EBWF has announced that it's come to terms with Mina Shirakawa and AZM on their official releases. Shirakawa first arrived in EBWF in the summer of 2022 alongside Utami Hayashishita as a member of the once-dominant Queen's Court faction. After breaking away from the group she became a favorite of the EWBF universe, but one who was regularly sidelined with injuries. Most recently she was injured during a singles match against Maika in May of 2023 and has been out of action ever since. AZM, one of the youngest signings in EBWF history, debuted in the summer of 2023 when she revealed herself as the second member of Oedo Tai in EBWF. A much hyped prospect, she appeared in a few matches in EBWF including the Warfare Games match between Oedo Tai and Rebellious Angels. After being forced out of the unit by Tam Nakano, it's reported she asked for her immediate release to return to Japan.
In other news it's been reported that Io Shirai has vacated the WWE Women's Championship and been granted her release by TKO Holdings. While her future is uncertain after finally reaching the top in WWE, rumors have surfaced that she is likely to return to Japan, possibly rejoining the STARDOM promotion alongside AZM. More information will be provided as we get more updates.
