Mauro Ranallo: Get ready, folks... It's time for Warfare! Tonight, we are live from Wichita, Kansas!
Nigel McGuinness: And what a way to kick things off, Mauro! We’ve got a huge tag team match coming up as The Unleashed, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong, take on the monstrous duo of Brian Cage and Mads Krügger.
Mauro Ranallo: There’s no denying that Cage and Krügger have the size and strength advantage, but Cole and Strong are two of the most intelligent competitors in EBWF. Plus, they’ve got far more experience as a team, which could work in their favor!
Cage and Krügger were already in the ring, pacing back and forth as they awaited the arrival of their opponents. “Unleashed” by Killswitch Engage hit, and the crowd booed as Adam Cole and Roderick Strong made their way to the ring. As the bell rang, Adam Cole stepped forward to start things off against Brian Cage. Cole circled his opponent, looking for an opening, but Cage wasted no time charging in. Cole dodged at the last second, sidestepping the big man and delivering a swift kick to the back of Cage’s leg. Cage shook it off and lunged again, this time catching Cole in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. With sheer power, Cage shoved Cole halfway across the ring, sending him tumbling to the mat.
Nigel McGuinness: Adam Cole just got launched like a frisbee in a hurricane!
Mauro Ranallo: That’s the power of The Machine, Brian Cage!
Cole quickly rolled to his feet and tagged in Roderick Strong. Strong rushed at Cage with a series of stiff forearms, trying to weaken him, but Cage barely budged. Instead, Cage scooped Strong up and drove him into the mat with a thunderous powerslam. He went for an early cover. 1… Strong kicked out! Cage pulled Strong up and muscled him into his corner, tagging in Mads Krügger. The masked behemoth stepped over the ropes and immediately drove a boot into Strong’s midsection, doubling him over. Krügger followed up with a clubbing forearm to the back, then tossed Strong across the ring like a ragdoll.
Mauro Ranallo: The Unleashed are in serious trouble right now. Roderick Strong is being thrown around like he weighs nothing!
Nigel McGuinness: The key for Cole and Strong is to use their speed and their ring smarts. They can’t match Cage and Krügger in raw power!
Krügger grabbed Strong and lifted him up for a delayed vertical suplex, showing off his incredible strength. But Strong wriggled free mid-air, landing behind Krügger and immediately delivering a chop block to the back of the big man’s knee! Krügger dropped to one leg, and Strong capitalized with a sickening jumping knee strike to the skull! With Krügger momentarily stunned, Strong tagged in Adam Cole. Cole wasted no time, leaping onto the top rope and delivering a picture-perfect springboard dropkick to Krügger’s chest. The big man stumbled back, allowing Cole to hit him with a series of rapid-fire superkicks, each one rocking Krügger further. As Krügger fell to a knee, Cole ran the ropes and connected with a devastating Shining Wizard!
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia! Adam Cole just took the monster down!
Nigel McGuinness: But he’s not done yet, Mauro!
Cole went for the cover, but Krügger kicked out at two! Cole wasted no time, locking in a front facelock and trying to wear the big man down. Krügger slowly powered his way to his feet, though, lifting Cole clean off the mat and tossing him backward with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Cole crashed hard, clutching his back in pain as Krügger stumbled to his corner and tagged in Brian Cage. Cage rushed in like a freight train, charging at Cole and flattening him with a running lariat! He then grabbed Cole by the wrist, yanked him to his feet, and launched him overhead with an exploder suplex! Cole tumbled into his corner, where Strong tagged himself in. Strong charged at Cage, hitting him with a series of punches, but Cage fought back with some right hands of his own, then lifted Strong onto his shoulders, hitting an Argentine neckbreaker!
Mauro Ranallo: The Machine is running at full speed tonight!
Nigel McGuinness: This could be over right here!
Cage covered, but Cole rushed in to break up the pinfall at the last second! Krügger stormed into the ring, going after Cole, but Cole ducked a big boot and hit a superkick to Krügger’s knee. Strong, meanwhile, recovered enough to drill Cage with an enzuigiri! Cage staggered, and Strong capitalized, lifting him up and planting him with a double-knee backbreaker! Both men were down, and the crowd roared as they crawled towards their respective corners. Cage reached Krügger first, tagging him in, but just as Krügger stepped through the ropes, Strong dove and tagged in Adam Cole! As Cole entered the ring, Krügger charged towards him, going for a clothesline… but Cole ducked underneath it, then grabbed Krügger from behind, hitting a backstabber! As Krügger got back to his feet, Cole hit an armbar DDT, then climbed to the top rope… before hitting Krügger with the Panama Sunrise! He hooked both legs, and the referee counted - 1… 2… Cage broke up the count!
Mauro Ranallo: Brian Cage got there just in time to prevent Adam Cole from getting the victory!
As Cage pummeled Cole, Roderick Strong rushed into the ring, hitting Cole with a leaping knee to the jaw! Cage fell through the ropes to the outside, and Strong helped Cole to his feet, then followed Cage to the outside. Cole sat Krügger up, pulled down his kneepad, then ran the ropes and drilled Krügger with The Boom! Cole hooked the leg, and the referee counted - 1… 2… 3! The bell rang, and the crowd booed as Adam Cole and Roderick Strong had their hands raised in victory.
Mauro Ranallo: What a huge win for The Unleashed! Adam Cole and Roderick Strong just proved that brains and strategy can overcome brute force.
Nigel McGuinness: This is exactly the kind of momentum they need heading into Last Survivor!
Cole and Strong celebrated as Warfare went to a commercial break.
When Warfare returned from the commercial break, “Cult of Personality” hit, and the fans inside the INTRUST Bank Arena leapt to their feet as the EBWF World Champion, CM Punk, stepped out onto the stage. He wore his standard uniform of blue jeans and a Best in the World t-shirt. His EBWF World Championship was around his waist, and he slapped hands with fans along the ramp way as he made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: And here is the EBWF World Champion, CM Punk, making an unscheduled appearance! I wonder what he’s got planned here in Wichita.
Nigel McGuinness: Knowing CM Punk, Mauro, I suspect he’s got something to say.
Punk climbed up on the ring apron, and got in the ring. He took a walk around the mat, interacting with the crowd until his music finally cut.
CM Punk: Is it a great time to be alive on a Monday night in Wichita, Kansas or what?
The crowd cheered their agreement.
CM Punk: I mean, I’m having a great time. Glad I could make sure you all got to see the champ, but I kind of feel like maybe something is missing. I’m being told I have to wait until after Last Survivor to even get a contender for this championship. Because no one has the stones to step up! Because that whole locker room seems to be full of coward…
Before Punk could finish what he was saying, “The Epic” by Downstait hit, and the crowd cheered as Britt Baker stepped out onto the stage. Baker was wearing a pair of black jeans, a black and gold leather jacket, and her latest t-shirt, which had “D-M-F’N-D” emblazoned on the front. Baker strutted down the ramp, and as she entered the ring, she looked at CM Punk, smirking.
CM Punk: I mean, I believe you have the stones, Britt - but I don’t think the brass would allow it for one second.
Baker chuckled, and shook her head.
Britt Baker: Relax, Punk… I’m not here to challenge you for the title. Even if the brass would allow it, I think the internet would have a meltdown if that happened. But I’m not out here for that. I’m out here because, like you, I don’t have an opponent for Last Survivor… but I do have an idea that, if you’re on board with it, would allow us to do something a little different.
CM Punk: You have my attention.
He gestured as if to give her the floor.
Britt Baker: Alright then. Well first of all, I have a lot of respect for you, Punk, and I do love an open challenge. But at the same time… I know you worked hard to win that EBWF World Title, and I sure as hell worked hard to regain this EBWF Women’s Championship. So at the risk of sounding like a gatekeeper, don’t you think people need to earn the right to challenge us for these titles? Especially if you’re planning to give an opportunity to someone who isn’t even under contract with EBWF… if you think Wes wouldn’t allow you and I to go one on one, imagine how he’d feel about you risking an Alundra Blayze situation.
CM Punk: I mean, no one has ever accused him of being bright, but go on…
Britt Baker: So how about this for an open challenge? You and I team up, for the first time ever. The World and the Women’s Champion, side by side, in a mixed tag open challenge. The first man and woman to step up and take on the Second City Saint and the Doctor can both earn themselves a title opportunity… but only if they beat us. Whaddya say?
Punk seemed to consider her for a moment.
CM Punk: A lot of people talk about respect, but very few people put their money where their mouth is.
He pointed to her Women’s World Championship.
CM Punk: Dr. Baker, it would be my honor.
He extended his hand further for a handshake. Grinning, Baker shook Punk’s hand. Punk turned his attention to the entrance area.
CM Punk: So I hope we have the whole world’s attention now! Because whoever thinks they can show up and take on the two best wrestlers in the industry today, the D. M. Fuckin’. D and the Best in the World, whoever thinks they want their shot? Well, we’ll see you at Last Survivor!
Punk raised Baker’s hand up in the air, and “Cult of Personality” hit once more before a video promoting the Last Survivor pay-per-view began to play.
Mauro Ranallo: It’s time for our main event, and what a high-stakes battle we have in store! Alexa Bliss, Jamie Hayter, and Mina Shirakawa will compete in a triple threat match, and the winner will earn the right to pick their entry number for the Last Survivor match!
Nigel McGuinness: That’s right, Mauro, and in an unprecedented move, EBWF management has banned all other superstars from ringside! If anyone tries to interfere, they will be suspended and forfeit their spot at Last Survivor. That means no Liv Morgan, no Rhea Ripley, and no Himeka!
Mauro Ranallo: That puts all three competitors on an even playing field… at least for now. But you have to imagine that there’s a lot of tension between them. Alexa Bliss and Jamie Hayter have been at each other’s throats for weeks, and Mina Shirakawa still holds a grudge against Jamie Hayter for walking away from Oedo Tai when Tam Nakano left!
The crowd erupted as “Immortal” by Adema hit and Alexa Bliss made her way to the ring. Jamie Hayter came out next, looking intense and focused, her disdain for Bliss clear from the glare she gave her as she walked down the ramp. Mina Shirakawa was out last to arrive, exuding arrogance as she sauntered to the ring. When all three women were in the ring, the referee called for the bell, and immediately, Hayter and Mina exchanged a quick glance - an unspoken alliance forming as they turned their attention to Bliss. Bliss was quick to react, ducking as they both charged towards her. Wasting no time, Bliss spun around and hit Mina with a series of forearm strikes, then turned and hit Hayter with a sharp dropkick, sending her rolling under the ropes.
Nigel McGuinness: Smart strategy from Alexa Bliss - separating her opponents and keeping the numbers game from working against her!
Bliss turned back to Mina, setting her up for a suplex, but Mina blocked it and struck Bliss with a knee to the midsection before whipping her against the ropes. As Bliss ran back towards her, Mina went for a clothesline, but Bliss ducked and rebounded, taking Mina down with a headscissors takedown! Before Bliss could capitalize, Hayter re-entered the ring, grabbing Bliss and throwing her into the corner with force. Hayter charged forward, but Bliss got her boots up, catching Hayter in the face! As Hayter stumbled backwards, Mina capitalized on the moment, rolling Bliss up from behind! The referee counted - 1… 2… Bliss broke up the count! Bliss went to throw Mina out of the ring, but Mina reversed it, tossing Bliss to the outside. Mina then turned her attention to Jamie Hayter, who was back on her feet. Mina hit Hayter, with a stiff right hand, but Hayter responded with a thunderous European uppercut, knocking Mina to the ground. Hayter followed up with an STO backbreaker, then hooked the leg. The referee counted - 1… 2… Mina kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: A chaotic, fast-paced battle! No one is letting up!
As Hayter got to her feet, Alexa Bliss re-entered the ring. She grabbed Hayter from behind, hitting a swinging reverse STO! She hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Mina broke up the count! She then pulled Bliss to her feet and hit her with a running bulldog, sending the former Women’s Champion face-first into the mat. Mina then turned her attention back to Jamie Hayter, punching her against the ring mat several times before pulling Hayter to her feet. Mina attempted to whip Hayter into the corner, but Hayter reversed it, sending Mina crashing into the turnbuckles. Hayter charged at Mina and connected with a clothesline, then lifted Mina onto the top rope. Hayter climbed up, looking for a superplex, but Bliss recovered and darted over, slipping between Hayter’s legs. With a burst of strength, Bliss powerbombed Hayter, sending both her and Mina crashing to the mat!
Nigel McGuinness: What a counter! Bliss just turned the tables on both of her opponents!
All three women lay sprawled on the mat, catching their breath as the crowd roared. Bliss was the first to stir, crawling over to Hayter and draping an arm over her. The referee counted - 1… 2… Hayter got the shoulder up! Bliss, showing frustration, turned to Mina and went for a cover. The referee counted once more - 1… 2… Mina kicked out! Bliss sat up, shaking her head in disbelief.
Mauro Ranallo: Alexa Bliss can’t believe it! She thought she had the match won, but both Jamie Hayter and Mina Shirakawa are displaying impressive resilience!
As she got to her feet, Alexa grabbed Jamie Hayter, setting her up for a DDT… but Hayter countered with a back body drop! As Bliss stumbled to her feet, Hayter charged towards her, hitting the Hayterade! She hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Mina broke it up!
Mina dragged Hayter to her feet and laid into her with a series of punches and slaps, followed by a spinning backfist that sent Hayter reeling. With Hayter dazed, Mina got behind her and hit a German suplex, bridging into a pin. The referee counted - 1… 2… Hayter got a shoulder up! As Mina got to her feet, she locked eyes with Alexa Bliss, who was staring her down. As Bliss and Mina squared off, Hayter rolled out of the ring, giving herself a chance to recover. Mina and Alexa Bliss exchanged right hands back and forth, and after gaining the upper hand, Mina went to whip Bliss against the ropes… but Bliss reversed the Irish whip, sending Mina into the ropes before hitting a dropkick. As Bliss got back to her feet, Jamie Hayter re-entered the ring and charged towards Bliss, going for a second Hayterade… but Bliss ducked underneath it, then hit Hayter with a snap DDT! Bliss then climbed to the top rope, and with the crowd roaring in anticipation, Bliss took flight, hitting Hayter with Twisted Bliss! Bliss hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Mina dove in and broke up the count!
Mauro Ranallo: SO CLOSE! Alexa Bliss nearly had it!
Mina, furious, grabbed Bliss and drove her into the mat with an impaler DDT, leaving her motionless. With Bliss out of commission, Mina turned her focus back to Hayter, lifting her up and planting her with the Glamorous Driver MINA! Mina hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… 3! The bell rang, and the crowd erupted in a mix of cheers and boos as Mina Shirakawa stood victorious, smirking as she raised her arms in triumph.
Nigel McGuinness: Mina Shirakawa has done it! She’s won the right to choose her entry number for Last Survivor!
Mauro Ranallo: And she just held up one finger - she’s going to enter at number one! Mina Shirakawa wants to prove she can outlast everyone in the Last Survivor match!
As Mina continued celebrating, “The Epic” hit, and the crowd cheered as the EBWF Women’s Champion, Britt Baker, emerged from the back, making her second appearance of the evening. Baker stood atop the stage, smirking as she lifted her championship high in the air, taunting the victorious Mina Shirakawa. Mina locked eyes with Baker, nodding as she pointed at the title.
Nigel McGuinness: This could be a glimpse into the future, Mauro! Mina Shirakawa wants the gold, and Britt Baker knows she’s coming for it!
Mauro Ranallo: All eyes are now on Last Survivor!
Warfare went off the air with Mina and Britt Baker staring one another down.
