The scene opened up inside an empty gym. There was a wrestling ring in the middle of the room, with all sorts of dumb bells and benches outside of where the ring sat. In the ring training vigorously was Dominik Mysterio. He was running the ropes, taking bumps, and really putting in some grind time. He wore a gray tanktop and black gym shorts. The tank top was soaked in sweat. As he went through this cardio in ring workout. The door of the gym swung open and in walked his father, Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey was in an orange Fubu 05 Jersey with Lime Green writing. He wore a matching hat and light grey baggy sweatpants. As always the accessories around his neck and in his ears were shiny and impressive. Rey went into the ring, which immediately caused his son to pause his workout. The father and son dapped up, and Dominik sat down in the ring. Rey sat down with him, and the two began to chat.
Rey Mysterio Jr. : Well son- I told you. I told you that there was no way, that your papi was going to let you lose your very first match against a couple of losers like the Gunn Club. Now my boy, we are one match away from earning ourselves a shot at the EBWF Tag Team Titles. I gotta tell you dom, it feels good to say- and I want nothing more than to accomplish this goal with you.
Dominik smiled.
Dominik Mysterio: Gracias papi, it was a thrill being in the ring with you the other night, and I know this coming week will be more of the same. I'm in match two in the EBWF.. two.. and already I'm going up against the likes of the Dudley Boyz and... well.. I mean the Dudley Boyz.. how cool is that? The other team.. like Jurassic Park.. or whatever.. I'm not like.. as excited about.. but it'll be fun to face them.. and more importantly beat them as well.
Rey nodded.
Rey Mysterio Jr. : Bubba and D-Von have been around the business a long time son. They've put a lot of people through tables.. they've yelled WAZZZZZUPPPPP.. they've head butted dudes in the crotch. They've had some nice runs.. but only the truly special performers, only the truly gifted guys.. can maintain that success as they get up there in age. Your father, is one of those guys. I have been wrestling for decades, yet, I still perform in the ring like it was MY second match. I have the same spritely step that I had when I was your age nino, and I don't plan on that changing anytime soon. Bubba and D-Von- haven't had as much luck with father time. So for all the TESTIFY's and everything else they're trying to do to stir up old feelings from the fans, it's going to be extremely clear.. that they are just a mirage of what they used to be. The outfits might look the same, and so might the act, but the two guys, the team.. the Dudley's they aren't the same.. they just ran out of dinero my boy.. and now they are back trying to make us full in love with their antics all over again. This is exactly what frustrated me about when I first got back here, Dom. I was told to wear my mask, and basically parody a career that I worked so hard to build. I was asked to basically tarnish my legacy. The Dudley's are paying homage.. but they are paying homage to themselves.. and it's downright weird. They are the poor mans version.. of themselves.. and it's extremely confusing. That's why I lost the mask, and I decided to make Rey Mysterio in 2021 a completely different thing, a completely different animal, than anything people had ever seen from me in the past. Now teaming up with my own flesh and blood, heading on a crash course for a chance at becoming the new EBWF Tag Team Champions- I can say that not only am I feeling revitalized, not only do I feel like what I'm doing is fresh, I can honestly say nino.. I'm extremely happy.
Dom once again dapped up his father. He smiled like a son feeling the pride his father had in him.
Dominik Mysterio: Me too pop.. me too. Walking down the ramp with you last week, and beating some sense into the Gunn Club was something that I'll always remember. One thing you always taught me though, is the most important win.. is the next one. The most important moment, is the next one. The most important match.. is the next one. I refuse to be a team that takes that win, and has that be the highlight of our run together. The Gunn Club isn't even a page that I want in my scrapbook of W's when my career is all said and done someday. It's not memorable, because it really wasn't even all that challenging. 2021 Dudley's or 2001 Dudley's the Dudley's are the Dudley's and then we got Jungle Boy and Luchasauraus or whoever the hell it is.. as the other squad trying to stand in our way.. and you throw in the right to become the #1 Contenders for the tag titles.. NOW this a match I can really get behind.. this is a W that would be even more memorable.. this is the type of dub.. that when we get it.. it's going to propel the Mysterio name in EBWF to a new page of success. You won King of the Ring this year.. you were seconds away from being the EBWF Champion.. you've started to show who you've always been in this business.. but now what we are about to do TOGETHER.. is going to prove that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.. that the Mysterio blood that runs through my veins runs extremely deep.. and that the only thing better than watching one Mysterio fly around and dominate.. is watching TWO.
Rey grabbed Dom's shoulders with his outstretched arm closest to his son. He rubbed them quickly with this arm.
Rey Mysterio Jr. : Well said Dom- I'm not even sure what to make of the Jurassic team.. I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be angry.. offended.. laugh.. cry.. I'm not sure.. so I guess we'll just destroy them.. and ask questions later. We got a 6'5 literal human dinosaur.. and a little side kick that like sprays him with water. The longer I stay in this business.. the weirder things get. I just think it'll be extra rewarding when we beat the weird out of this team, and dash any of the hopes that they may have had at becoming the tag champs.
Dominik Mysterio: Yeah you can't expect to be tag champs.. it's one thing to be weird.. but then extremely untalented on top of it.. you're going nowhere fast in this company.
Rey Mysterio Jr. : Nothing much more to say.. what do you say we go get some grub and plan our victory party.
Dominik Mysterio: Sounds good to me.
The father and son exited the ring and the scene faded to black.
