Defeating Edge

OCC: Sorry for not adding color this week, I had allot going on and wanted to make sure I got my role play posted on time.



The scene opens up to a crowded room. There are people everywhere, talking, and laughing. Kids are running around playing. In a corner sitting by himself is Jeff Hardy, he is watching the kid playing and having fun, and it brings a smile to his face. The Charismatic Enigma loves to see kids happy. As he is watching, a sadness suddenly washes over him. He is reminded of his own kids, he misses them. Jeff came to an agreement with Beth that she would take the girls to her mother’s out of town until his treatment was finished. He hates being away from his family, but at least he is still able to work. Hardy would go absolutely crazy without being able to work.

The Extreme Enigma is jolted from his daydream by a blonde haired little girl touching his arm. He looks down at her.

Little girl: “Why are you sitting here all by yourself? Don’t you want to have fun?”

Hardy: “I am just watching, I am alright.”

Little girl: “If you say so.”

She runs off to play with her friends. The Charismatic Enigma laughs to himself. Kids have no filter. The party continues to go on around Jeff. He sits off in the corner watching the action around him, lost in his own thoughts. The Rainbow haired Warrior doesn't even know why he came to this party in the first place. After a few hours have gone by he decides to go home. Hardy says a few quick goodbyes and excuses himself.

The scene fades to black as Hardy exits the party.


The scene opens up to Jeff Hardy laying in his bed. He is wearing old sweat pants and a t-shirt. An alarm clock beeps, The Extreme Enigma shuts the alarm off and gets out of bed, and heads to the shower. After getting cleaned up Hardy gets dressed, once henis finished he is wearing jeans and a black t-shirt. His phone rings.

Jeff: “Hello?”

Beth: “Hey baby, How are things going?”

Hardy: “Things are going ok. I miss you and the girls.”

Beth: “Well there are only a few more weeks to go. We will be home soon.”

Jeff: “I know, I am working my program.I am actually doing very well. The only thing helping me from going insane is being able to work. Itt helps to keep my mind off things.”

Beth: “Just focus on getting well and knowing that me and the girls will be home soon. We love you very much.”
Hardy: “I love you all too, bye babe.”

Jeff hangs up the phone, and gets ready to go to the arena. He grabs his keys and heads out the door.

The scene fades to black.

The scene opens up to The Rainbow Haired Warrior sitting in his locker room. He is watching tapes of Edge’s previous matches. As he watches he knows that he has his work cut out for him in their upcoming match. Edge is definitely going to be a competition. This is no ordinary match, it is to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. Hardy continues to watch match videos looking to see where Edge’s weak spots are. After about an hour of reviewing tapes Jeff decides he is done, he can’t bring himself to watch anymore of these matches. He reaches up and shuts the television off.

There is a knock at the door.

Jeff: “Come in, it's open.”

The door opens and an interviewer walks in.

Interviewer:”Do you have time for a few questions?”

Hardy rolls his eyes before answering.

The Charismatic Enigma: “Make it quick.”

Interviewer:” Are you at all worried about losing your match against Edge?”

The Extreme Enigma:” Worried? What the hell would I have to be worried about? Edge is nothing. I can beat him. I know everyone is thinking that Edge is just going to walk right through me to a victory. Well everyone is wrong. I am not at all worried. I don’t know when people are going to realize that I am no one to mess with.”

Interviewer:”Are you at all concerned that Edge is going to play on your emotional state?”

Jeff laughs and continues to speak.

Hardy:” My emotional state? Let him, one thing that Edge needs to realize is that I have nothing more to lose. I am coming into this match with a don’t give a crap attitude. There is nothing that Edge can do or say that will affect me. I am coming into this match with one goal, to kick his ass.”

Interviewer:”One last question, do you really think that you can beat Edge?”
Jeff looks directly into the camera and continues to speak.

The Extreme Enigma:” Edge let me make something perfectly clear, I am not the Jeff of the past. I have nothing to lose, nothing will stop me from beating your ass all over this arena. I know that you think that you will beat me, and you are sadly mistaken. Nothing will give me more pleasure than to watch you suffer. Yes we have a history, but none of that matters. The only thing that matters is that only one of us can advance in this tournament, and that will be me. When I pin you on the mat, and get the 1,2,3 count then it will sink in, I am the winner and will go on to win the KIng of the Ring.”

Jeff:”Now get out of my locker room. I have nothing else to say, get the hell out!!!”

The interviewer quickly exits the locker room.

The scene fades to black.
