Triple Threat.....no threat

The scene opens up, but what is actually going on is unclear, like your vision isn’t completely in focus. When the view comes into focus, it is made clear that you are in a funeral home. The room is empty except for a casket. As you are brought closer to the casket, Jeff Hardy can be seen laying inside with his arms crossed over his chest. Just then Beth Britt and her daughters can be seen walking up to the casket, all crying.
Beth: “Stay strong girls, your father would want you to be strong.”
The girls hold tightly to their mother. Next Hardy himself is seen walking up to the casket, suddenly the Jeff in the casket opens his eyes and screams “Wake the F up stupid!”
The Rainbow Haired Warrior sits straight up in bed, he is sweating. He wonders what the hell was up with that dream. He rolls over and gets out of bed heading for the bathroom. Jeff looks at himself in the mirror. There are huge dark circles under his eyes. He continues to look at himself for a few more seconds, splashes cold water on his face, then returns to bed. He tosses and turns for a few hours while trying to fall back to sleep.
Hardy tried to sleep, but after a dream like that it was pretty much impossible. He layed in bed thinking about his current situation. What the hell was he doing? He had a beautiful wife and daughters. Beth really was the best wife a man could ask for, she was always understanding and stuck by his side. A true ride or die kinda girl. His girls meant the world to him.
Jeff grabbed his phone, it was 4:30 am. He debated for a few seconds,then decided to call Beth.
Beth: “Jeff what the hell it’s 4:30 in the morning. Is everything ok?”
The Extreme Enigma: “I just wanted to tell you I love you and the girls more than anything. I don’t want to lose you. I want to come home.”
Beth: “I want you home and so do the girls, but you can’t keep going how you are going or it will not work. I love you, but I refuse to stand by and watch you kill yourself.”
Hardy: “I know, I need to get help. I am ready to get help. I want to fix this and go back to the way we were.”
Beth: “I’m glad you decided this but, what brought this all about? Did something happen?”
Jeff paused trying to decide if he wanted to tell Beth about the dream, he decided against it.
The Rainbow Haired Warrior: “No, nothing happened, I have just been thinking alot lately, and I realized how important you and the girls are. I know I could ot make it without you three. You are my whole life.”
Beth: “Okay, well let’s get together in the morning and research some outpatient treatment places so that we can find the right one. I love you so much, babe. I’m so glad we are going to fix this.”
Hardy: “I love you too, and I’m sorry I took so long to make the right decision. I’ll call you a little later, we both should try to get some sleep. Beth, thank you for being so great. You always support me. I think that sometimes I don’t deserve you.”
Beth:”I am only doing what any good wife would do. This is what you do when you love someone. Goodnight babe.”
Jeff:”Goodnight my love.”
The Extreme Enigma hangs up the call, sets his phone down and tries to go back to sleep. He is not successful. He decides to get up and take a shower.
The scene fades to lack as Hardy enters the bathroom.
Scene 2
The scene opens up to Hardy driving. He is on his way to meet Beth. Jeff is in a surprisingly good mood. In fact he hasn’t been this happy for a while. He arrives at the house he shares with Beth and his girls, pulls into the driveway, shuts off his truck and goes inside.
Beth: “Good morning.”
Jeff:”Good morning love.”
The couple embraces, and walks into the kitchen. The two spend the better part of the morning researching treatment facilities. Finally they find one that meets Jeff’s needs, and allows him to continue to work. An appointment is made for an evaluation.
In the afternoon, Jeff, Beth and their daughters spend family time together. Hardy is happy, things are starting to come together. Jeff is getting his family back. Beth and Hardy put the girls to bed, then return to the living room to watch tv. The couple falls asleep in each other’s arms on the couch.
The scene fades to black.
Scene 3
The scene opens up to The Extreme Enigma sitting in his locker room. He is wearing his usual black cargo jeans, black tank top, purple belt and black boots. He is watching tapes of CM Punk’s matches, has to do his homework. As he watches Punk slam his opponent to the mat Hardy becomes more comfortable with facing him in the triple threat. Jeff might be off his game a little, but Punk is no match for his wrestling abilities!! He has been in wrestling a lot longer than Punk. Really no competition.
The Rainbow Haired Warrior smiles as he thinks about his match.
As he continues watching matches with Punk and Gargano Hardy becomes angry. How the hell is he going to be put in a match with these two clowns? They are not even on his level. He should be getting title shots not having to deal with these two idiots. There is a knock at the door.
Jeff gets up and opens the door, a random backstage reporter is standing there.
Reporter:”May I come in and ask you a few questions?”
Hardy:”Come on in.”
The Extreme Enigma sits back on his couch. He looks at the reporter as if to say what.
Reporter:” Tonight you have a triple threat involving CM Punk and Gargano, what are your thoughts on this match?”
Jeff: “My thoughts? I am insulted. I am above both of those two goons. I should be getting title shots. A match like this is beneath me.”
Reporter:” So you think that you are better than your opponents?”
Hardy: “As far as wrestling, yes I am. I have been in this business for a longtime, way before either of those two. I was making a name for myself when those two were still in school. I’m not going to deny that those two have talent. Punk has done some amazing things during his career. Gargano has potential, but has a long way to go. He thinks he is the best thing to happen to professional wrestling ever, but he is delusional.”
Reporter: “Wow those are some strong words. Are you at all worried that you might not be in the best shape or exactly bringing your A game? Do you think that this will impact your performance in your match?”
The Rainbow Haired Warrior smirks and begins to speak.
Jeff: “ Damn right those are strong words, but they are facts and need to be said. I have a message for both of my opponents.”
Hardy grabs the microphone and looks directly into the camera before continuing to speak.
The Extreme Enigma: “ Punk, I’ll start with you. I can imagine what your response will be to this. You will rant about how you are better than me because you are straight edge. About how I am such a loser because I have addiction problems. I’m sure that you will talk about the problems with my family, well go ahead if it makes you feel better. Maybe you should be more original, come up with something that people don’t know. Actually talk about something that actually has to do with our match. None of my personal problems will stop me from beating the shit out of you. As you are laying flat on your back on the mat, and I get the pin 1,2,3 only then will reality hit you….I am better than you!”
Jeff laughs then continues to speak.
The Rainbow Haired Warrior: “ As for you Gargano, you have a lot to learn. I actually feel sorry for you.You have it in your head that you are better than everyone, that delusion will get you in trouble. I’m sorry to have y be the one to knock you down a few notches but it has to be done. By the time our match is over you will know that you have a lot to learn, and a lot of work to do before you call yourself Johnny Wrestling! By the end of our match I will have my hand raised in victory, and be leaving you and Punk laying flat on your backs.”
Hardy shoves the microphone back at the reporter.
Jeff:”Interview over.”
The reporter exits the locker room.
The scene fades to black as Hardy sits back on his couch.
