus! He dominated Tommaso Ciampa!
Nigel McGuinness: Well what do you expect, Mauro? He's part dinosaur!
Luchasaurus pulled Ciampa to his feet and hit him with some more right hands, then dragged him towards the corner and slammed his head off the turnbuckle. Luchasaurus then tagged in Paul London, before lifting Ciampa up onto his shoulders. London climbed to the top rope, and hit Ciampa with a crossbody... as he did so, Luchasaurus fell backwards, combining with London to hit Ciampa with a crossbody / reverse powerbomb!
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia! That shook the ring!
As Luchasaurus made his way back towards the corner. London made the cover. The referee counted – 1... 2... Ishii interrupted the count! Luchasaurus was still in the ring and he turned around, charging towards Ishii and going for a big boot. Ishii ducked out of the way, then grabbed Luchasaurus, setting him up for a German suplex! Before he could hit it, Paul London hit Ishii with a dropkick. Ishii then turned around and hit London with a headbutt! London staggered backwards, and Tommaso Ciampa rolled him up! The referee didn't make the count as he was busy trying to get Luchasaurus and Ishii out of the ring! Once he had done so, the referee turned around, but London was back on his feet. Ciampa looked frustrated, and he hit London with a series of stiff right hands before lifting him over his shoulder and hitting a back-to-belly piledriver. He made the cover once more and this time the referee counted – 1... 2... London kicked out! Ciampa hit London with a knee drop, then walked to the corner and tagged in Tomohiro Ishii. He made the tag by slapping Ishii hard on the shoulder, as if to show his frustration.
Nigel McGuinness: Tensions beginning to boil over here between Ciampa and Ishii...
Ishii glared at Ciampa as he entered the ring, and Ciampa stared right back at him. Ishii pointed at Ciampa as if he was giving him a warning, then turned his attention to Paul London, who was back on his feet. Ishii charged towards London, going for a lariat, but London ducked out of the way, then hit Ishii with a neckbreaker! Luchasaurus called for the tag, and London tagged him in. Luchasaurus climbed over the ropes and walked towards Ishii, towering over him. Ishii looked up at Luchasaurus, then the two men exchanged punches back and forth. Luchasaurus was able to overpower Ishii, and he whipped him against the ropes, then went for a high knee... but Ishii ducked out of the way, then got behind Luchasaurus and hit him with a German suplex!
Mauro Ranallo: Impressive strength from Ishii to hit Luchasaurus with that suplex!
As Ishii got to his feet, he signalled for the vertical drop brainbuster, but Tommaso Ciampa slapped him on the back, tagging himself back in. Ishii glared at him, then reluctantly exited the ring. As Luchasaurus got to his feet, Ciampa grabbed him, going for Project Ciampa... but Luchasaurus blocked it and countered with a back body drop! As Ciampa got to his feet, Luchasaurus grabbed him, hitting the Land Before Time! He then tagged in Paul London, who climbed to the top rope. London went for the 450 Splash... but Ciampa got his knees up and blocked it! As London clutched his ribs, Ciampa pulled him to his feet and whipped him into his team's corner. Ciampa then charged towards London, going for a high knee... but London moved out of the way at the last second, and Ciampa accidentally hit Ishii instead! Ishii fell to the outside, but Ciampa didn't seem to care. He shrugged, then turned back to face Paul London. London grabbed Ciampa and set him up for a northern lights suplex, but Ciampa blocked it and countered with a DDT. As Ciampa got to his feet, Tomohiro Ishii was in the ring. Ciampa turned around to face him... and Ishii hit him with a headbutt! Ciampa was momentarily dazed, and Ishii lifted him up, hitting the vertical drop brainbuster! Ishii then rolled out of the ring and grabbed the Breakout Title, before heading up the ramp.
Nigel McGuinness: Tomohiro Ishii has had enough of Tommaso Ciampa, and now Ciampa is in a handicap match!
London was still feeling the effects of Ciampa's DDT, and he wearily placed an arm over Ciampa, making the cover. The referee counted – 1... 2... Ciampa kicked out just before the 3. Luchasaurus called for the tag, and London crawled towards the corner, tagging him in. As Luchasaurus entered the ring, Ciampa was back on his feet, but Luchasaurus quickly grabbed him, hitting a Chokeslam! Luchasaurus followed it up with a standing moonsault, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Mauro Ranallo: It's over! Luchasaurus and Paul London get the victory!
Luchasaurus and London celebrated as Warfare went to commercial.
When Warfare came back from commercial Renee Young stood in center frame. She was wearing a yellow dress and had a serious look on her face.
Renee Young: Ladies and Gentlemen- my guest at this time- former EBWF Champion- The Rock..
The camera panned to The Rock who was in a "Team Bring It" tank top and black and white track pants. He looked energetic almost to the point where it looked as though he was going to start doing push ups right there in the lobby. His head cocked to the side at Renee on her words "Former EBWF Champion" he looked troubled by them. He quickly regained his focus- but surprisingly let Renee speak again before he started.
Renee Young: Rock the question on everybody's mind right now is two-fold. One- how are you feeling after losing your EBWF Championship last night to Aiden English? And of course two- what are your feelings the day after- you quite frankly lost it on anyone and everything at the matches conclusi...
That was all Rock was going to hear. He put his hand up and a 'Rocky' chant started from the crowd. He could not have looked anymore intense than he did in that moment.
The Rock: The Rock is just going to stop you right there Renee. He's going to stop you because the words in the questions you just asked The Rock- are troubling to say the least. Does The Rock have the EBWF Championship in his possession right now? No The Rock doesn't have the EBWF Championship in his possession right now. Did The Rock win the match? No he didn't win the match.. but did The Rock LOSE the match.. no he absolutely did not. Now Renee, The Rock has been in this business long enough- he's a man- and he understands the rules of a triple threat match. He understands the disadvantage the champion is in, in these types of matches, he understands that The Rock is only as good as that "cookie monster melvin" Chris Jericho, and he understands that because DESPITE Jake Hager trying to do everything he can to help Chris win- Chris STILL lost- and because CHRIS lost- The Rock.. technically lost as well. So quite simply to answer your question- The Rock.. well The Rock is still pretty pissed off, Renee.. however The Rock.. is still here.. and that's the worst news possible for Aiden English.
Renee Young: Right- but your reaction after the fact wasn't like you- you were aggressive and taking your frustration out on everyone in your path.
The Rock smiled.
The Rock: You don't think The Rock is aggressive, Renee?
Renee Young: Well not like this.
The Rock's smile turned back into an aggressive gaze.
The Rock: Renee what you're failing to realize is just how much the EBWF Championship, means to The Rock. You see The Rock has said it all, been through it all, DONE IT ALL- but the one thing that alluded The Rock in this business for so many years- was the EBWF Title. The Rock scratched, clawed, bled, sweat, and FINALLY he won King of the Ring- and then turned around and won the EBWF Championship. So for The Rock to lose the title- in that fashion- The Rock admits- he lost his mind for a second... but that's NOTHING.. AND THE ROCK MEANS...
Crowd: NOTHING!
The Rock: Compared to what The Rock is prepared to do- to get the title back! You see The Rock is going to have his rematch- and when he does Renee- when Aiden English is forced to go ONE.. ON.. ONE.. WITH THE GREAT ONE. There will be no Jake Hager, pulling The Rock out of the ring after.. WHAM.. hitting The Rock bottom. There will be no Chris Jericho to be a blubber guts baby back bitch- to lose the match, preventing The Rock from winning it. It will simply just be The Rock- Aiden English- one on one- and there will only be one man that will walk away from that match unscathed, unharmed, unphased, but more importantly the EBWF CHAMPION.. and that one man.. Renee.... is The Rock.
Renee went to say something else, but The Rock would have none of it.
The Rock: IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL- WHAT THE ROCK- IS COOKIN'.
The Rock aggressively cocked his eyebrow and the crowd was going nuts. Renee stood in the frame nodding at The Rock's comment, as the scene cut back to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Well we've heard from the former World Champion, The Rock... we'll here from the NEW World Champion Aiden English after the break!
Warfare came back from commercial with Raquel Diaz standing in the center of the ring with a microphone. She received a mixed reaction from the crowd in the Target Center. Her gold pants had little flecks of glitter reflecting the lighting in every direction.
Mauro Ranallo: Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to Warfare. We have Raquel Diaz in the ring which means you have to assume the new EBWF World Champion isn’t far behind.
Nigel McGuinness: Well I’m interested in what Aiden has to say after the events of Fanniversary.
Raquel had been at the ropes hyping the crowd. She walked to the center of the ring and held the mic up above her head. The mixed reaction skewed toward cheers. Raquel nodded.
Raquel Diaz: What a crowd! Minneapolis!
The crowd popped for the cheap callout.
Raquel Diaz: Please welcome to the ring YOUR new EBWF World Heavyweight Champion, the Drama King, AIDEN ENGLISH!
“Kingdom” by All Good Things started to play over the arena. Aiden English walked to the center of the ramp wearing a long cape, a crown and holding a scepter in his hands. He lowered his head and took in the reaction of the crowd. “THIS IS OUR KINGDOM!” Aiden threw his head back and opened the cape up wide to reveal the EBWF World Championship strapped around his waist. His arms stayed open in an invitation to view the title. “THIS IS OUR CASTLE!” Aiden started making his way down to the ring. He walked up the metal stairs, threw his leg over the second rope and paused to look at the crowd. After a moment he finished getting in the ring and joined Raquel at the center. She removed the cape from around his neck and walked it to the corner with the scepter. Aiden kissed her on the cheek. Raquel held the mic out to him and he took it. She clapped.
Aiden English: The People’s Champion has been dethroned and the KING… has returned! The scar on the face of EBWF has been lifted, the hyenas have been banished to the back office and the rains return to the fertile plains of EBWF. The drought has ended Universe. And oh boy, when it rains does it pour!
Aiden gave his words time to sink in.
Aiden English: My first act as champion has been to go to the back and ask Wes Ikeda about the wellbeing of others in this industry. It’s been to talk about the level of competition in two divisions that DESERVE better than what they’re getting. To bring GREAT wrestling back to the EBWF the way I brought it back to the World Championship! To that end, let me introduce two of my closest friends and allies.
Aiden jumped up on the bottom rope and held his hand out toward the entrance ramp.
Aiden English: EBWF Universe please welcome the future of YOUR tag team division, Elias Samson and Chavo Guerrero Junior, The Knights of Order!
“Kingdom” started to play again. Elias and Chavo walked out onto the ramp with swords in their hands. Chavo was wearing a black and red cape and gear. Elias was wearing black and blue gear that otherwise matched. There was a Crown logo with tKO written under it on their trunks and capes. The knelt at the top of the ramp in a very crusader pose on either side. When the lyrics of the song picked up they dropped the swords and made their way down to the ring. Chavo slid under the bottom rope and met Aiden and Raquel in the center of the ring. Elias took his time walking up the stairs.
Aiden English: It has been too long since this company has seen truly GOOD tag team wrestling and Kingdom aims to remedy that. The technical ability of Chavo Guerrero combined with the raw power of Elias Samson is going to make these two men UNSTOPPABLE! But we’re not done. Not by a long shot. There’s another title that deserves a bit of a shakeup.
Raquel walked past Aiden and took the mic from him. He laughed.
Raquel Diaz: It’s been since 2019 that the Women’s division in EBWF has seen anything near to the respect it deserves! I’ve sat at home watching what passes for a Diva holding or challenging for a title that none of them have any right to claim! I will watch no more! Trish! Chica, you haven’t had a real challenge in that ring for a very very very long time. That’s all about to change amiga, because Kingdom isn’t going to settle for dominating the male half of this industry! I’m coming to reclaim my crown. And I won’t be denied BITCH!
The crowd popped for the simple vulgarity and Aiden wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her in close. Elias and Chavo flanked them on either side as the EBWF logo appeared at the bottom of the screen and the show went off air.
