The show opened with Liv Morgan warming up backstage for her tag match, which was opening the show. Suddenly, Liv was struck from behind.
Mauro Ranallo: What the hell?
Liv arched her back in pain and let out a groan as she fell to the floor. The camera panned out to reveal Nikki Cross holding a lead pipe with a sick smile on her face. Nikki hit Liv in the back again before she dropped the pipe and pounced on Liv, punching, scratching and clawing at her as Liv tried to push her off. Nikki grabbed Liv by the hair and slammed her head against a nearby crate multiple times.
Nigel McGuinness: Someone needs to stop this!
Finally, Alexa Bliss ran into view and shoved Nikki off of Liv. Before the two could go at it, The Big Show walked in and scooped Nikki up, pulling her away as she fought to get back to the two blondes.
The Big Show: You’ll get her later Nikki.
Officials appeared and checked on Liv as she tried to get to her feet. After helping her up, the officials tried to get Liv to the trainers’ room, but she pushed them away.
Alexa Bliss: Liv, what are you doing?
Liv Morgan: We have a match to get to.
Liv held her back in pain as she walked away and Alexa reluctantly followed.
After the opening credits for Warfare, the camera cut to a shot of the stage. “Shitlist” by L7 hit and the crowd cheered as Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan made their way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Get ready, folks… it’s time for Warfare! If you’re just joining us, a few moments ago Liv Morgan was attacked backstage at the start of the show…
A replay as shown of Nikki Cross attacking Liv Morgan as Alexa and Liv headed down the ramp.
Nigel McGuinness: Liv Morgan refused medical assistance, but surely she can’t be 100% after that attack, which will put team Liv N Bliss at a disadvantage against Oedo Tai.
When Alexa and Liv were in the ring, “Senbonzakura” by Wagakki Band hit, and the fans inside the arena booed as Tam Nakano and Himeka Arita stepped out onto the stage. Tam and Himeka posted at the top of the ramp, taunting the crowd, before heading down to the ring. As the bell rang, Liv Morgan and Himeka Arita started the match, despite Alexa begging Liv to let her start the match for Team Liv N Bliss. Liv went to lock up with Himeka, but Himeka quickly overpowered Liv, taking her down with a back drop before stomping on her several times. Himeka then pulled Liv to her feet and threw her into the corner, before pummeling her with a series of punches and kicks.
Mauro Ranallo: Himeka Arita showcasing her raw power here, Nigel! Liv Morgan needs to find a way to neutralize the strength of her opponent.
Nigel McGuinness: That's easier said than done, Mauro! Liv's resilience is commendable, but she's clearly feeling the effects of that attack by Nikki Cross.
Himeka then sat Liv on the turnbuckle, setting her up for a superplex… but Liv countered it, hitting a sunset flip powerbomb! Liv then tagged in Alexa, and as Alexa entered the ring, she hit Himeka with a series of lightning-fast strikes.
Mauro Ranallo: Here comes Alexa Bliss, who seems more determined than ever tonight! Did you see that look of fire in her eyes as she entered the ring, Nigel?
Nigel McGuinness: Alexa might be determined, but don't count Himeka out just yet, Mauro! She's a force to be reckoned with in that ring.
Alexa hit Himeka with a DDT, then hooked the leg. The referee counted - 1… 2… Himeka kicked out! Alexa pulled Himeka to her feet and went to whip her against the ropes… but Himeka reversed the Irish whip, sending Alexa into the ropes before taking her down with a powerslam. Himeka then lifted Alexa up, setting her up for the JP Coaster… but Alexa broke free and hit a swinging neckbreaker, then climbed to the top rope. Alexa went for Twisted Bliss… but Himeka moved out of the way at the last second!
Mauro Ranallo: Twisted Bliss… no! Could this swing the momentum in Oedo Tai’s favor?
Himeka and Alexa moved towards their respective corners, tagging in Tam Nakano and Liv Morgan. As Liv entered the ring, she charged towards Tam… but Tam reacted quickly, blindsiding Liv Morgan with a devastating Violet Shoot knee strike!
Nigel McGuinness: What a vicious strike by Tam Nakano! This could be game over for Liv Morgan, Mauro!
Tam hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Liv kicked out just before the 3! As Tam got to her feet, she glared down at Liv, who was still down on the mat, then dragged Liv to her feet and applied a hammerlock, setting her up for the Twilight Dream… but Liv was able to counter with a cutter! The crowd cheered, and Liv stomped on Tam several times, then pulled Tam to her feet and hit a reverse roundhouse kick! Liv hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Tam kicked out! Liv then signaled for ObLIVion, but Himeka Arita entered the ring and attacked Liv! Alexa entered the ring to even the odds, and she threw Himeka out of the ring, then hit her with a suicide dive! As Alexa and Himeka brawled at ringside, Liv whipped Tam against the ropes and went for ObLIVion… but Tam countered with a Uranage Slam! There was a loud thud as Liv hit the mat, and as Liv cried out in pain, Tam seized her opportunity, hoisting Liv up for the dreaded Violet Screwdriver, then driving her headfirst into the mat with bone-jarring impact!
Mauro Ranallo: Violet Screwdriver! Tam Nakano plants Liv Morgan with authority!
As Tam made the cover, Alexa tried to get into the ring to break it up, but before she could do so, Himeka grabbed her and threw her into the ringside barrier. The referee counted - 1… 2… 3!
Nigel McGuinness: It’s over! Oedo Tai wins!
The arena erupted into boos as Oedo Tai celebrated their victory.
After the match, the camera cut to Renee Young backstage.
Renee Young: Good evening, EBWF fans! On behalf of EBWF’s Chairman and CEO Wes Ikeda, I have an announcement regarding the Gateway Championship. A tournament will take place over the next few weeks to crown a new EBWF Gateway Champion, with the final of the Gateway Championship tournament scheduled for Fallout. Following his victory over Adam Cole last week, the new Breakout Champion Aiden English has received a bye and automatically advances to the semi finals. Stone Cold Steve Austin also receives a bye and will enter the tournament at the semi final stage as a result of his impressive performance in the Last Survivor match. English and Austin’s opponents will be determined by two first round matches, which will take place on Warfare next week. The former Breakout and Gateway Champion Adam Cole will have the opportunity to regain the Gateway Championship, as he is set to take on MJF in the first round of the tournament. The winner of that match will face Stone Cold Steve Austin, while Aiden English’s opponent in the semi finals will be the winner of the other first round match between Seth Rollins and The Miz.
As Renee finished speaking, a tournament bracket graphic appeared on the screen, before the camera cut back to Renee.
Renee Young: Good luck to all the EBWF superstars competing in the Gateway Championship! Mauro, Nigel, back to you.
Mauro Ranallo: Well there you have it, folks! The Gateway Championship tournament starts next week with Seth Rollins versus The Miz, and MJF versus the former Gateway Champion, Adam Cole!
Nigel McGuinness: Up next tonight though, we’ve got the Rebel Heart versus the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil as Johnny Gargano goes one on one with Hook!
Gargano made his way to the ring first, followed by Hook. When both men were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Gargano and Hook locked up in the center of the ring, but Hook was able to overpower Gargano and he pushed Gargano back into the corner, then went for a corner clothesline… but Gargano ducked underneath it, then spun around and hit Hook with a series of punches, before whipping Hook against the ropes. As Hook ran back towards him, Gargano went for an arm drag, but Hook blocked it, then hit a headlock takedown. Both men got to their feet, and Hook whipped Gargano into the corner, then hit him with a series of punches and kicks.
Mauro Ranallo: There appears to be no love lost between these two, Nigel!
Hook dragged Gargano back towards the center of the ring, and set Gargano up for a powerbomb… but as he lifted Gargano up, Gargano countered with a hurricanrana! As both men got to their feet, Gargano hit Hook with a superkick, then covered him. The referee counted - 1… 2… Hook kicked out! Gargano got to his feet and stomped on Hook several times, then moved onto the ring apron. When Hook was on his feet, Gargano jumped over the ropes, going for the Slingshot DDT… but Hook caught Gargano, lifted him up over his shoulders, then hit a fireman’s carry slam!
Nigel McGuinness: What a counter by Hook!
Hook pinned Gargano, hooking the leg as the referee counted - 1… 2… Gargano kicked out! Hook got to his feet and stood over Gargano, waiting for Gargano to get to his feet. When Gargano was up, Hook went for Redrum… but before he could lock it in, Gargano hit a stunner! Hook stumbled backwards, looking dazed, and Gargano hit an enzuigiri, taking Hook down to the mat. Gargano then locked Hook in the Gargano Escape!
Mauro Ranallo: Gargano Escape locked in! Hook set he was going to choke Gargano out… but is Johnny Wrestling about to make Hook tap?
As Hook tried to get to the ropes or break out of the hold, two men hopped over the ringside barrier and entered the ring, attacking Johnny Gargano! The camera zoomed in, revealing it was Christian and Seth Rollins! The referee called for the bell, ending the match.
Nigel McGuinness: Well, Johnny Gargano has technically won this match via disqualification… but this isn’t the way he would have wanted to win!
Mauro Ranallo: And even if it’s via DQ, it’s another loss on Hook’s record… he doesn’t have many of them, Nigel! So I’m sure Hook won’t be happy either.
Nigel McGuinness: He should be thanking Christian Cage and Seth Rollins, Mauro! They just saved him from the embarrassment of having to submit to Johnny Gargano!
After hitting Gargano with a DDT, Christian instructed Rollins to grab a couple of chairs. Rollins did so, sliding one chair into the ring before going to re-enter the ring with the other chair… but as he got back in the ring, Hook snatched the chair from Rollins, tossed it aside, then hit Rollins with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex, slamming him onto the chair! As Hook got to his feet, Christian grabbed the other chair and hit Hook with it, knocking him down to the mat. Christian hit Hook with the chair several more times, then set him up for the Con-chair-to… but Gargano intervened, taking the chair off Christian and hitting Christian over the head with it! As Christian hit the mat, he rolled out of the ring, then dragged Rollins out of the ring to save him from further harm.
Mauro Ranallo: Well as the saying goes, “the enemy of the enemy is my friend”... and it seems we’ve got an unlikely alliance between Johnny Gargano and Hook!
As Christian and Rollins retreated up the ramp, Johnny Gargano helped Hook to his feet. Hook and Gargano shook hands as Warfare went to a commercial break.
As Warfare returned from the commercial break, the camera cut to Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness at ringside.
Mauro Ranallo: Welcome back! In our main event tonight, we’ve got the 2024 Women’s Last Survivor Becky Lynch in action as she goes one on one with Jade Cargill… but up next, we’re set to hear from the 2024 Men’s Last Survivor, Chris Jericho!
Nigel McGuinness: Hold on a minute, Mauro… I’m hearing there has been some commotion backstage!
The camera cut to the backstage area, where Chris Jericho’s locker room door was ajar. Jericho was laid out on the floor of his locker room, busted open. A medic was tending to him, but Jericho appeared to be out cold.
Mauro Ranallo: Oh come on! Who did this?
Nigel McGuinness: We’ll have to see if our camera crew caught anyone in the act, Mauro… could the man behind this attack be the man that Jericho is set to challenge for the World Title at Fallout, Damian Priest?
Mauro Ranallo: That’s pure speculation, Nigel! Besides, it doesn’t seem like Priest’s style…
Nigel McGuinness: Well, whoever was behind the attack, it doesn’t look like we’ll be hearing from Jericho tonight…
Another medic entered Jericho’s locker room as Warfare abruptly cut to a video package promoting Fallout.
The Fallout promotional video ended and the tron lit up to reveal Kayla Braxton backstage.
Kayla Braxton: Joining me now is the Chief Brand Officer of EBWF, Nicole Ikeda. Ms. Ikeda, I wanted to discuss the brutal attack on Trish Stratus two weeks ago, but just a few minutes ago, Chris Jericho was attacked and I’m just wondering what is being done to ensure the safety of EBWF’s talent.
Nicole Ikeda: It’s a fair question, Kayla.
Nicole’s hair was down, and she wore a black laced corset under a hot pink blazer. She seemed to choose her words carefully.
Nicole Ikeda: And I wish I could say we have an answer. The cowardice of these anonymous attacks, the one on Trish Stratus, the one on Chris Jericho…
She shook her head.
Nicole Ikeda: Let me make myself very clear. Chris Jericho’s attacker, or attackers, will be found out and they will be punished to the fullest extent of the EBWF Board of Director’s power. And to the women’s division? Let me put you all on notice. This women’s division has more talent at any point in history, but talent doesn’t make up for a complete lack of disregard for this industry and it’s great heritage. I will be holding each of you accountable for any bad behavior. You’re all grown ass women. ACT like it.
Nicole thanked Kayla and walked out of the frame as Kayla nodded after her and EBWF went to commercial.
When EBWF returned from commercial, Jade Cargill was already in the ring. "Celtic Invasion" hit the PA and the crowd cheered the arrival of Becky Lynch.
Mauro Ranallo: Jade Cargill is looking confident!
Nigel McGuinness: That may be, but nothing can beat the unshakable confidence of The Man!
Becky got into the ring and the referee rang the bell. They circled the ring, and Cargill quickly grabbed the arm. Lynch fought out, but Cargill grabbed the arm and twisted it. Cargill hit a waistlock takeover. Lynch soon grabbed the arm and set up for a Dis-Arm-Her. Cargill fought it and rolled her up for a two-count. Cargill pushed off another Dis-Arm-Her attempt.
Mauro Ranallo: Jade Cargill tried to surprise the 2024 Last Surviror, but to no avail!
Cargill knocked Lynch to the corner and hit a running knee to the face. Cargill set up for a headlock, but Becky pushed her off and ran her out of the ring. Lynch hit a baseball slide. She came off the apron, but Cargill grabbed her in an abdominal stretch attempt. Lynch fought out, but Cargill kicked her down. Cargill wedged Lynch’s hand into the steel steps and kicked it. Lynch grabbed her hand in pain.
Nigel McGuinness: Jade Cargill trying to neutralize Becky Lynch.
Jade worked Becky back into the ring, but when she crawled in under the bottom rope, Lynch kicked away at her. Lynch hit the ropes, ducked a clothesline, and hit a running shoulder tackle. Lynch clutched her injured arm in pain. Lynch avalanched Cargill in the corner and went for a Bexploder, but Cargill fought it. Cargill connected with a German Suplex, followed by a running knee for a two-count. Cargill taunted the crowd by flexing her muscles, and went to stomp the arm, but Lynch avoided it. Lynch went for a Manhandle Slam, but Cargill got out. Cargill soon slung Lynch down and got her on the apron. Lynch knocked Cargill back and came off the top rope with a missile dropkick. Lynch covered her.

Nigel McGuinness: A kickout from Cargill!
Cargill kicked out. Lynch immediately applied a Dis-Arm-Her, but Cargill powered out. Lynch was knocked throat-first into the ropes. Cargill went for a shoulder, but Lynch avoided it and kicked her in the face. Lynch went to the top rope, but Cargill kicked her in the head and slammed her onto the mat. Cargill hit a running knee for a near fall. Lynch got out of a German Suplex and hit a reverse DDT for a two-count. Lynch went for a Manhandle Slam, but Cargill got out and tried to apply the headlock again. Lynch pushed her off and sent Cargill to the apron. Lynch kicked and clubbed away at Cargill. Lynch got to the second rope and leapt, but Cargill avoided it. Cargill snapped the left arm off the top rope. Cargill kept a hold of her hair and pulled her up onto the second rope with her. Lynch attacked and connected with a superplex. Lynch immediately went for a cross-arm breaker, but Cargill fought it. Cargill hit an inverted gutwrench suplex for a near fall.
Mauro Ranallo: Becky Lynch kicked out, and Jade Cargill cannot believe it!
Cargill talked trash to Lynch, so Lynch slapped her. The crowd cheered as they exchanged slaps in the center of the ring. Cargill went for the pump kick, but Becky dodged it and twisted into a Manhandle Slam!
Nigel McGuinness: Are you kidding me!
Becky scrambled for the pin.

Mauro Ranallo: A huge win for Becky Lynch!
Nigel McGuinness: Just what The Man needs on her way to Fallout and the EBWF Women’s Champinship.
“Celtic Invasion” hit again as the crowd cheered Becky’s victory. She stood on the turnbuckle with her arm raised proudly as EBWF went off the air.
