Warfare was set to begin in just a few hours when the cameras caught up to AJ Styles who was just arriving to the arena. Upon walking into the building he was immediately approached by Cathy Kelley.

Cathy Kelley: AJ do you mind if I have a moment of your time?

Styles ignored her completely and continued walking. The journalist followed in hot pursuit.

Cathy Kelley: Please AJ. Do you mind commenting on your main event match against EBWF Legend Raven?

Styles stopped, seemingly triggered by the word legend. He turned and looked at Cathy for a moment as if he was checking her out. He was. Her anxiousness for an interview quickly became uncomfortableness.

AJ Styles: I’m sorry, I don’t believe we’ve had the chance to meet before. I thought you were just another groupie trying to get some attention.

He fixed his hair hanging in his face and smiled at her a bit.

AJ Styles: You’re kinda cute. So I’ll give you what you want now and later, if you know what I mean.

She was a bit apprehensive now but she held the microphone closer for him to speak.

AJ Styles: Raven? Who gives a damn about Raven in 2021!? Let’s be for real Jessica! When is the last time you looked forward to seeing a match with Raven in it? 1998?

Cathy Kelley: My name is actually Cathy.

AJ Styles: Whatever Paula. The answer is tonight! Tonight is the first time in over 20 years that anyone was looking forward to a match featuring Raven! That’s because my name is across from it. The real walking talking EBWF LEGEND! Have you checked the ratings lately? Since I made my return at the Rumble a few weeks ago everyone has been tuning in to see what happens next. I broke the internet with my Royal Rumble promo. I eliminated the greatest EBWF Champion in history Chris Jericho. Then I pinned the last EBWF Champion The Rock fair and square all by myself in the main event of Warfare. Shouldn’t that put me next in line to face Randy Orton?!

The look of curiosity was on both of their faces but Cathy shrugged her shoulders to remain impartial.

AJ Styles: Oh I forgot. This is the Wes Ikeda show after all. Just like he avoided me in the Rumble match he is avoiding my claim as #1 contender. Just like the booker he is, he has decided to put me in a tournament for a championship I don’t give a damn about. That’s fine, I understand. He wants me and Miz to go one on one at Wrestlemania. He wants the real money match to take place. I’ll play ball. I’ll go through the entire Midcard, starting tonight with Raven.

Styles stopped looking at Cathy and stared directly into the camera.

AJ Styles: Raven you are past your prime. You are a shell of what you once were. I know that for a fact because I’ve beat you in almost every promotion we’ve competed in and that was 10 years ago so tonight will be no different I’m sure about it. I’m sure you have some kids believing the lies you tells them trying to recreate The Flock or some shit because that’s your shtick. I really don’t give a damn what you’re doing, the point is I’m ready for whatever. I’m not only going to beat you tonight, I’m going to embarrass you. The beating I put on you tonight is gonna have you thinking your ass is back in ECW.

At this point Styles was so intense the camera was solely focused on him.

AJ Styles: You know, part of the reason I’m standing here is because of you..part of it. You had an impact on me just like you did with most of the guys in the back and I appreciate what you’re trying to do, and I probably would commend you for it in a different lifetime. But in that ring you put your personal lives aside and you go out and fight until you can’t fight anymore, I am emotionless in that ring. Just because you wants to make yourself proud it doesn’t mean I’m going to let you have this wonderful moment, no, it doesn’t work like that. If you take WRESTLING out of the equation then I admit, you still wouldn’t stand a chance inside of that ring! This isn’t fantasy island, we have to focus on reality and the reality is that you are probably hating your fucking life right now because you have to go up against me! Tonight, I become your nightmare, I destroy your dream of making ANYONE proud... and for the rest of your days in the EBWF, you will never be able to shake off the fact that you were and will always be my little bitch!

Styles snarled and began to walk away before turning back to the camera.

AJ Styles: Miz, I was watching last week. Congratulations. You almost made it look easy out there. I hope you’re watching tonight because I’m going to show you how it’s really done. See you in the finals.

Styles looked at Cathy and gave her a “call me” gesture before he walked out the frame. The camera focused on a confused Cathy who looked surprisingly satisfied with the interview.
