The scene opened backstage at the Canada Life Centre, where EBWF Warfare was taking place. The camera zoomed in on Britt Baker, who was standing in front of an EBWF-branded backdrop, which also had the Queen of the Ring tournament logo prominently displayed. Britt was dressed in her wrestling gear, and as the camera started rolling, she began to speak.
Britt Baker: Tonight, on Warfare, I begin my quest to ascend the throne, then claim the gold. We’re almost at the end of the first round of the Queen of the Ring tournament, and talk about saving the best until last… I mean me, of course, not my opponent.
Baker smirked, then continued.
Britt Baker: In the first round, I’m facing someone I’ve beaten before. Someone who’s still... would it be disrespectful if I called her green? How about if I called her a nepo baby? In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m talking about Ava Johnson.
Baker stared towards the camera as she began to address Ava directly.
Britt Baker: Ava, you might have the famous family name, and daddy dearest’s legacy, but we both know that’s the only reason you’re even here. Because from what I’ve seen so far, you don’t have much else… potential, maybe, but no more than hundreds of other women across the United States and Canada who dream of becoming a professional wrestler, but don’t have a famous father to open doors for them. You see Ava, while you’ve been handed opportunities on a silver platter, I’ve been busting my ass to get to where I am.
Britt’s eyes narrowed as she leaned closer to the camera.
Britt Baker: I’ve wrestled around the world, faced the best, given blood, sweat and tears for this business… and I still don’t get the respect I deserve. But you? You waltz in here with your famous last name and everyone’s falling over themselves to give you a chance. Your name might have gotten you an EBWF contract, but what have you done to prove you belong here? Answer: Absolutely nothing. When I faced you in your debut match, I showed you exactly what it takes to be at the top. I beat you then, and I’m more than ready to beat you again. You’re stepping into the ring with someone who’s earned their spot here, and I’ll be damned if I let some privileged newbie take what I’ve worked so hard for.
The intensity in Baker’s voice rose.
Britt Baker: Ava, this isn’t Hollywood. This is EBWF. This is real. You think you can just stroll in here and take over? Not on my watch. I’m going to show you, and everyone else, what it takes to be an EBWF superstar. It takes skill, dedication, and the heart of a champion. And that’s something you’ll never understand. So bring your best, Ava. Bring everything you’ve got. Because when we step into that ring, I’m going to prove once again that I’m the rightful Queen of the Ring. And when it’s all said and done, I’ll be the one standing tall, with my hand raised high, on my way to becoming the EBWF Women's Champion.
Baker grinned confidently, then walked off as the scene drew to a close.
