A highlight reel kicks off the promo. An emphasis is put on the time of the match between Brock Anderson and Seth Rollins, with a clock’s ticking incorporated into the dramatic music. The focus is shown on Brock’s systematic breakdown of his opponent, much like an old school wrestler would do. The clock continues ticking, as the wrestlers look more exhausted as the promo continues. Eventually winning blow, the Spinebuster to Rollins, would be shown and the scene would conclude with Brock Anderson in shock and awe as he held the title up in victory. That scene would fade to black only to bring a large clockface into picture. The hands of the clock quickly spin around from the time the beginning of the Anderson versus Rollins match started, to the time it ended and now to the time that entry number twelve for the Lone Survivor match would be making their entrance. The difference is minimal… The music changes to a harder southern rock type jam to match the tempo of the Lone Survivor match. This new scene shows Brock Anderson making his way to the ring filled with other contestants. It highlights the work rate of Brock as he navigates naturally in the ring and the opponents that he has a hand in eliminating. A clock can still be faintly heard in the background as the entries continue to make their way to the ring and are funneled out. Riddle, Gargano, Rollins, and finally MJF. The scene then shows the battle between the fresh man, Roman Reigns, and entry number twelve, Brock Anderson. The scene finally comes to an end with Reigns taking the victory and Brock heading to the back, in defeat. It fades to black and we’re brought to a camera filming backstage at the Footprint Arena in Phoenix. The camera is sighted in on Brock Anderson who stands in his business-casual attire with the Breakout championship draped across his shoulder. Brock looks to the camera with a smirk as he begins to speak.
Brock Anderson: And I stand here before you all… THE… Breakout champion.
He grins and then lowers his tone, to a level to where he is speaking to the camera instead of at the camera.
Brock Anderson: Lemme tell you, at Lone Survivor, I put a lot of people on notice about Brock Anderson. I told Seth and every single one of you that this title was going to go to the better man. And that it would be brought the respect that it deserves. Rollins, he was not only given the title but only stood to defend it once and we saw what happened. This title though… it’s more than the championship, it symbolizes what I am doing here in Eee-bee-dubya-eff. I broke out; I did what most, if any at all, could do at Lone Survivor. I rested for about thirty minutes after winning the Breakout championship and headed back out for the grand prize of the night. The opportunity to go to grand stage and face off against the World champ…And not only did I go in and lull around after coming off a hard fought match against Rollins, no…
Brock tightens the belt up on his shoulder and takes a deep breath before continuing.
Brock Anderson: I marched out to that ring like a horse named war and stood toe to toe with every man in that ring, men that several years – some decades – my senior. Men who have all the experience in the world with the Lone Survivor match, who know what it takes because they’ve lived it. But I proved my place, I stood my ground and I knew my place. And it was war. Riddle, eliminated… Gargano, eliminated… Rollins, wasn’t done with him for the night, eliminated. Max, I told you I wasn’t done with you and I have a feeling this..
Brock points to the camera and then back to himself.
Brock Anderson: We’re both young and plenty of fight left in the tank.. This ain’t done. But I closed the book on you at Lone Survivor.. eliminated. And the “man of the hour”… Reigns. The freshest man in the ring, didn’t have to show up hours early to go toe to toe with anyone for half an hour and didn’t even have to show up until the very end of the Lone Survivor match. You got me, Roman, but I believe without a shadow of a doubt I gave you what I had at that moment and even then I almost had you. So by all means, bask in the glory, bask in the victory and make every damn shot that you have against the champ count because it won’t be long and this train will come back around again.. I’m fairly certain of it.
Brock strokes his face, letting out another breath.
Brock Anderson: But I could groan and moan all day long about how I was “tired” and “wore down” but it doesn’t change the fact that I was runner-up and not the winner. But we take those small victories… and those big victories.
Brock slaps the Breakout championship as he refers to big victories”.
Brock Anderson: And we move on… And this week, we move on the Warfare here in Phoenix. Where yours truly, go face to face with Matt Riddle. Admittedly, I don’t know Matt from Adam… And if I saw him in a crowd, I’d likely think I needed to sign his shirt. But what I can tell you is from the outside looking in, he’s a failed MMA fighter with a tired act and he has a little bit of a… problem, if you get my drift.
Brock Anderson taps on his nose, then shrugs.
Brock Anderson: But that’s all speculation and I’ll set the record straight right now by saying I don’t underestimate anybody; regardless of how they present themselves. But I’ll call it as I see it and what I see is Riddle’s someone that is here by the company he keeps. Good on you, “bro”… No judgement, I get enough *explicit* myself on the relationships that I have in this business. But at the same time, I’m not fawning and flaunting over my relationships. I don’t ride around and rest on the laurels of my friends, kind of what it looks like you do, Riddle. In fact, I don’t know of ANYTHING that you’ve done here. Except for being at The Miz’s every move and using a tired tag line that’s been the go-to for a cheap reaction. Hell of a way to stay relevant… But that’s beside the point, because regardless of who you are, what you’ve done, what company you associate yourself with. We’re taking this war to the TOP, and the same man that threw you out of the ring at Lone Survivor is gonna be the same one that puts your ass on the dirt and gets three count. One *slaps hands* Two *slaps hands* Three *slaps hands*.
Brock snears at the camera as he walks away from the set and the scene fades to black.
