Far from the soon to be rocking confines of Amerant Bank Arena as Last Survivor 2025 draws ever near. Far from the darkness which has traditionally accompanied Oedo Tai in its EBWF run. That’s where we find the Venus of Oedo Tai and her teammate Himeka. Out in the slight overcast Florida winter afternoon she strolls idly down the beach, eyes cast out to sea. Himeka’s just a few steps behind, arms swinging back and forth as she takes in what’s likely the last relaxation she’ll get for a few days. Eventually Mina slows to a stop, taking a moment to pose sexily for the camera she’s been aware of the entire time.
Mina Shirakawa: Well hello there. Like what you see? I’m glad. Because all of this -
She motions up and down her figure.
Mina Shirakawa Is all for you. Everything you see here, everything that the Venus does in the ring, it’s all for the world to acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate. Now I now some of you aren’t all that keen on celebrating Oedo Tai, let alone me. That’s dumb, shortsighted and guaranteed to leave you with heartbreak. I’m no stranger to breaking hearts, really, so it doesn’t matter much to me which you choose. But if you’re one of the doubters or haters who’ve been waiting on the edge of your seats for the moment Oedo Tai finally crumbles? Maybe even expecting our momentum to evaporate?
Mina glances over her shoulder to Himeka, both of them grinning confidently.
Himeka: Our Last Survivor performance is even more for you. You won’t even have to leave your seats to receive the gift of Oedo Tai! Aren’t we nice?
Both women chuckle before Mina looks back to the camera.
Mina ShirakawaThe nicest. Whether you want it or not, Last Survivor is the moment where all those doubts get burned away by the heat of the Venus. While you’ve been setting yourselves up for failure by praying for our downfall and telling yourself that Mina’s just an also-ran who never comes through when it matters - well, we’ve been taking care of business. I know you’re probably so star struck by our presence that you can’t remember - let me give you the rundown.
Mina smiles almost demurely.
Mina Shirakawa In 2025, Oedo Tai has been the most dominant unit in EBWF. You all left us for dead - just like you left me for dead after I was sidelined again - and then we faced off with Vaquer and Giulia. Two of the hottest rising stars in wrestling. What happened? They cooled off when they couldn’t hold a candle to our teamwork. Then the Ikedas saw fit to give me the opportunity of a lifetime against Lexie and Jamie. Everyone expected the two of them to compete for the win while I was also just there.. And who came out number one?
She shakes her hips in an improvised dance move.
Mina Shirakawa That’s right, me. Anyone else in my position would’ve chosen to enter #20 after beating two of the top wrestlers in the world. But for the first time in years I decided that no one’s above Mina. I’ve been working hard every single day for the past seven years to constantly improve myself, and nobody’s even noticed! For the longest time everyone just assumed that I was being paid to be pretty and nothing else. What a joke! Even in EBWF everyone’s always written me off as pretty but not good enough to hang with the best, let alone beat them. But who’s laughing now? Who has the entire world of EWBF in her hands to do with as she pleases?
Both members of the unit laugh.
Mina Shirakawa Me again! And I’m going to make sure no one ever thinks less of me just because I happen to be an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. I’ve already proven it in every match we’ve had since the Final Boss left town. After tonight, there won’t be any doubt that Mina Shirakawa is #1 not just in the Last Survivor match but in EBWF. I’m going out there first and setting a pace that no one else will be able to match. I’m going to run the gauntlet of the very best wrestlers on the planet and outlast every single one of them to prove I’m that much better. And when the final bell rings, you’ll all be dancing to my Cosmic Kuduro. You won’t just want Mina. You’ll need Mina, because only I can put on that kind of performance every single night. Only I can mix wrestling skill with sex appeal in a way that propels the sport into new heights of popularity! This is my stage, my spotlight and my EBWF now. At the end of the night there won’t be any doubts about the truth of that.
She cracks a wry smile.
Mina Shirakawa Not just that, but tonight we prove that Oedo Tai is more dangerous than ever. I’ll still be going strong by the time Himeka comes in at 10, and together we’re going to run through every last self-proclaimed superstar who gets in our way. Both of us have been forgotten and written off before this, but tonight we do whatever we want to whoever we want. And you know what? We’ve already gotten started on it.
She steps aside and smirks to Himeka. The Jumbo Princess smirks right back in a way that suggests some unspoken truth.
Himeka: That’s right. Mina and I got to talking, and we agreed that while two of us doing whatever we want is fun, it takes three to make a real party. Oedo Tai is all about us having fun and giving chances to women who don’t fit in anywhere else. So we made some calls.
Mina ShirakawaIt’s really the least we could do as longtime members of the EBWF roster. Both of us have had our careers grow exponentially by signing with the top level of wrestling, so why not help someone else get that same opportunity? We put in a good word for someone out of the kindness of our hearts, and the door’s open to anyone, whether they’re on the roster right now or not.
Mina winks to the camera - perhaps more for that party she’s just mentioned.
Mina Shirakawa No we’re not going to tell you who she is. You’ll just have to watch Last Survivor to find out - and even then, you might still be guessing after tonight. Depends what she chooses. It could be anyone! Maybe we’re lying and someone who’s already here steps through our door. Maybe someone unexpected comes and takes us up on the offer. But whatever happens, the winner can only be one woman - and I’m going to make damn sure it’s me.
Her tone’s grown less playful, but still just as confident.
Mina ShirakawaNow I could lay out every single woman who’s standing in my way, but that’s been done before. The way I see it, there’s a few categories of women in this match. First the women who’ve been here for years, but haven’t accomplished much in years either. Natalya, Rhea, Utami, Nikki, Liv. All of you can compete at the highest level, all of you have been able to hang with the top talent in the world. But none of you have been able to seal the deal when it matters. I used to be among your ranks and I know how frustrating that is. But I figured out the secret to success, while the rest of you are going to keep ramming your heads into the brick wall of mediocrity until you give yourselves concussions. I will take everything you have, keep pushing past the limits that would break you, and toss you out on your asses so you can enjoy the show from catering like usual.
She holds up two fingers as she moves on.
Mina Shirakawa Second is the girls who I know or I’m pretty sure are very new here. Ava, Mayu, Io I guess, Marina. All of you have a lot of hype and most of you have a metric ton of accomplishments under your belts. But in EBWF potential and past success don’t matter as much as what you’ve done lately. And what can I say? Three of you haven’t been in an EBWF ring for months, one of you just barely beat Rhea thanks to interference. Meanwhile I’ve been here regularly going to war for Oedo Tai and pushing every opponent to the limit. I’ve struck down plenty of women with potential and past accomplishments before, and I’m going to do that again to prove I’m leagues ahead of you all. Better luck next year.
A third finger goes up.
Mina ShirakawaThird is the legends of EBWF. The women whose accomplishments and failures make up the very fabric of EBWF. Trish, the second longest reigning women’s champ of all time. As much as I hate to admit it, Alexa goes here too - she’s been around forever and done things no one expected her to do. Becky’s finally finished filming her next movie, or whatever she was doing, and is back to moonlight as a wrestler before going back to the studio. All of you have won the big one before and made it your own. Facing you is my biggest challenge, and I’m not just rising to it. No, I’m going to drive you to the breaking point and then tossing you out like garbage to prove that Mina Shirakawa is elite. That Mina is number 1. Give me your best, and I’ll give you better.
Then a fourth finger.
Mina ShirakawaAnd then there’s Jamie. I’ve already run her down on the mic and beaten her clean in the middle of the ring. I’m sure that losing to someone she probably saw as a sidekick came out on top, and now she’s going to try and beat my ass. Poor girl can’t even keep her sights on one target. I thought for sure she’d be forcing Britt’s hand and challenging for the belt tonight. But nope, she’s coming back at us for another shot at Oedo Tai. Jamie, scream all you want and hit as hard as you like. In the end we’re just going to say Oedo-Bye to you by depositing you to the arena floor. If you want, you can step through the door and rejoin us. I mean, you’ll have to carry our bags and stuff, but we’re kind like that. If not? We’ll just settle for beating your ass tonight.
She shrugs and holds out her thumb.
Mina ShirakawaFinally we have the surprise entrants. The women making big debuts or returns that make Last Survivor the most exciting and unpredictable match in wrestling. Who knows who steps through that curtain! But I can predict this: I’ll be in that ring to see each and every last one of them make their big entrance and then get thrown out. Because I’m not letting anyone stop me from getting what I’ve set my eyes on. Not just being #1. Not just making Oedo Tai better. I’m going to be the next champion and take this place to new heights with my teammates. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
She makes the ‘title’ motion around her waist.
