Hollywood Hulk Hogan

I'f I can be serious for a moment..

Post by Hollywood Hulk Hogan »

*The scene opens to the camera zoomed in on a pair of hands, folded together ontop of someones lap. As the camera pans out, it reveals Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Sitting on a leather sofa, he is wearing his trademark black and white bandana with a white sleeveless t-shirt and black jeans. His white rimmed sunglasses are hiding his eyes. From the vibe in the room, it can't be a good look on his face. The camera zooms out more and on the right side of the room is a leather chair where Jim Ross is sitting. Next to chair is a small coffee table where JR's BBQ sauce and Beef Jerky products can be seen sitting. JR is wearing his traditional cowboy hat and dressed in his usual street clothes, wearing a black vest with the EBWF logo on the pocket. JR begins the interview*

JR:Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the one and only, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Hulkster, thanks for joining us today for this exclusive interview which will be posted to the official EBWF website. I know you're busy and have alot going on in your personal life, but we have alot of questions that the fans would like answered.

*The mood seems more than serious. Hogan clearly has alot on his mind as he stares a hole right through the seasoned commentator*

JR: Now Hogan, last Monday on Warfare, you were quickly eliminated from the Gauntlet Match with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. You had made it clear that you were not completley sold on the match, and that winning the title was not a large concern of yours. You had even stated that if you won, you were going to hand it over to Scott Hall. Your participation in the match lasted less than 1 minute. I think the fans were almost banking on you taking down The Miz and walking away as the new champion. What happened?

Hogan: I lost. Plain and simple brother. I went in to the match thinking I was going to own The Miz. I think my confidence got the best of me. I gained alot of respect for The Miz on Monday night. The Miz showed Hollywood that he was more than just talk. I just wasn't on my game that night.

JR: And arguably so, it seems as if he not only got the best of you, but the best of your friend Scott Hall as well.

Hogan: Scott and I haven't really talked much since that night. We went in with a game plan, and it all fell apart. He is dealing with issues with his son, Cody. They seem to be having a falling out of sorts, and with all that's been going on in the media with myself, it was hard to keep my head straight. Now I'm not taking anything away from Mike. He defended the strap against a number of people that night and walked away with yet another win. All I can say is congratulations. And Mike, if you're watching this, Hollywood wants you to know that I got a lot of respect for you after Monday night. Congratulations on keeping the title around your waist.

JR: Well that's very big of you Holly..

Hogan: It's not big of me. Simply put, he has my respect now. I know he doesn't need it, but the man is a fighter. He is going on to bigger and better things in the industry.

JR: Speaking of talent in the industry, Kevin Steen is one of our newest talents in the EBWF. We have seen a lot of new commers lately. Steen has proven himself on the independant circuit in places like CZW and ROH. What do you think is it about him that will propel him to the next level and, in your eyes, does he stand a chance against you in the 4 way #1 contenders match for the breakout title on Monday night?

Hogan: Ya know what brother, I did my research, and I saw some of his classic matches from his indy days. One match in particular, when he defeated AJ Styles for the PWG Championship really stands out. He took a hell of a beating, but came out on top for the title. In him, I saw shades of the next big thing in our sport. The fan has a lot of potential to be a big star. But Monday will be a true test. He is stepping in the ring with Hollywood brother, and I can guarantee you one thing. You're going to see a different side of me tomorrow night brother. The time for talk is over, and the time for me to show the wrestling world that I still have what it takes is now. I've learned that, in the EBWF, it doesn't matter what you have accomplished in the industry in the past. Here in the EBWF, you start from scratch. I have main evented numerous Wrestlemanias. I have put down some of the biggest and baddest people on the planet. Anyone from Andre, The Rock, John Cena, Ric Flair, Macho Man, and many more. But this is a new chapter. I'm not relying on my past anymore. And Monday night, I'm taking Steen to School brother. Class is in session on Warfare.

JR:Well we can't forget about Rhyno and Shane Douglas. These guys have proven themselves time and time again in the ring and are not to be taken lightly. Shane Douglas, whom earlier today appeared on our broadcast, had some less than flattering words to say about..

Hogan: Who cares what that nobody has to say. He's nothing more than a foul mouthed, pompous, talentless piece of crap. Ya see brother, I've made a living beating up guys like him. The guy's nothing more than an attention whore. He crashes live events, trying to promote his little ECW revival, he runs his mouth on national TV about things he knows nothing about. He can run down Hollywood all he wants, but come Monday, its either put up or shut up time for him. Like I was saying earlier, the past is meaningless. And that seems to be all he can hold onto. He talks about righting the wrongs of the past 15 years. What wrongs is he trying to make right? The fact that he could never make it in the big leagues? He has had all the opportunity in the world my friend. He has had countless opportunities to make a name for himself, but hes more concerned about dropping f-bombs than perfecting his craft.

JR: Well it seems to me he has done just fine for himself. He had held numerous championships in many different organizations, including the now defunct WCW and the WWE. What does he have left to prove?

Hogan: Like I said earlier, I'm not banking on the past. His past accomplishments mean nothing. Today is a new day. And tomorrow is uncertain as to what it brings to our careers. Sure he made himself famous in ECW. How could anyone not? It doesn't take much talent to swing a few chairs around and crash through a few tables. I've taken more chair shots and table bumps than most people, but it doesn't get to my head. After this past Monday, I had a rude awakening. I was came to terms with the fact that the past is simply, the past. And that's what he needs to get through his head. Now brother, I could go on and on and on about his stint as Dean Douglas in the WWF, or his less than stellar run as the I-C champ over in the WWF. The fact of the matter is, I don't care. He's going into the ring with a brand new Hogan brother. I'm gonna walk into the ring that night with 1 goal in mind, and that's complete domination. You're not going to see me taking vitamins or saying my prayers, and you're not going to see me playing my air guitar. What you will see is me more focused than I've ever been at any point in my career. And if I'm going to win on Monday, I promise to make sure I get the 1, 2,3 on Mr. Douglas himself.

JR:Well he clearly has his sights set on you as well. He even made a few threats on live television earlier about what he wants to do in your match on Monday.

Hogan:Oh, you mean how he wants to punch me right in the mouth? Unless he plans on bringing a kendo stick or a steel chair, he's out of his league. Their wont be any thumbtacks, their won't be any tables or chairs, its gonna all be man to man. He's gonna have to put his money where his mouth is. He's doing a lot of talking. He's writing checks that his ass can't cash. And Monday night, when Hollywood steps into that ring, I'm gonna stand my ground, look him square in the eye, and watch him quiver at the sight of the Immortal Hollywood Hulk Hogan brother. You can believe that! 4 times he said he was going to punch me square in the mouth. Well Dean, I'm gonna make sure to brush my teeth and shine them up real nice for ya. I'm gonna smile big, and give you a target. let's see if you can put your money where MY mouth is. In the words of Scott Hall, don't sing it, BRING IT!

JR:The last man you will be competing against is Rhyno. And frankly, a lot of people are betting that he is gonna walk away the new number 1 contender. The man is a beast. He is someone that is none for being overly brutal in the ring and has been known to backup a lot of what he says. Like Shane Douglas, and I know you said the past is of no concern, but you cannot take away the fact that he has also made a name for himself in the industry and even in a 1 on 1 setting, the guy can prove to be a lot to handle.

Hogan: Rhyno is a tough customer indeed. Their is no question about that. He is a former World Champion, and he has built a legacy in the ring by beating the crap out of his opponents. Again, the past is the past, and Rhyno needs to look to the future. Now I, personally, don't have a lot of experience with the guy in the ring. But I've seen a lot of his work, and witnessed his smash mouth style. If their is 1 man in mt match tomorrow night that is gonna have me watching my back, its Rhyno.

JR: Seems to be that maybe your intimidated by him?

Hogan: I wouldn't say I'm intimidated. I'm, more or less, educated as to what the man can do in the ring. His move, the gore, is definitely brutal. It reminds me of Bill Goldberg hitting the spear. It's every bit of intense, if not more. I might be gunning for Shane Douglas, but make no mistake about it, I won't be shrugging off the monster Rhyno one bit.

JR: We all gotta wonder, are you ready? You have suffered 2 losses since returning to the ring here in the EBWF, do you think you can take your third match since joining the company and finally get a mark in the win column?

Hogan: My confidence may have been shaken, but I've been their and done that. As many times as I have been on the winning end of matches, I've also had my fair share of losses. But I'm in a zone I haven't been in since I was in my prime. Their isn't a single doubt in my mind that I can win this match. I have to win. It's not an option for me. I came here to win. And with all that has been going on in my life, I need to win to take my mind off things.

JR: I can only assume you are referring to the sex tape drama between you and Bubba the Love Sponge. How are things going on that front?

Hogan: Ya know brother, if their is 1 thing I have learned, it's that you can't trust nobody. Me and Bubba go along way back. We had been friends for years and years brother. Anymore, though, I just don't know. I feel like my heart has been ripped out. I was going through a rough time, I had made a few bad choices when this tape was made. I'm doing my best to put it behind me and move on. Sure its embarrassing, but theirs a positive to every negative. My positive will come tomorrow night when my hand gets raised and I earn a shot at the EBWF Breakout Championship.

*Hogan pauses for a moment, as silence falls over them both. Hogan takes a sip from his water bottle*

Hogan: Right now, I wanna speak not as Hollywood, not as Hulk, but as Terry Boilea. I'm a man just like everyone else in my match tomorrow night. And I call it MY MATCH for a reason. It's my night. It's by time to show the world that age ain't nothing but a number. I've been training hard, I'm been hitting the gym everyday, and I've been in the ring working on my skills. Their is a lot more to Terry, the man, than meets the eyes. And as a man, I wanna say something to Douglas. You can insult me all you want brother, but tomorrow night, you're not stepping in the ring with Hulk Hogan. You're not stepping in the ring with Hollywood. You are not stepping in the ring with multiple time world champion, the icon, or the 24" pythons. Quite frankly, you're stepping in the ring with a man. A man you have threatened on live television, and a man who is going to walk into Warfare and kick your ass. I'll get my hands on all 3 of my opponents, but Douglas..

*Hogan turns his attention directly to the camera, he takes off his shades, starring intensely. Hogan points at the camera, almost shaking with anger*

Hogan:Shane Douglas. Mark my words. You want to pick a fight, you want my attention. You've got my attention. Tomorrow night, in the middle of the ring, it won't be the leg drop. It wont be the big boot. It's gonna be my foot to your ass, all night long. I can only pray that Rhyno and Steen pair off and do their own fighting away from us. Tomorrow night, I'm zeroed in on kicking your ass.

*Hogan stands up and walks over to the camera, getting so close all that can be seen is Hogans face*

Hogan:And leave your little b**** at home. It's bad enough I'm gonna have to beat the s*** out of one woman all ready, don't make me take out another one. Francine, if you're smart honey, you won't be at ringside. Pack your bags, go back to the airport, and go home. Keep clear of what is about to transpire on Monday. I beg you, do not get involved. I will not hold myself back from knocking you on your ass.

*Hogan storms off as JR looks on, with a look of concern on his face. The camera pans over to the EBWF Warfare logo on the wall as the camera goes off the air*
