The inevitable first victory

Alex Marvez is backstage for a very last minute interview with the newest Dynasty member, Ace Austin.
Alex Marvez: Ace Austin, this week you make your singles debut here in EBWF against Roderick Strong. It’s safe to say that things didn’t go to plan for The Dynasty in your 8-man tag team match last week, are you hoping that you’re a little luckier this time around?
Ace: Luckier? Don’t offend me. I am the INEVITABLE Ace Austin, and I make my own luck. Sure, things didn’t go so well for the team last week, but did you see my shoulders pinned to the mat?
Alex Marvez: I saw you running like a scalded dog.
Ace: You saw me reserving my energy ready for this week. The bell had already been rung, so what benefit was there sticking around? You saw the type of lunatics that were on the other side of that ring. You saw what happened to KC and Holliday, they’ve only just been discharged from the hospital this morning. Don’t get me wrong, those guys are my brothers, but I’m smarter than to put myself in that situation. I knew this match was on the cards, and I knew I didn’t want to turn up to it after going through a table AFTER a match.
Alex Marvez: There were no tables in the ring when you left.
Ace: The Dudley Boyz were in the ring when I left, and anybody with half a brain cell knows that tables are the only way either of those ancient relics can get wood without the help of pills. The inevitable can spot the inevitable, and sadly Alex Marvez, the Dudleys doing a table spot is inevitable, some may even say woefully predictable. And that right there is why I chose to come to EBWF – why I chose to join The Dynasty. I know that Max often says he didn’t watch the product, but I did. And it’s just become too painfully, excruciatingly predictable. I’m here, and we’re here, to change things up. You didn’t get to see a lot of me during that 8-man, but this week you’re going to see what Ace Austin is all about. You can bet that my matches will be unpredictable, innovative and entertaining…well, entertaining for everybody except Roderick Strong. Why did EBWF even sign that guy? Since I got here, the only time I’ve seen him is when he was laying down for Xavier. Well, Roderick, you better hope the mat is comfortable, because the odds are that you’re going to be laying down again pretty soon.
Ace flicks a custom printed playing card of himself at the camera before walking away.
