WrestleMania has come and gone, and with the conclusion of such a monumental event, new champions were crowned. Some were decisive while others were mired in controversy. One such case was the Triple Threat Match for the EBWF Women’s Championship. It was the Cerebral Lassassin better known as Becky Lynch taking on the Women’s Rumble winner Raquel Diaz and the then-EBWF Women’s Champion Tam Nakano.
The closing moments of the match showed Becky Lynch unleashing the Straight Fireball and Raquel Diaz utilizing the Gory Bomb, both on Tam Nakano. The two challengers to the Women’s Championship then simultaneously pinned Tam Nakano and the referee counted the fall, and that’s where things became interesting.
Mauro stated in the midst of the confusion over who won the match that the decision would be controversial no matter who was declared the winner. He could not be more right as was evidenced by the referee making the decision that Raquel Diaz is the winner and the new EBWF Women’s Champion.
This not only drew the ire of the audience, but it doubly drew the ire of Becky Lynch who rightfully felt that the Women’s Championship was stolen from her again. So, she did what any rational human being would do when pushed past the limits for diplomacy would do, she reacted and in quite a violent way.
The Cerebral Lassassin attacked Raquel Diaz and brutalized her. She ended the assault with one of the most vicious-looking con-chair-tos that anyone has ever seen much to the delight of the on-looking crowd. To cap off the post-match brutalization, Becky snatched the Women’s Championship belt from the referee and left with it, feeling that she is the rightful Women’s Champion.
When cameras caught up to her and Winter while the duo were making their way backstage, Renee Young attempted to get a word with them over their actions, but they silently brushed past her. The two never uttered a word as they left the arena with the EBWF Women’s Championship belt.
However, now with it being the episode of Monday Night Warfare after WrestleMania, the time has come for Becky Lynch and Winter to break their silence.
==========
It is Monday night. The twelfth day of April and the twentieth edition of WrestleMania is now in the history books. Even though WrestleMania has ended, the controversy surrounding the Women’s Championship match remains. The Cerebral Lassassin left WrestleMania with the Women’s Championship belt regardless of the decision made by the referee.
Since leaving WrestleMania with the Women’s Championship belt that she rightfully owns, that earned through all of her hard work, that she earned through being the cornerstone of the Women’s Division, through her being the biggest star in the entire company, both Becky and Winter remained silent which is definitely odd for Winter.
Now, with it being nearly twenty-two hours removed from WrestleMania, the Cerebral Lassassin herself will break her silence. She will not have Winter doing the talking for her during this, but it will be Becky Lynch herself doing the talking.
“Celtic Invasion” hits the PA System and the crowd unanimously gets to their feet and begins cheering as the lighting in the arena changes from normal to shades of green and orange. The reaction from the crowd only intensifies when the entrance curtain opens and Becky Lynch walks out onto the stage, alongside Winter, with the EBWF Women’s Championship belt securely fastened around her waist. The duo stop center stage for a few moments, and just soak in the adulation from the audience before they make their way down the entrance ramp.
“Ladies and Gentlemen…” Christy Hemme begins. “Please welcome at this time, The Cerebral Lassassin Becky Lynch and the Satanic Diva Winter!”
The crowd continues cheering the duo as they make their way to ringside and they climb up to onto the apron and into the ring. In the ring, Becky approaches Christy and grabs the microphone from her. Christy leaves the ring and Becky walks to the center of the ring, standing right next to Winter. The two sharing the spotlight while “Celtic Invasion” cuts out, not that anyone could really hear it due to the overwhelming love and respect emanating from the crowd.
After a few minutes of soaking in the reaction from the sell-out audience, Becky raises her microphone up to her lips, and the crowd begins to quiet down, wanting to hear what their heroine has to say.
“WrestleMania…” Becky begins. “It was at WrestleMania that I was in a triple threat match facin’ Raquel Diaz and the Women’s Champion, Tam Nakano. Ever since I returned last year, I took the burden of carryin’ this entire division on my broad shoulders, my boulder shoulders. I was here week in and week out, hardly ever took a day off, worked harder than anyone. Even when Hollywood came callin’ me to add star power to their movies, I became devoted to both the EBWF and my movie obligations, provin’ that I can do both. With the pressure of both careers, I had my head held high. I carried myself like no other, workin’ even harder than I ever have.”
Becky pauses for a moment and the crowd breaks out into chants of ‘Becky! Becky! Becky!’ After the moment passes, Becky continues speaking. “I’ve been burnin’ the candle at both ends, wantin’ my time to come here in EBWF. I was lickin’ my chops, waitin’ fer my moment. When I faced Tam Nakano last month on Warfare and I beat her, I felt my moment comin’ to me when Angelina Love rightfully added me to the title match at WrestleMania. It was like all of the hard work that I put in was beginnin’ to pay off. My carryin’ not only this entire division, but this entire company would earn me the reward that I so much sought after, the EBWF Women’s Championship. While my movies have been nominated fer and won awards, I felt unfulfilled. It felt like there was a big hole in the career of Becky Lynch.”
“When I was screwed over at SummerSlam last year, it felt like the shining star that was to be my reign ended up becomin’ a dismal light. After carryin’ Trish Stratus to the best match of her entire career, there were no ‘Thank Yous” from higher ups. There were no, ‘Hey, ya got screwed outta the title, so ya should get another shot’ because Trish is what I always said, a chickenshite.”
The crowd cheers unanimously. “So, in the months between SummerSlam and WrestleMania, I worked harder than before, wantin’ to get my moment, wantin’ to get the title that’s mine BY RIGHT, and I earned that chance at WrestleMania. I pinned Tam Nakano and the referee chose Raquel Diaz as the winner.”
The crowd boos furiously and breaks out into more chants of ‘BECKY! BECKY! BECKY!’ Becky continues. “After doin’ some investigatin’ and seein’ the video clip, it’s come to my attention that I was the one that pinned Tam Nakano first. I pulled up the bank statement of the referee and it showed that he was wired an undisclosed sum from what was an ‘anonymous source’. Further investigation showed that the source was none other than Raquel Diaz. So, there ya have it. The reason why Raquel Diaz was named the new champion instead me, the rightful champion, was because she paid off the referee.”
The booing from the crowd intensifies further before Becky continues. “Ya know, I know that the Guerrero family is well-known fer lyin’, cheatin’, and stealin’, but I never expected them engagin’ in referee corruption. That’s somethin’ that I won’t ever forget. WrestleMania was my time. It was my moment and I had it stolen from me because Raquel had the referee in her back pocket. So, I did what anyone would do. I gave Raquel the beatin’ that she deserves and I left with what’s rightfully mine…” The camera zooms in on the EBWF Women’s Championship belt that is fastened around Becky’s waist. “The EBWF Women’s Championship!”
The crowd gives Becky an ovation. “Tonight, yer gonna see the Real Women’s Champion in action. I’m gonna do what I do best and that’s carry this division as the champion, carry Alexa Bliss like I carried everyone else, and actually give everyone their money’s worth which is somethin’ none of the other women could do, especially Trish Stratus.”
“Alexa…” Becky begins as she turns her attention to her opponent. “When last we faced, I nearly tore yer arm off with the Dis-Arm-Her. Last time ya found yerself in this ring on Warfare, ya took on my partner, Winter, and she gave ya the option of snap or tap. Ya were smart enough to tap, but tonight, I won’t be as merciful. Tonight, I’m givin’ ya choice because I’m gonna knock yer fookin’ teeth out with the Straight Fireball. When yer layin’ there in a daze, lookin’ up at the lights with a dumb, empty expression on yer face, ya will know that yer not in my league, that I’m in a league of my own, that I’m up here…” Becky raises her hand as high as it can go. “And yer down here…” Becky lowers her hand toward the mat, barely touching it. “Just like everyone else in the division that isn’t me or Winter.”
“When match ends, ya will know that the Goddess has nothin’ on the Cerebral Lassassin. The clock is tickin’ and when it’s showtime, yer time is up and yer gonna learn that if ya play with Straight Fire, yer gonna get burned.”
