Location: Becky’s Tour Bus; En route to Toronto
Time: 2:30PM
For the first time since losing the EBWF Women’s Championship in the summer of 2024, Becky Lynch will be in action tomorrow night as she looks to claim the Queen of the Ring crown for the third time. Initially, she was scheduled for the Last Survivor match, but the wildfires put a stop to that. Now that everything seems to be fine, Becky will make her return. Riding on the tour bus with Becky, of course, is her girlfriend, Winter.
Winter: “So, are you ready for tomorrow, love?”
Becky looks at Jamie and nods her head.
Becky Lynch: “Yeah, I’m ready. I’m ready to show everyone why I’m still The Man. Whether I’m on the silver screen, or on the stage of a theatre production, or in the ring, I’ll go through anyone and everyone to prove it. You know, after I lost the Women’s title last year, I thought that I would finally ride off into the sunset because I finally got what I wanted. I got the big title win on the biggest stage of the EBWF. If I had decided to hang up the boots after losing the title, I wouldn’t have had a problem in the world because I felt whole after walking back through that curtain.”
Winter: “What changed since then?”
Becky Lynch: “I just started feeling the itch of wanting to be in the ring again. Aside from that, this is a make good for the fans that didn’t get to see me at Last Survivor.”
Winter: “You had a legitimate reason for not being there, though. You and I were helping people in the wake of the wildfires.”
Becky Lynch: “I know, but…”
Winter: “You feel like you let down your wrestling fans because you were helping members of your community stay safe.”
Becky Lynch: “Yes, that’s exactly how I feel. I felt like I couldn’t leave until I was absolutely certain that every survivor was safe, had food, water, clothing, and shelter.”
Winter: “The fans will understand that. They’ll respect that. So, you haven’t let them down.”
Becky Lynch: “Thanks for the clarity.”
Becky says with a smile as she rests her head on Winter’s shoulder.
Winter: “One thing that shocks me is that you aren’t angry at all about being in the Queen of the Ring tournament, because four to five years ago, you were dead set against being a part of it. The last time that you were a part of it, you still harbored hatred toward it.”
Becky Lynch: “I still don’t like the tournament, but I’m not really broken up about it. Plus, the idea of winning three of them would be a fun way to add myself to the history books.”
Winter: “It would get you another shot at the title.”
Becky Lynch: “You’re right, although, I haven’t gotten my rematch from last year.”
Winter: “Yeah, well winning the tournament will guarantee you a rematch this year.”
Becky Lynch: “When I get it, I will be champion again.”
Winter grins before responding.
Winter: “That’s the spirit.”
