Warfare Begins

Post by Billy »

((I'm so sorry everyone, I had a much better RP typed out and sitting on my work computer. Then two people called in and posting slipped my mind. So, you got this spotty little rush job. I wanted to make sure I was getting something in no matter what.))

"Kingdom" by All Good Things started to play and the crowd in attendance cheered. After several moments Raquel Diaz emerged from the curtain dressed in black ring gear with gold studs and accents. She stepped down to the start of the ramp and posed with her arms spread wide in a "T". She sprinted to the ring and slid under the bottom rope. Immediately she jumped to her feet and rushed to the nearest corner. Raquel jumped up on the second rope and pounded on her chest several times. She crossed the ring and jumped up on the opposite ring post. This time she pointed at the local talent hired to do the job for her tonight. With both women in the ring, the match was underway. The live crowed was treated to a greatest hits of Raquel's father, Eddie Guerrero. She hit a dropkick into the corner, brought it out with a bulldog, then finished the rally with a Three Amigos in the center of the ring. The crowd popped. She jumped up on the top rope, looked around at the cheering crowd and dove off hitting a massive Frog Splash. She hooked the leg. 1... 2... 3! Raquel pulled her opponent off the mat and set her up for a Gory Bomb. The referee pleaded with Raquel to put her down. Diaz looked out at the crowd again, this time they were starting to turn. She planted the local wrestler with the Gory Bomb. Wasting no time, she rolled the defeated woman out of the ring and started calling for the microphone. She ripped it out of the production assistant's hands and waved him back off the apron. The crowd booed loudly for the display of disrespect. Raquel smiled at the boos.

Raquel Diaz: EXCUSE ME!!!!

She let out a wicked grin. One she wore constantly during the "dark Aiden" saga. This wasn't a reformed Diaz, it was Raquel at her worst.

Raquel Diaz: Shut up idiotas! You paid to see me, to listen to me so shut up and listen! At Fanniversary the first goal of Kingdom was realized. The EBWF World Championship has come to rest around the best male talent this industry has to offer. Monday, the hunt for our next goal begins when I go one on one with Alexa Bliss.

The crowd reluctantly cheered for Bliss.

Raquel Diaz: Everyone knows that I am a third generation superstar. Everyone knows that professional wrestling is in my BLOOD. But, there are some things you don't know. It wasn't until I won the EBWF Women's Championship that I realized how much I needed this business in my life. And I struggled with it. Because this world, the likes of Alexa Bliss, and this industry as a whole teaches you that you have to look a certain way to make it in the business. Blonde hair, light eyes, pale skin, petite frame. All you have to do is look at our Women's Champion to see just how right I am. And so there was a time when I worried that I wouldn't be accepted. There was a time when I worried that the company wouldn't get behind me. That you fans wouldn't cheer my name and sing my praises.

A confused crowd cheered for the message she was sending.

Raquel Diaz: No I know better. I know that it doesn't matter if you people embrace me. It doesn't matter if Wes and the board of investors want to support me. It doesn't matter if the locker room accepts me, the fans love me or I sell merchandise on ShopEBWF.net!

She laughed.

Raquel Diaz: That's the thesis behind Kingdom. No more worrying about what the Universe wants, what Wes Ikeda wants. We're going to claim the gold because we're the best, regardless of how many obstacles they put in our way. We're going to Break the Walls Down so to speak and prove that we can't be stopped.

Raquel spun the mic in her hand and considered her next words.

Raquel Diaz: In three days I compete in my first televised match of 2020. In three days I begin my path back to the top of the EBWF Women's Division. I take the first steps on a road that leads right to the doorstep of Trish Stratus. Little Miss Bliss is just a stepping stone on that path. An insignificant footnote to what's going to be a historic return to former glories. Maybe you don't know what's coming Bliss. Maybe you're not prepared for the change that's looming on the horizon. Maybe you're ignorant of the truth. After all, ignorance is Bliss.

Raquel winked.

Raquel Diaz: Monday night at Warfare, Kingdom comes for the crown of the EBWF Women's Division. This is notice that if you don't want to get laid low, you best get out of my way!

Raquel threw the mic to the ground and the clip ended.
