Celebration and Dedication

(OOC: Good Luck Miles.)

Warfare was just going off the air and the thought of Fanniversary was still lingering within homes across the world. AJ Styles had been able to get a win over Chris Jericho to put himself into contention for the World Championship. Earlier in the show CM Punk agreed to face Styles if he could be victorious and since he was, the match was now set in stone. In a week time at the second biggest pay per view of the year AJ Styles would be battling against a man he has met in the past, the current champion CM Punk. The two were no strangers in the EBWF and had clashed before over championship gold, in the past it was for the Path to Glory Championship, but this time it was for the richest prize in the industry. For the Phenomenal One this was his chance to get back to the top of the mountain, after losing a few matches here and there, coming up short in the Elimination Chamber, this could possibly be his last chance at the gold.

Later that week, tragedy struck at the heart of the EBWF when a mad fan literally went on a rampage at the EBWF Headquarters. Love ones were injured and killed during the terrible event and the world was left to grieve over the devastating loss. AJ Styles had been located at his home in Atlanta, Georgia when the travesty struck and no matter how many phone calls he made; it was hard to get in any answers. Was Wes alive? Styles found out over social media that Wes was in fact alive, but the fact that his daughter was murdered, a poor innocent girl, it ate away at AJ’s soul.

AJ Styles: Thanks for taking the time to watch this. The past few days have been rough on us all. My prayers go out to all of the families who are hurting. This Sunday’s Fanniversary was probably not going to take place, but the ones who were lost would not want that. They would want the show to go on. Therefore this year’s Fanniversary will be dedicated to those lost souls. CM Punk and I plan on putting on the match of the century to celebrate the life and times of the loved ones who are no longer with us.

Recording from his iPhone 5 in his living room AJ Styles had sent off a Tout. The weeks fan experience had been canceled, so he hadn’t left town at the moment. He wanted to voice his thoughts to the people before his promo. He finished packing up his things and left for the airport. Seattle was the destination.

AJ Styles: To be the best in the world or the greatest in the galaxy you have to be high. Not literary, seriously look around.

Those watching at home were treated to a beautiful scene from the city of Seattle as AJ Styles was standing on top of the Seattle Space Needle. He was dressed in a black hoodie with it covering his head, a dark pair of jeans, and Timberland boots.

AJ Styles: For guys like I, AJ Styles and guys like CM Punk, this is what we are accustomed to. The high life. Living the life of the lavish, expensive cars, nice clothes, huge houses, tour buses, hot women. We could probably have anything we want. Other guys would sell their soul to be where we are. We are the cream of the crop and every time we are in the ring with one another, we create magic. We do things that are remembered for years to come. We have matches that will stand the test of time. Our WrestleMania match is the only reason the Path to Glory title even means something. Definitely not because Ted DiBiase has held it forever. We made that Championship mean something, we made it matter. The World Championship, it makes us matter. For you, four times you have held the strap. I’ve held it once and even though it was probably the best four months of my life, it was only a tease. I never got to experience the pressure of being a champion. Maybe I’ve been listening to Kevin Nash too much, but some of the things he says are true.

The camera was now fully focused on AJ who had the blue sky as his background.

AJ Styles: Even though I won the Royal Rumble, my guaranteed match at Wrestlemania against the Miz was not the main event. Even though I was the reigning and defending World Champion, my match was put before a CM Punk Match. Next month, bumped again, why? CM Punk match. Punk, you’ve managed to main event for the past few months, you’ve even got the World Title back around your waist. If I’m this high, hell you have to be out of this world.

His last words made him look a bit angry, but he didn’t break is strive.

AJ Styles: Some people might think I’m stupid for challenging punk. Throwing me on the backburner as if I’m going to fall at the hands of the second city saint. Like I’m nothing more than lamb to the slaughter. I’ll be damned. I know better than to be cocky and swear up and down that I can defeat Punk with ease. I’m smarter than that. No, I know that I can kick his ass. He is a brawler, so am I. I like to fly, he does his thing. We could both probably kick each other to death. It’s bound to be a battle, a war for the ages. I’m not making any promises. I can just tell you that the best man will walk out the winner. Punk, you better be on your shit, because if you make the slightest mistake, believe me when I tell you that’s your ass. I will capitalize and do what I have to do to have my hand raised.

He raised his hand briefly as a sign of things to come.

AJ Styles: Even though we have a lot of things in common, Punk may think he has the drop on me. He thinks he has my number. I wasn’t able to beat him for the Path to Glory Championship almost a year and a half ago, so he will assume, and make an ass out of himself. I am not the same man he face then, I’m ten times the WRESTLER I was then, not to mention ten times the MAN I was then. Punk I’ll give it to you, kicking my ass woke me up to the real world. The EBWF is truly the major league of wrestling and once you know where the bar is, you will always strive to grasp it. In my case I surpassed it. I went on to defeat 29 other men including you Punk to win the Royal Rumble. I went on to win that title in a damn near Cinderella story. I had made it to the other side, threw the glass ceiling. So, should I thank you Punk for pushing me to that level?

He had a smirk on his face.

AJ Styles: No. Hell no. I’m not the most focused man on the planet. I know that. But it probably won’t change. I’m a man, so sure I fall for a pretty woman every now and then. No need to throw rocks at a single man for mingling. Who am I kidding, the World Championship is more important than any woman. So I’m the underdog going into this thing. Fine. So be it. It’s not the first time and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The past won’t be a factor because I’m better than ever. Punk will be stepping into the ring with a man he has never seen before. A new AJ Styles. One who isn’t concerned with finally beating him. With finally getting a win over him. He is stepping into the ring this Sunday with a man who has only one goal in mind, winning back the EBWF World Heavyweight Championship. Fanniversary will be the 11 year anniversary of the EBWF and I promise you all that you won’t want to miss it.

With his closing words Styles gave a big confident smile at the camera to show that no matter what, this Sunday would be a classic celebration and dedication.
