Equalizer.

Evan Bourne
Things have intensified over the past two weeks; we’ve seen great “A” quality matches as well as backstage assaults and people using unsavory tactics to get the upper hand on a rival. I know that the saying “all is fair in love and war” can be used a lot in the wrestling industry but last week things just went too far. It involved the heinous assault by the Coalition on Ted DiBiase in a washroom nonetheless. A lot of people may still be questioning my involvement in the main event two weeks ago, where the Coalition were basically having their way with the Path to Glory champion before I stepped into the ring and stopped the onslaught, but something had to be done! We can’t have the Coalition running around doing whatever they want, which is why I attempted to stop them dead in their tracks two weeks ago. But obviously it was just a minor bump in the road for them as I alluded to earlier as they sunk to a new low last week.
Evan pauses for a brief moment to gather his thoughts, looking down at his t-shirt which read “Fly Air Bourne” with a neat picture of a jet in the center of it; he then looks straight into the camera and continues to speak.

Tonight I have a one on one match against one of the members of the dastardly group that calls themselves the Coalition; Bully Ray. I’ve had my run-ins with Bully Ray in the past when it came to the Breakout title just over a month ago, and it looks like we’re going to clash heads once again tonight. This whole mess started two weeks ago in a one on one match which featured Bully Ray and Ted DiBiase. Ted was just about to win the match when Mr. Anderson, another member of the Coalition got involved and all hell broke loose from there. Bully is known for being outspoken and brash because of his hardcore nature and his background but I’ve got a message of my own for him…
The camera now pans a little back so that Evan’s whole body could be caught in the picture, the fans proceed to cheer as they see a steel chair in his hand, and it was the same steel chair that he brought to the ring two weeks ago in the main event to help fend off the Coalition and send them running into the crowd. Evan holds the steel chair up to his chest and continues to speak.

You’re not the only one that can get “Hardcore”; two can play at that game. I’d be a fool if I were to rule out the possibility of your Coalition cronies interfering in our match and trying to do the same thing they’ve been doing to Ted for the past two weeks, but I’ll be ready and waiting as I’ve got an equalizer of my own in the form of a steel chair. This match isn’t about winning or losing, it’s a matter of survival as well as getting some revenge. So I’ll see you in that ring Bully Ray, and your little “pack” as well.
The fans proceed to cheer as Evan tucks the steel chair underneath his arm and noticed that he was all business tonight, there was no smile or “peace victory” sign from him at this moment. Had he made a mistake of getting on the bad side of the Coalition in a predicament where they weren’t really targeting him? Maybe, but he was a fighter and he wasn’t going to let a pack of wolves just push people around and have their way and he was going to take a stand and attempt to slow the Coalition down. The scene slowly fades to black with the sound of the fans still cheering in the background.
